if there's one surprising thing I've learned from reading all the tributes and eulogies to Liam- it's that he was in constant contact with SO MANY PEOPLE! People from every period of his life have all said the same thing- he checked on me frequently. We texted constantly. I texted with him the day/ a few days/ a week before he died, like we always did. In all this bad news and sadness, honestly it's a single thing that has kind of brought me joy, it's a sweet thing we didn't know about his life that's actually so nice? I mean idk what he felt... but it paints a sweet picture of someone who wasn't alone

It just… it wasn’t supposed to go this way. He was supposed to get the help he deserved and recover. They were supposed to eventually get back together and rob us all (happily, of course) blind of our life savings for their reunion tour tickets. I was supposed to be able to see him in person, bounding around stage, singing his harmonies and verses, doing mic flips, saying “sing it” and reading silly fan signs. He had so much more life left! He had so much more to do!

This isn’t fair! It isn’t right! This shouldn’t have happened! It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

I both envy and pity all the people in the world that saw the news about Liam and didn't have much of a reaction to it besides maybe 'oh that's sad' and were able to carry on with their day without anything changing for them. Envy because they're not currently feeling this deep aching sadness and sense of unfairness, and pity because that means they didn't get to experience the absolute joy and magic and once in a lifetime-ness that was 1d and its members

I started my day with a headache.

Since Wednesday, today was the first day that I didn't cry as soon as I woke up, maybe because I remembered to remove the 1D songs that woke me up every day from my alarm clock.

I have tickets for Bruno Mars today, I even thought about not going because it doesn't make any sense to me, but a friend convinced me and said it would be good to take my mind off things.

I can't get myself excited, I made some coffee, put on Bruno's songs, took a hot shower and I'm here on the couch unable to comb my hair because my head hurts so much.

I don't know if my head hurts from the sleepless nights or from trying so hard not to cry again.

Couple quick things.

It’s okay if you wake up and wonder if it’s still real. That’s a very normal thing to do. It’s okay if you dream about it, and it’s okay if you don’t.

We’re coming to a point now, where some of us might be feeling like we need to move forward in some ways. And for some of us- that feels very wrong. Please remember two things: first, there is no correct way to do grief. Over the next few days, people in our fandom may start posting/blogging “normally.” That doesn’t mean they aren’t upset or still grieving. It’s just that maybe they need to switch that grief to something a bit more private, and that’s okay. That has to be okay.

Secondly- there’s no timeline here. Please be gentle with yourselves and with others as we all navigate this new reality we live in. I’m here with you, okay? Hand in (virtual) hand, one foot in from of the other. Together. I love you.

Honoring Liam Payne: A memorial across time and space

As we continue to process the heartbreaking news of Liam’s passing, I’ve created this tumblr as a space where we can come together and remember him.

Several of you, including some anons, suggested the idea of holding sn online memorial, especially for those who can’t attend the services being held in various cities. I believe this is a beautiful way to honor him and support one another.

I’ll be posting more details on Monday, as it’s quite late now and I’ll be travelling tomorrow to attend one of the memorials. But I wanted to get this blog up and running to share a date and a way for us to contribute.

We’ll be holding the online memorial on October 29th. The time doesn’t matter — just join in whenever it’s October 29th where you are, so everyone can participate in their own time. What can you share?
