Victor tilted his head and took the shirt from Yuuri. “I’ll get you a new one.” He put it in the hamper, and removed his own clothes. His hair was a bit out of control, since he had let it naturally dry. The hair in front of his face was a bit wavy, and his skin was a bit damp and cold as well. 

Oh, no. Victor had not pad much attention lately, but his stomach was poking out just a bit. He was used to being so skinny and fit, but he was looking a little bit on the soft side. Maybe it was all the stress and the inactivity aside from the rink he had been experiencing. 

He poked at his stomach gently, and stared at Yuuri. “How do you pull it off so well, off season?” 

It was not easy for Victor to gain weight at all, and even harder for him to lose it, he was sure. The older male got into the bath, and sank down until the top of his face was only visible. “…don’t look at me.” 

Yuuri continued undressing himself, not paying much attention to Victor as he did. He shifted his attention back to Victor when he began talking. A bit confused at the question, he then realized what the Russian was talking about. 

He hadn’t seemed to notice that he was in better shape than Victor. Yuuri looked down at himself then over to at the older male. “I guess I’ve been spending more time working out and skating than usual.” 

It was weird for Yuuri to be the one who was more fit. He always gained weight easily but he hadn’t put on any recently. He wasn’t bothered by Victor gaining a little bit of weight but Victor seemed to be. “It’s okay that you put on a tiny bit of weight. You’ve seen how much weight I’ve put on before.” He got into the bath and wrapped his arms around Victor. “You always look amazing to me.”

Victor hummed softly and returned the hug, holding tightly to the other male. “I love you too, always… even if I am confusing sometimes.” He stayed in the other’s embrace silently for a few moments, before he felt himself begin to cry again. He stopped himself, and pulled away to look at Yuuri.

“I never finished my bath. Perhaps you could join me there? I want to wash Itsuki off of you, Yuuri.” He gently began removing Yuuri’s jacket. “I miss baths with Yuuri so much… you’re so soft to rest against. I’ll make sure you clean and relaxed… like a good coach.” 

Yuuri smiled as Victor asked him to join him in the bath. It had been awhile since they had bathed together. It had been awhile since Victor had been motivated to do anything together, other than lay around. “I expect you to wash me well then.” He gave the older male a smirk.

“I really need a warm bath right now.” He took Victor’s hand and lead the way to the bathroom. Once there Yuuri pulled his shirt off and looked at it. “If we are going to get Itsuki off of me, these clothes are going to have to go.”

Victor couldn’t help but smile a little bit. Papochka sounded so funny, yet so thrilling. He wanted to nurture someone, and be able to do some good for someone else, in a different way than he had Yuuri. A few more tears slid down Victor’s cheeks, and he began smiling even more. 

“We should certainly look into it! Think about all the attention that’s going to bring. The press will eat it up.” He began laughing quietly. “I can’t wait to retire… I can focus on you, and a child. Yuuri this excites me, but I am afraid that I am going to cry. Any second now.” 

His voice was breaking up a bit. “T-take me home, before anyone has to see.” 

“You are right, we should keep everything quiet for now.” Yuuri was so glad to see Victor smiling again. The smile was wasn’t forced at all, Victor was actually happy. His husband feeling happy made him feel even more happy.

“Alright Victor, let’s go home.” Yuuri took the older male’s hand as he began walking. They made their way back to their home. Once inside Yuuri pulled Victor into a tight hug. “I love you.” He mumbled against Victor’s chest.

Victor blushed softly, mostly out of the pent up feeling of wanting to cry again. He shut his eyes tightly. A child couldn’t replace Makkachin, he hoped Yuuri was aware of that. He didn’t know what to do about this feeling. He had never felt it before, and Yuuri wasn’t shedding much light on the answer. 

“O-Oh, we fight, and you come up with something so beautiful to say.” Victor’s expression was unclear. He didn’t know how he felt right now. “I don’t want you to think I’m some lonely old man, who needs your company twenty-four/seven, but… that’s what I am, isn’t it?” He thengrinned just a bit. 

“But, I do want to be a father. Only if you think I’m ready, though.” 

Yuuri shook his head lightly. “I don’t think you need constant company. I just think you need some inspiration. Yuuri smiled with excitement when Victor said he wanted to be a father. “I think you are are read and will make a great Papochka.”

Yuuri was looking forward to what a child would bring. He was pretty good with kids himself, spending time with Axel, Lutz and Loop whenever he was back home. Yuuko was the originally the person who put the idea of kids in Yuuri’s head. “Yuuko is the one who brought up kids the last time I called her. Plus my patents would be thrill to have a grandchild, since I doubt think my sisters is going to have kids.”

