i wanna write #shuca #lucashu so i will write
single dad shu yamino and luca kaneshiro who's the hot guy next door and the one thing that connects them both is a... tv remote. so you see, luca always loses his remote everywhere. he remembers it being placed on an obvious spot, and then comes back to the remote being gone.
if the remote grew legs and ran away, luca probably doesn't know. he hopes that's not the case.
of course, it always ends up being found, having searched around the living room and finding it in places. but this is the first time luca lost his remote and hasn't found it within an hour at maximum. it's been two hours and he still hasn't find the stupid remote. he already checked the living room, then the kitchen, then the bedrooms, then the bathrooms, and yet it's nowhere.
luca has no idea if it's even in the house anymore. with no choice, luca walks outside and proceeds to look around his yard in hopes to find any remote. "hey dad, look. he's looking for something. should we go help?" a kid passing by suddenly asked, pointing at luca's kneeling figure, head in between rose bushes. at some point, the passing parent and kid hear luca yelp in pain before pulling his head out of the bushes, probably in pain from any existing thorns in the bushes. the parent winces at that and walks up to luca, his kid beside him.
"hey, uh..."
"do you need help? you look like you need some."
luca turns to look at the man crouching, matching eye levels with luca. and oh, luca remembers this man! luca remembers him being that guy next door who he always greets every 5 in the morning whenever he jogs. luca nods.
"yeah, sure. i could really use some right now before i lose my mind trying to search around." the three of them then search around, yet even with three people looking around, the remote is still not found! luca sighs as he sits down in his porch, head in hands. the man, whom he knows is named Shu, sits beside him.
"it's been three hours... where is my remote..." luca whined in his hands, frustration turning into more frustration. shu stares at him pitifully. "you sure it's not in your house?" shu asked, pointing at the door. luca only shakes his head.
"no... it's not in there. i've checked multiple times in all rooms and yet it really wasn't there, shu..."
but before shu could say anything, the kid—shu's child—walks up to them with something in hand. "mister wuca! is this what you were looking for?"
luca looks up, and he is instantly flabbergasted. in the kid's hands is, undoubtedly so, his tv remote! luca suddenly sits upright and nods. "yeah! yeah that's it!" luca exclaimed, gently taking the remote from the kid.
"huh? where did you find mister luca's remote?" shu asked, looking at his kid. the kid points at the house. "it was inside, just beside the couch." both shu and luca were shocked, but for different reasons. while luca sat there, looking at his remote and at his house and repeat, trying to figure out how he somehow overlooked a very obvious location, shu's already gently reprimanding his kid about how it's rude to enter a person's house without permission.
"next time, if you want to enter someone's house, ask permission first, okay?" shu said. the kid nods slowly, looking down as they fiddle with their shirt.
"yes, dad..." the kid mumbles, and shu smiles, giving the kid a headpat. when shu's hand is out of the way, the kid turns to luca, who is still trying to process this. "mister wuca, i'm sorry." the apology snaps luca out of his daze.
he looks at the kid apologizing in front of him and smiles. "hey, no need to apologize, yeah? i mean, you found my remote! i should thank you for it." "but i entered your house without permission.." luca blinks and then laughs. "oh, don't worry, don't worry! i'm not mad. just thankful."
that day, shu and his kid went home next door after the whole "searching for a lost tv remote" happened, with luca bidding goodbye. as he enters his house, he wonders if he'll ever get another chance to talk to shu and his kid again.
the next day, he lost his remote. again.
#shuca#lucashu#lucakaneshiro#shuyamino#this is based on a true story when i was looking for my remote but it ended up being beside the couch#i spent like 30 minutes trying to find it too lmao

#noctyx power saving mode
Fulgur's power saving mode scared Noctyx when it first happened. It was a day after they moved in to the Noctyx house, two days after their collab. Fulgur was tired and wanted to rest, but he was also hungry. Thinking that he still had enough energy, he went to the kitchen.
And midway, he suddenly falls to the ground, his IIs showing a message. "Power Saving Mode" 'Well shit.' Fulgur thought to himself, his body colliding to the ground with a heavy THUD. Immediately, everyone else runs out of their rooms, Uki coming out first.
"Now who the fuck knocked off something heavy— Oh my fucking god, Fuufuu-chan!" Uki exclaimed, running down the stairs and checking on Fulgur. The rest, upon hearing Uki exclaim Fulgur's name, came running down the stairs as well.
"Ayo, Fuu-chan????" Yugo exclaimed, shaking the cyborg awake, to no avail.
"Fulgur, this better not be a prank!" Alban shouted, looking the second most panicked after Uki.
