“Huh? Why wouldn’t she b━” Just as KAI was about to finish off her question for Cat, wondering why all of a sudden she was so sure on Cherry indeed not being home, she took one step back and then two to focus her attention over on Cat who was already two steps ahead. The cops should’ve been called right then and there, but calling for help was no longer a thought in the minds of them both once Catalina began picking the lock with a small weapon; one KAIRI had no idea was brought along. “What?! Are you sure? Push it.” And with that, the female’s foot was against the thick wood, pushing its weight open till the foyer to Cherry’s home was vastly exposed. “What the fuck...” KAIRI mumbled, shuddering in chills as she followed her friend’s lead, just more shocked and silent. The house was cold, untouched and very unsettling to ones stomach. The silence and just how everything was still perfectly placed, as if it hadn’t been touched in weeks brought on a queasy feeling to KAIRI’S stomach as she further venture inside. “Cherry!?” KAI called out aimlessly while she crept deeper into the house but still in sight of her friend.. “Cat... everything in here is untouched. Everything. She hasn’t been home. Not when it’s 45 degrees in here.”

“You thought I was gonna wait outside while you do this? Tuh. I didn’t waste half a tank of gas to be no pussy. Just hold on.” as KAIRI propped both of her Zebra Yeezy’s up on the lit up sidewalk that held a dim orange tone from the nearby street light, she undid her crossed arms in which she brought just one lower to grasp a hold of her cell phone that was deep in her sweats, in her palms tightest clutch. It would take a dummy not to take precaution into a situation like this, especially this late and this dark outside. “She could be sleep, let’s just.. um, let’s just knock first.” As KAIRI took a few more steps up into the shaggy cut grass that held an appearance of not being tended to for quite some time, she silently timed her breathing; a tactic she was no stranger of to keep calm; which was very needed in a situation like this. Noticing the strange aura that Cat slipped into all of a sudden, KAI assumed that it was just her nerves, or maybe it was her own worries that had her thinking the worst. The random texts and three seconds of breathing calls she had been receiving slipped back into her mental, becoming one with their current situation as she was starting to think there was some sort of connection here. But as hard as it was, she slipped those recurring occurrences into the back of her mind for the time being and tended to this task first. With just a few more steps, KAI and her friend were at Cherry’s front door. There was no sound, no lights or no sign of any company on the other side of the barrier, but yet, KAIRI didn’t hesitate to ball up her small fist and inflict a few knocks against the painted oak; slowly stepping back as she impatiently waited for answer she somehow figured they wouldn’t receive.

Letting Catalina speak her mind as KAI focused on the road ahead while skillfully weaving in and out of traffic, the many thoughts and possibilities of where their friend’s whereabouts could be had invaded her thought process, sinking her deeper into an obvious silence. Miami was far from a safe haven, in fact there were so many underground secrets going on just beneath the cities lively surface, that the possibilities were endless. Especially as a dancer, a bartender or a bottle girl. You meet an influx of hungry men, more intoxicated with whatever substances, rather than sober and unfortunately, men in those sunken states were commonly on the prowl for women in their line of work. After 20 or so minutes passed, the BMW had pulled in to a suburban little cul de sac; decorated with palm trees and neighboring lights. All homes were lit up, but one. That one being Cherry’s. “No lights..” KAI spoke out the obvious as she parked her car along the front curb of the home just before killing the engine and the lights. With a sigh, almost gesturing that she was ready; KAIRI stepped out of the black ride and slowly began walking to the front of the car with both arms crossed before her breasts. “Just looking at it, there’s nobody home, Cat.”

Nodding her head slowly up and down in agreeance to the female’s words, KAIRI was busy digesting all the information that was given her way and piecing together the signs she must’ve missed. She hadn’t spent much time with Cherry within the past few weeks, mainly because Benny had tried structuring the bottle girls by East and West wings of the club, rather than the groups they started out with. “True... now that I think about it, she did always seem jumpy and like. Startled. But even then, it wasn’t no completely out of the ordinary shit. But I guess..” with a faint sigh, KAIRI swiftly maneuvered the vehicle through a green light then merged onto the semi busy highway just before taking a glance out of her own side window. “And that’s the thing, they aren’t gonna do shit about her missing. Especially once they find out her race and occupation. I just really hope she’s here, bro.”

“Woah, I just feel like there’s measures that can be taken before we get to that point.” snickering back just as softly, KAIRI twisted her keyring around with just two fingers, using her other hand to check through her phone notifications just once more before she hurried to her apple music app; prepping for what playlist she’d have on shuffle during their drive. While listening to Cat speak, KAI lead them both out of the complex and just a few feet aways to where her all black BMW x4 was parked. Two clicks of a button and her ride was unlocked, notifying them both just by the flashing of it’s headlights. “Wait... you hope? You think that’s linked to why Cherry is MIA?” already knowing where Cat was taking it, KAIRI wide eyed her friend after she had climbed inside of her foreign ride, starting the engine almost immediately. “Do you think, uh.. we should talk to the police if she happens to not be home?” KAI inquired, letting Real Big by Nipsey Hussle softly emit through the hidden speakers as she switched gears to her SUV and cautiously backed out of it’s parking spot once they were both inside and buckled.
