no matter what, detransitioners will exist. conservatives and terfs will act as if there's some magical way that you can gatekeep transition to only allow the "real" trans people to transition and "protect" those who have been "mislead" by the trans movement, but that's literally impossible. so the best world we can hope for is one where transition is seen as a matter of self expression and bodily autonomy

So many queer and trans people really, truly love to show that they haven't unlearned a single ounce of biological essentialism and transphobia, and that exorsexism is still ingrained into their belief system once the topic of AMAB and AFAB trans people (specifically NB4NB and NB4T relationships but this does extend to bianry T4T relationships too) in romantic/sexual relationships are brought up. Especially when one or neither partner identify as transmasculine or transfeminine, and especially when said relationships are referred to as queer by said partners. From their relationship dynamics, how said people resent themselves/transition, all the way down to something as personal as their sex lives; AMAB/AFAB trans relationships are analyzed and scrutinized under a microscope within queer/t4t spaces where literally anything will be used against them to prove that their relationship isn't actually queer and they're just cishets taking up rescourses from actual queer and trans people. It's honestly wild how engrained this is within queer/trans spaces and how little it tends to be questioned, let alone refuted. Some of the things I've seen other queer and other trans people say in regards to these relationships sounds literally indistinguishable from how radfems talk about relationships, it's honestly embarrassing.

I feel like a lot of this comes from just general ignorance about what conservative Christian believe, and I think it's pretty harmful. Because you might lead an unknowing kid who calls themselves ace or poly, hell, even just being a furry into thinking Christian conservatives will treat him better

So within two days of each other, Fox News writes an article comparing aromanticism and asexuality to pedophilia, and then Matt Walsh releases a video saying asexuality is a mental illness and asexuals are tricking teenagers into having depression.

Not sure what’s going on right now over in Conservative World, but it’s a hell of wild U-turn for them to suddenly switch from “Oh no! The left is sexualizing our children!” to “Oh no! The left is asexualizing our children!”

as a transfem, the level of hatred towards transmascs and dismissal of their oppression is so fucking vile it makes me sick. i know for a fact the same people claiming trans men benefit from male privilege and the patriarchy would be aghast at somebody claiming trans women do, even though the arguments are the same: the idea that i as a transfem could choose to hide my transness and pass as a man and gain male privilege.

Yeah, that's really the crux of it. If it's not okay to do it to one then it's also not okay to do it to the other. And just like it's horrible to use your asab as a weapon against you, it's horrible to use the gender I landed on as a weapon against me, because neither of us chose this and both of us have similar yet unique experiences with sex and gender as a direct result of being transgender.

And then when trans fems speak up saying "hey, I think this is mean", they're immediately subjected to harassment until they're fully silenced so that people can continue to say "see, trans fems don't support you".

"Destroy gender roles!" I hope you're including trans people in that statement? I hope you're not shaming trans girls who want to be butch or trans guys who want to wear lipstick. I hope you're not accusing feminine trans guys of "not trying hard enough" or being "confused lesbians". I hope you're accepting trans men who wear dresses and lipstick. I hope trans drag kings and trans drag queens are welcome in your spaces. I hope trans women with facial hair and trans men without are being treated well for their choices. "Abolish gender roles" means jack-shit if trans and non-binary people aren't included.

Trans unity is so important. I am glad to have support from other trans people

But as you can assume the hate comments were Word for Word repeating what terfs say, and what I said terfs say about trans people. That anything male=bad= more privileged

And some were just confused cis people that throw transphobia aimlessly which I prefer to politicized transphobia. It's ignorance vs. tacking on transphobia to "feminism"

It is our duty as trans people to protect younger trans kids from being groomed into hate movements. Trans adults, help steer trans kids of all varieties towards compassion and kindness and away from dangerous and "radical" movements like baeddelism, terfism, swerfism, transmedicalism, etc. Promote kindness in your communities wherever and whenever you're capable. Sop hurting your younger queer siblings especially. I see you older trans people who are bitter and having arguments with 15 year olds. CUT THAT OUT!!! DO BETTER!! BE KIND!!