Sonny proceeds to dial NIJIHQ about this, wanting to report about Fulgur's sudden situation. About 30 minutes later, Noctyx found themselves waiting by a room.
"No way is Fuu-chan... you know..." Yugo mumbled, growing increasingly worried as time passes. Uki immediately shook his head. "No, of course not. That's impossible." Alban paces back and forth, thoughts full of worry about Fulgur's situation.
As for Sonny, he just stares at the door, hoping that nothing too terrible happened to his genmate. Finally, one of the staff leaves the door, and all four men perk up, anticipating for any news.
"The good news is that Mister Ovid's just experiencing power saving mode as a cyborg."
"He was just simply low on battery and needed to save before he shuts down completely, but there is nothing wrong with him that may deem serious. Perhaps you could charge him? Does he have a charging station in his bedroom?"
Uki instantly nods, replying an affirmative "yes".
"Wait, how do YOU know??" Alban asked, eyes narrowing towards Uki's direction. Uki naturally ignores the thief. After hearing the affirmation, the staff nods. "Well, as long as he charges up, he'll be alright."
Ever since that moment, whenever Fulgur suddenly go into power saving mode, Noctyx doesn't worry too much. All they needed to do is charge him and the cyborg's good to go! And besides, Fulgur's battery can last a week. Maybe even more than that time as more adjustments were applied on Fulgur.
Until one day, he stops functioning.
It isn't even the end of the week, and Fulgur is also fully charged. He was just reading a book when suddenly, his vision went black. There was no warning or even a message that popped up in his IIs that told him that he's going into power saving mode. It was just sudden.
Alban comes home from his Nekonbini shift and sees Fulgur on the couch, reading a book. The thief smiles in glee at the sight of the cyborg.
"Oh hey, Fulgur! Perfect timing! I was just wondering. I want to read some books someday, but I don't really know where to start."
"Mind helping me pick someday? Preferably something action! Or, or! Something cheesy~!" As Alban says this, he puts the grocery bags on the counter.
Right, Alban was in charge of grocery shopping today.
"Whatcha think, Fulgur? Wanna introduce me to the world of literature?"
"It's gonna be LIT! HAHAHAHA! Did you see what I did there? Hm?"
However, there seems to be no response. Alban frowns at this, putting his iced coffee down.
"Hey, Fulgur. Don't be an ass now! Don't go ignoring me!"
Still silence.
Now the thief's just concerned. Is Fulgur doing some sort of challenge? "Try not to talk to Alban" challenge or something? Alban walks to Fulgur and nudges him.
"Oi. Respond to me." Silence. Alban is starting to get worried. No way is Fulgur in his power saving mode? That's just impossible!
"Fulgur? Oi, Fulgur, this is not funny. Wake up! I'm talking to you!" As Alban said this, he finds himself shaking Fulgur, the book in the cyborg's hand now discarded somewhere.
Oh god. Oh fucking god.
Alban feels panic starting to fill him up, and he fumbles in his pockets for his phone. Feeling the phone, he quickly takes it out and dials Noctyx. It took a few rings before Sonny picks up.
"Alban? What's up?"
"SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH FULGUR!"
The rest of the day went by so fast. Sonny instantly told the others via SMS as Uki and Yugo weren't picking up the phone. Uki immediately went home, second to Sonny, and then Yugo was last to arrive. Sonny immediately called NIJIHQ about the severity of the situation. Alban remembers Uki panicking and trying to pick up Fulgur's body, with Yugo coming to help.
Within 20 minutes, they find themselves going to the HQ, only hoping for this to be not as dire as Noctyx think it is. But eventually, realization dawned on them when the staff left the room with a solemn face.
"What happened to Fuufuu-chan???" Uki asked, his voice increasingly loud. The staff stays silent, and it takes all of Uki to not lose his shit and take it out on the staff standing in front of him. Of them. Of Noctyx.
"Mister Ovid's... not in the best condition. His battery seems to have drained all the way to zero. In short, he has shut down."
"But how??? We charged him fully last night! He even told us that he is fully charged and that he's not even halfway 50%! Barely, even!" Alban shouts, face red from frustration.
Sonny puts a hand on Alban's shoulder, calming the thief down from his outbursts. The staff stays silent, and Yugo takes the wheel.
"Is there any solution?"
The staff hesitantly nods. "There is... But it's risky. We would need to switch his battery, but that would mean surgery, and we never encountered this before."
"Anything is enough." Uki replies instantly. Alban blinks and looks at Uki, flabbergasted. "What the fuck??? Uki, you can't just fucking go around and agree to things! Didn't you hear what they said?!"
"And what? Risk Fuufuu-chan dying? Is that it?" Uki snaps back, venom lacing his tone despite it being soft in volume.
Alban flinches.
