  Siegfried’s shoulders relaxed by the younger looking man’s words and calm gaze, he was caught off guard but the other didn’t mind it one bit and went along. He nodded slightly just after that, funny thought as he was the one who would have apologized but it was better to leave like this instead of burying his image deeper by apologizing constantly.

 “Is that so.” He took a small pause. “Do not worry. I am sure you also felt slightly alarmed by my presence, as I am also part Dragon.”

Having seen the arm of the Grecian warrior, he looked away trying to not be seen as rude. However, it was interesting nonetheless. There were other Servants with the trait of Dragon but he was the first, asides of himself, to be actually covered by dragon scale on his body.

  “It is an honor meeting you, Sir Cadmus. I think my name gives it away. I hail from the land of Xanten, now known as Germany. I have slain the evil dragon Fafnir and became one after bathing on its blood. I hope we can get along in the long run in this Grand Order.”

Bird of a feather flock together... huh?

Cadmus had thought to himself that his circumstance was... quite unique even amongst dragon slayers. In fact, he had been unique in quite a few regards even as a Greek Hero. He did not follow the ‘live large, die fast’ philosophy like most of his successors did... nor was his major flaw anything to do with wrath or hubris. But rather, the guilt inside him from killing the Isemanian Dragon, child of Ares. Guilt.

Such a strange flaw amongst Greek heroes. For killing a monster, no less. In actuality, he had no longer thought of the dragon as a monster. Rather, he must have been the monster to the dragon whom he had disturbed its peace. It had slaughtered all his comrades and friends... but it only did so in self-defence. The Ismenian Spring had been guarded by dragon... and his crew had disturbed the spring, untouched by the toxic human hands. Yet, such anger built up inside him in that single moment. Before he knew it, he had far too much blood on his hands.

A Cadmean victory... a victory that pretty much amounted to a loss due to what it cost him. And a phrase that would go down in history. A man who had won, but lost. That was something that could have summed up his entire life. The guilt finally consumed him by the end of his rather long life, and the curse of the Dragon was brought upon him by the father of the Ismenian Dragon, and the god of war himself.

Cadmus had spaced out for a few moments staring at his dragon-like hand; as the dark markings around his neck and chest creep up to cover part of his face; almost consuming around a quarter of his right side. The eye which had just been its normal golden hue had suddenly turned into a crimson red; the pupil becoming slit. 

The Lancer staggered back, covering his right eye with his hand... he had let his own thoughts get the better of him. “Ngh.... My apologies, Sir Seigfried. I... I did not wish to show you such an unpleasant sight so soon into our first meeting. The curse that had been placed upon me is rather strong. Fortunately, as a Lancer, I cannot fully turn.”

Regaining his composure, his face slowly turned back to how it had been before. His eyes becoming the golden hue it had been originally. “...Yes, I look forward to working with you. After all... this is all for the preservation of humanity. I wouldn’t have allowed myself to be summoned by any other purpose otherwise.”

 Word of another Servant related to Dragonkin was quick to fall into the Dragonslayer’s ears, while he was not a sworn enemy of them, it was always worth checking out, was it his experience on the topic or was it his own draconian blood reacting towards them? No matter the cause.

 “To think there would be another Dragon trait Servant… My sincerest apologies, you caught me thinking outloud. My name is Siegfried, Saber-class Servant. I have never seen you before, were you summoned recently?”

It had only been several hours since he was dismissed by his master from their tour of the facility, and had barely been a day since his initial summoning. The grandson of the sea god had been the type to wander around on his own, and so, his master had let him go off. Cadmus had been pleasantly surprised that rather than being fearful of his dragon-like appearance, the young saviour-to-be of humanity had welcomed him with open arms. This brought a small, barely noticeable smile on his face, but it came with a whole lot of baggage as well. He had been minding his own business, mostly trying to avoid other people. After all, his very presence brought about bad luck. Cadmus’ attention was drawn to the sound of heavy foot steps... his arm, covered in dark dragon scales had twitched, as well as his eyes flashing into a crimson red for a brief moment. 

There had been someone of dragonic origin around.

Though, he did not panic as he did not sense any hostility from the presence coming towards him. As the man came into view, he turns his whole body to meet with his fellow Dragonkin. “No need to apologise. I do not take offence. Though, I will apologise for alarming you with my presence, Sir Siegfried.”

Upon saying the Saber servant’s name out loud, he realises who he is. They had had similar experiences in their lives. “...Yes, I have just been summoned in the morning. My name is Cadmus, I hail from the land of Greece. I am of the Lancer class. It is a pleasure to meet one so similar in feats.” Cadmus said in a rather monotone voice as he extended his scaly hand to greet the fellow.