Victor sniffled softly, both because he was crying, and because the cold Russian air was making his nose run. He was happy to have a warm hand resting on his cheek, and not one smacking him across his face, which is what he thought he deserved for accusing Yuuri of something so horrible. Those accusing words just flew out of his mouth though, with no thought behind him. 

“A child? Yuuri, we’re both men.” He didn’t quite follow, at least not immediately. Victor’s expression softened slightly, when he finally realized what Yuuri was talking about. “Why have you been thinking about them? I… don’t know what to say… I’ve been so bad for you lately. What makes you think I’d be a good parent?”

Yuuri chuckled at Victor mentioning they were both men. “We can adopt, silly.” He knew Victor needed something to help bring inspiration into his life. A child would help brighten up their home and bring them closer together. 

“Victor you would make an amazing parent. You put so much passion into the things you love.” He brushed a stand of hair from his husband’s face. “Just think about having a child around. We can teach them to skate and when I’m not home you won’t be as lonely. I would love nothing more than to have a family with you.”

Victor understood why Yuuri would be angry with him, but he didn’t know what he could do. He didn’t feel like doing anything. “I’ve not been myself.” He mumbled, “I’m sorry… Yuuri, I’m really sorry. I’ve been no kind of husband to you, and you deserve so much better than the Victor you have to deal with right now…” 

And, here came the tears. They had been held back so strongly today. He just wanted to go home, to his dog, and to feel happy with yuuri again. Victor didn’t know if he could, though. 

“I’m sorry… okay? I’m sorry… forgive me…” He moved away a bit, and shoved his hands into his pockets. “I can… leave for a while, if that would make you feel better.” 

Yuuri turned around to see Victor crying. He rarely saw his husband cry but everything that’s happened, maybe crying what something Victor needed. When the older male suggested leaving Yuuri felt his heart sink.

“I don’t want you to go anywhere but home with me.” He gently wiped the tear from Victor’s face. “We are just going through a rough point” He smiled, resting his hand on the Russian’s cheek. “We will get through this, together.” He unsure if he was ready to bring up something he was thinking about recently. “You know Victor, I’ve been thinking a lot about kids lately.” He decided it was a good time. This was Victor’s final year and they had been married for some time now. “I was think specifically about us and how we have enough love to give to a child.”

Victor had never been yelled at like this, not by Yuuri at least. He didn’t know what to do about his moping. All he felt was sad, and angry, and hopeless all the time. he very rarely felt happy, even if he tried. He stared at the door for a few moments, even after it slammed. When he snapped out of it, he got up and tried to run after Yuuri. 

“H-hey-!” He reached out and grabbed Yuuri’s arm, when he finally caught up to him. “H-hey… Yuuri… listen to me, please…?” He tried to keep a good hold on him, but he couldn’t stop shaking, from holding back how much he wanted to cry and yell, and beat Itsuki to the ground. Victor sniffled quietly, and not just from the cold air. 

“Yuuri… I’m sorry, okay? I got very overwhelmed back there and I promise I won’t let that happen again, okay?! I didn’t mean to!” 

Yuuri was surprised with how angry he got. He had never yelled at Victor like that before. He had just gone through so much all at once. He felt like there was nothing he could do to help Victor. 

Hearing Victor call out to him, he just continued walking. Yuuri still felt upset that Victor even though he would cheat. He only stopped walking when he felt Victor’s grip. “I’m not upset with what you did. It’s what you said, Victor.” He clenched his fist in anger. “I’m upset because you accused me of having an affair. I didn’t do anything to lead Itsuki on. Never once did I show him anything other than friendship. What he did was because of his own fantasy. Like I would ever leave you. When you came in and saved me I was so refiled. Then to find out you though I encouraged it...” He didn’t turn to face is husband as he spoke.

It was so rare for Yuuri to be calmed Victor down. Victor was normally so collected. Bottling those emotions up though didn’t help the intensity when they finally came out. He wanted to lunge at Itsuki and beat the shit out of him, but he’d likely be arrested, or something like that. He couldn’t let that happen, not in his last year of competing. 

“Calm down? It’s okay?” Victor mocked Yuuri, and moved his chin from Yuuri’s fingers. “Wh-Why did I have to find out like this?” He was on the verge of crying. “What have you been doing with him?!” 

Yuuri was shocked that Victor actually though he was having an affair. “You think I’m messing around behind you back?!” He felt the anger boiling up inside of him. “I can’t believe you’d actually think I’d do that! Itsuki just attacked me and you are making this my fault!” He could feel tears running down his face as he spoke. 

