Rainy day
When I saw my town through the window on a rainy day, I remembered that my mother had bought me yellow rubber boots. I wanted blue ones and I felt embarrassed that only I wore yellow ones. However, now, the memory of the yellow boots make me feel calm.

(2024/06/02) Denny's menu display
I went to the Denny's with my family today and noticed that the cover of this menu display is drawn by Hisashi Eguchi. He is a manga artist and also an illustrator. I like his illustrations, especially illustrations of cute girls. I felt nostalgic for this Denny's menu illustration.

(2024/05/28) The square at Fukushima City.
Recently, the center of Fukushima City has been deserted. Because some department stores closed in the last few years. Even on the weekend, there are not so many people there. I think this situation is expected to remain unchanged.

On my way to my office that morning, I felt comfortable because it was nice weather. For that reason, the two trees that I am used to seeing looked bigger than usual.

Kusatsu Hotel
I went to Kusatsu City in Gunma prefecture. Kusatsu is famous for its hot spring. I’ve been there for the first time with my parents and my sister’s family. I stayed at Kusatsu hotel, which was built more than 100 years ago. Because of its age, we can hear the sound from the next room. However, the dinner and breakfast have never been better in the last several years for me. The room charge was expensive, but I am satisfied with the hotel’s quality.

My daughter’s teeth
Recently, my youngest daughter’s teeth have been failing out one after another. Today she had another wobbly tooth, so I pulled it out for her with my finger. She didn’t cry; on the contrary, she said thank you. Unlike me, she has no cavities. I hope that she will keep her beautiful teeth.

Fireworks
My family and I went to a place near our house to see fireworks. On our way to the place, we met my eldest daughter's friend. My daughter met her for the first time in four months. She told me that she had grown taller only in three months. We watched fireworks and took pictures. It was fun because we watched them for the first time in a long time.

Koji Tamaki
I like 90s Japanese pops. I especially like Koji Tamaki, who is the vocalist of the Anzen chitai. As a lot of Japanese people say, I think he is one of the best singers in the world. These days, I often listen to his songs on YouTube.

Pandemic of coronavirus infection
Today’s Japan news said that the number of people infected with the coronavirus last week reached the highest in the world. The Japanese government hasn’t yet announced any movement restrictions. I’m planning to go to Kusatu hot spring this summer with my parents. However I have to give it up if the restriction will be announced.

My task starts
My task started yesterday. The task is to pick up my daughter by car after she studieds at juku, which is a ptivate school that offers private lessons. The juku starts at 6 pm and ends at 9 pm. Actually, I also went to a jyku 3days a week and my father picked me up every time. Time flies! I enjoy this task because I can talk about many things with my daughter on our way home. Perhaps my father may have had the same feeling.

Juku
I participated in an explanatory meeting for my daughter at a private tutoring school. My daughter also attended the meeting and took a test to determine the level of the class she should be placed in. Now she is busy studying and doing her club activities. However, she wants to go to the juku. We didn’t force her to go to the juku, though.

Brass band competition
I went to Paruse Iizaka to see a brass band competition in which my daughter played the piano. The competition is a prelude to the prefectural tournament. She played well. Listening to her piano, I almost cried. I hope her team will win the competition and be able to go to the prefectural tournament.

Passive aggressive
The other day, I’ve learned the phrase “passive aggressive” on YouTube. There are a lot of people who show “passive aggressive behavior”. Perhaps I’m one of them. I sometimes avoid talking to people who I don’t like. A psychological counselor on YouTube said that a person who shows “passive aggressive behavior” Perhaps I’m one of them. I sometimes avoid talking to people who I don’t like. A psychological counselor on YouTube said that a person who shows “passive aggressive behavior” is generally nasty, mean, and insidious. This type of person is hated by people all around him. I’m going to overcome the personality trait.

Online English lesson
I started taking online English lesson the other day. All teachers are Filipino. One lesson lasts 25 minutes. In the lessons, you can talk freely with your teacher, study from a textbook, or discuss news on a website. I selected to discuss the news on the website. Although I am going to continue the online lessons for a month, I’m considering how I can utilize these lessons efectively.
