hey hey I want to talk about how half of the population misses Alejandro’s character and constantly shoves him into ships (no I hate to ships I love Alejandro ships😖) and just sexualises him.
Alejandro is a very complex character and I love him so much. Alejandro is flirtatious as a strategy. He says in his biography that he works by figuring out what people want to hear and he says them at the right time. He probably switches his personality for every person he interacts with, meaning he probably doesn’t know what his own personality is. He mentions his dad is a diplomat but doesn’t mention a lot about him. He says in Hawaiian punch that José is not worth mentioning and only Chris mentions his dad which means he most likely doesn’t have a good relationship with his dad. He is a pretty clingy person to people he likes, whether that be Heather, Noah or his mum. All stars didn’t do a good job at characterising any of the characters so we can’t really focus on his personality in All stars, though realistically he’d have burns from the volcano and robot incidents. But I do believe he’d cars about his looks, especially in episode one of all stars where he looked worse for wear as he wasn’t able to take care of himself. He grew to love small spaces, to the point of needing to sleep in a sleeping bag as he couldn’t sleep in open spaces. I think it’s implied he grew up in a very competitive environment which caused him to win so bad as well as the fact he wants to win to be better than José and not to disappoint his family. He mentions they went through a lot of nannies which meant he picked up the manipulative nature he has in the show at a young age. He most likely got this off of his family as he says ‘manipulation runs in the family’. He probably doesn’t like himself much as when he was fighting José he didn’t put much effort into it, though when Heather was brought into the picture he went all out. I just think the fandom and even the writers believe he cannot be his own person and is just there for a relationship, he boosts other characters but his own characterisation is never seen. Even when there is Alejandro ships with angst it is always the other character going through it and not Alejandro. What if I were to say Alejandro is one of the most tragic characters in the whole show. Even when he has some kind of angst it’s mostly José and nobody really draws him with scars, like I can understand it’s a pain but can we pls get sad scarred Alejandro Hes my son 😔
#alejandro td#alejandro burromuerto#there's not enough alejandro angst#like bro is definitely got trauma and nobody talks about it