“I trusted him as a friend and a person I could mentor! I spent so much time with him to get experience...” He felt worse and worse as he spoke. “I wanted experience to someday be a coach like you!” His voice just kept getting more angry as he went on. “If you weren’t so busy being depressed and mopping around the house, you would know I don’t just spend my time with Itsuki! I help everyone who needs it! I’ve even helped teach skating lessons to kids.” He began walking towards the door. “Whenever I’m around the little kid skating, I would dream about our kid skating someday.” He opened the door and stepped out of the room. “I guess I’m a cheater so that dream will never come true.” He slammed the door shut behind him.

Victor was choking him, not saying anything. He hated what he saw, after all this shit he was dealing with! it wasn’t fair! Had he not been a good person? if he lost Yuuri, then what else would he have? He’d have nothing. Maybe he was just angry inside, ever since the loss of his best friend. He felt something like anger every day, and this just was too much. 

And, man. Did his anger show his age or what? He glared Itsuki down, as he continued squeezing his neck. Yuuri wasn’t even reaching him at this moment. Victor was red in the face too, like it would be when he was drunk. 

It wasn’t until Itsuki collected himself and kneed Victor in the gut, that Victor leg him go to hold onto the pained area. Itsuki dropped onto the floor, and coughed for air. 

After Victor let Itsuki go Yuuri ran to his husband’s side. “Victor, please calm down.” There was so much anger that was brewing within Victor, Yuuri had no idea. He wrapped his arms around Victor which was the only thing he could thing to do. 

Yuuri grabbed Victor’s chin and looked him directly in the eyes. “Victor listen it’s Yuuri.” He stayed calm as he attempted to calm Victor down. “Vitya, it’s okay...you saved me, I’m okay. I love you, everything is alright. Just breathe.”

Victor was shaking a bit, and he slammed the door behind him. This was just too much. He had never shook like this, never felt such anger boil in his blood, making his cheeks burn a bit. It had happened a few times before, but never like this. It never hurt like this. 

Approaching them, he had already grabbed the back of Itsuki’s collar and yanked him off of Yuuri before he could even register just what was happening. He slammed itsuki against the wall, that hand grabbing the collar now on Itsuki’s throat, the other arm pinning his chest against the wall. Victor was panting, and shaking still. 

Within a blink of an eye everything happened so suddenly. One second Itsuki was on top of him and then next being pinned to the wall by Victor. Still in shock it took him a moment to register what was going on. 

He had never seen Victor like this ever. The anger in the older male terrifying. “V-Victor?” Yuuri’s voice was shaky as he got up from his spot. He had never seen Victor act this violent towards another person. He was scared to move towards the man he loved when he was like this.

Well, that definitely couldn’t be ignored. What the Hell did that mean? Victor got out of the shower, got dressed, and went out. He had not even bothered drying his hair. It was still wet, and slightly slicked back, when he finally got to the karaoke bar. Panting heavily, he got inside and asked where Yuuri Katsuki had went. When he was taken to the private room, he took a few moments to catch his breath, before going inside. 

What was this? What was he seeing? 

“What in the fuck am I looking at?” 

Yuuri tried to explain to Itsuki that he loved Victor and will only ever love Victor. Itsuki wasn’t taking no for an answer. Itsuki confessed his love and managed to corner Yuuri. After attempting to fight back he was pinned down and Itsuki began to unbutton his shirt. He begged for the younger male to stop but it didn’t work. As soon as the last button was undone, Yuuri saw the door open. 

“Victor, please help me!” He screamed out to his husband with fear in his voice.

Victor scrolled through his social media accounts, commenting on Chris’ pictures mostly. upon seeing yuuri’s account updating, he went to his profile and found the picture. Now, he was known to be the jealous type, ever since the Chihoko incident. He didn’t even remember that. The wrong idea definitely popped into Victor’s head, and he put his phone down for a moment to try and calm himself. 

He couldn’t ignore a text, though, not from Yuuri.

[Message]: Do you need me to come down there? I just need to get Makk

He had slipped up, but sent another message in its place.

Yuuri’s phone was knocked out of his hand before he could finish. An incomprehensible text was the only thing that sent. Itsuki then began getting closer to Yuuri, explaining how he was better for him than Victor. Yuuri back away now scared of his situation. 

He didn’t understand what was going on. He though Itsuki was his friend, this wasn’t like him at all. Yuuri only hoped Victor would get that something was going on. The only thing he was able to do at the moment was attempt to get away.
