Keisha Burnette has more than two decades of entertainment-focused legal experience, including having served as a Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Atlanta Law Department. To prepare for her career, Keisha Burnette earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She went on to enroll in the University's law school, earning her Juris Doctor and the Gressman-Pollitt Award for Appellant Advocacy. She also completed North Carolina Mediation Certification Training. Upon earning her JD, Keisha Burnette became a Corporate Legal Manager at Turner Entertainment Group, Inc. She managed legal matters for TBS, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, TCM, TNT, and other networks. Her responsibilities included drafting and negotiating sponsorship, co-promotion, talent, vendor, license and production-related agreements. From 2011 to 2019, Burnette worked for the City of Atlanta Law Department. Continuing her focus on the entertainment sector, she led and advised on legal matters related to numerous film and television productions and sporting events in the city, including Super Bowl LIII, the Fast and the Furious franchise, Family Feud, Captain America, and Black Panther.

Pitch It Atlanta
Keisha Burnette is an entertainment attorney with more than 20 years of experience with television networks, the City of Atlanta Law Department and the Atlanta Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment. Keisha is a Board Member with the nonprofit organization Women in Film and Television Atlanta (WIFTA). In 2019, she co-chaired one of the organization’s signature events, Pitch It! Atlanta, which enables content creators to pitch their television and film projects to network, production and studio executives from across the country. This year the event will be held virtually on Saturday, October 16, 2021. WIFTA has partnered with entertainment industry training platform Stage 32 to offer 3 exclusive pitch training sessions and a virtual pitching event using Stage 32's online platform. This event includes three training workshops designed to prepare creators for the one-day VIRTUAL pitch event.
