First, understand that the opposite of panic is not blithe acceptance of the situation – it’s clear-minded, positive, day-to-day action. So yeah, be upset for as long as you want. Get drunk. Do whatever you have to do. After that, I want you to sober up, splash water on your face, and consider some facts.

Gay marriage has overwhelming support nationwide – 55 percent to 37 percent against.

Legal abortion is favored by 56 percent, with 41 percent opposed.

The vast majority of the population supports background checks for gun buyers – up to 90 percent in some polls.

A majority of Americans support some kind of universal health care, 58 percent to 37 percent.

64 percent of Americans are worried about global warming. Only 36 percent are not.

And – get this – Americans overwhelmingly agree that immigration helps the country more than it hurts, by a 59 percent to 33 percent margin.

Okay?

Your country didn’t go anywhere. It’s right here where you left it. America is nothing more than a big ol’ collection of people, and those people are more diverse and progressive than they have ever been. That train won’t be stopped. Donald Trump’s supporters are by and large an aging and shrinking demographic. We didn’t see the backlash coming, but that’s on us – a look at our history would have taught us to expect it.

In light of that, there are a few things to understand going forward.

Slimfast Vox Box

My slimfast Vox Box came with 4 items. One chocolate shake, a dark chocolate meal bar, sour cream and onion crisps and cinnamon bun crisps. Sadly, I can only recommend two items from the #itsyourthing box. The shake and the cinnamon bun crisps. They had the best taste. The sour cream and onions crisps, looked and tasted funny. As for the meal bar, I just don't like dark chocolate or nuts in my food. Go for the sweet items. These items were complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

I do like my sample of airbrush legs from Sally Hansen but I would like to use the spray instead just because I think it’s not as messy. This will dry fast if you’re rushing to get out the door and for my skin tone light worked fine. If you’re more pale with pale arms it will look strange. This was a free sample to test from Influenster.

Moda Voxbox

This is my second favorite box I’ve gotten. It seems like a winter collection. I loved the puffs soft pack even though they came without lotion. I didn’t really like or hate the Rimmel products. They’re not something I use so I’m indifferent. The resource water was just water. I mean nothing was bad but something I like more. What I’m really excited about is the Clairol Hair Food.

Please fire me. Our student population is about 50% Hispanic and our ESL teacher does not speak a word of Spanish, so she calls me daily for help translating letters to parents and communicating with students. I teach Calculus.