Sonny quickly intervenes, noticing the tension slowly clouding the already heavy atmosphere. "Now, now. We need to settle on an agreement for Fulgur." Sonny turns to Alban, calm facing worry.
"I'm going to agree with Uki. We have to do this for Fulgur."
"But Sonny..."
"We don't have a choice, Alban. We gotta agree if this is our only way of saving Fulgur." Alban purses his lips, finding no more argument to throw at Sonny's direction.
Sonny's right. If this is the only way, then he has to agree to it, too. The officer turns to Yugo, who has been quiet during this whole ordeal.
"Yugo? Are you agreeing?" Sonny asked, snapping Yugo out of trance. Yugo mumbles a "Huh", looking up at Sonny. "Do you agree on Fulgur getting the surgery?"
Yugo blinks and finally remembers about the risky solution. With expectant eyes gazing on him, Yugo settles on agreeing as well.
Sonny turns to the staff. "We'll agree to it. Please take care of Fulgur. Do anything to make him function again, please."
Decision settled, they proceed to head home, the drive back to the house eerily quiet.

#shuca shippers i am here to feed you with something shuca related + yamini!!
Shu and his son, Yamini, were cleaning the house one day when Yamini discovered a box that had an "in case of emergency" label. Curious, he waddled to his dad, holding the box and showing it to him.
"Papa, what's this?" Yamini asked. Shu looked at his son and sees the box in his hands. "Oh, that? That's a very important box that papa uses in case of emergency."
"Very important box? What's in it? Can Yamini see?" Yamini asked again, already peaking inside the box.
Shu smiles and gives Yamini a headpat. "Sure, go ahead."
Yamini, now given the permission, opens the box and sees a bunch of stickers. Some stickers resembled bananas, yellow hearts, purple hearts, the words "POG" and "EYY" and many more.
"Are these stickers, papa?"
Yamini asked. Shu nods. "Yup. But they're not just ordinary stickers. They are happy stickers." Shu stated.
Yamini was still confused however, tilting his head to the side. "What's the difference?" Shu smiles.
"The difference is that if someone you care for is sad, you take a sticker from this box and gently put it on their face. They will be happy afterwards."
Yamini looks up, surprised. "Really? Will that really work, papa?"
Shu nods almost instantly. "Yep. It works everytime. Especially with dada."
"Dada? Was dada sad before?" Yamini asked.
Yamini was a really curious one, Shu thought. Shu nods at the question. "Of course, Yamini. Everyone has their "not eyy" days. Because of that, your dada would often be the receiver of the happy stickers." Shu still clearly remembers it as bright as day.
He remembers when Luca was sad for no reason, that no matter how much he was trying to pog through the pain, it just wouldn't work.
"Shu, I'm sadge." Luca said during that time, flopping on the bed that they shared. Shu glanced at the blonde man and sighs softly.
"Did something happen, Luca?"
Luca shakes his head, face still planted on the mattress.
"Do you want to talk about your "not eyy" feelings, then?" Shu asked, and Luca shakes his head.
That's okay, Shu thinks, as he lets Luca be while he reaches for a box that is labeled "in case of emergencies".
"Then, do you want a little treat?" Shu asked, facing the man with the box in his hands. Luca lied down there for a while, before shifting position and looking up at Shu with an expression akin to that of a pien.
"Yes please." Luca mumbled, and Shu found it endearing.
Shu opens the box and takes out a sticker. A sticker that has the word "POG" on it. He gently places the sticker on Luca's cheek, catching the blonde man off guard.
"Eh?"
"Feeling better now?" Shu asked, patiently waiting for Luca to reply.
In truth, the stickers are just ordinary stickers. There's nothing sorcery about it. But something about the sticker being placed on Luca's face made Luca feel... happy.
Luca feels like he'll pog just fine.
The man smiles. "Yeah. I feel much better now."
Since then, whenever Luca is sad, Shu would always be there to give Luca a sticker. And if Shu were to feel sad, Luca would ask Shu where the stickers are and then place some stickers on Shu's face.
Because of this odd effect of happiness gained from the stickers, Luca proudly calls it "happy stickers", to which Shu now also calls it that.
After hearing this story, Yamini's eyes shine in awe. "Then, papa, can I have a happy sticker?"
Shu chuckles at that. "Sure, sure. Which sticker does Yamini want?" Yamini hums while looking at the amount of stickers in the box.
"Can I have all of them? Hehe."
Shu just chuckles as Yamini giggles, taking one of the stickers from each type.
"Of course. So as long as you'll feel happy." Yamini's expression beams bright at that and scoots closer for his papa to put the stickers on him.
"Yay! Happy stickers! Eyyy!!"
