I may be just a friendless heathen or something but I do not understand why everyone was so heated in Friend-shit? Like I get y/n blew shinzo off too many times and shinzo blew up about it in a bad way but why can’t the two work it out? Is it just too fresh of a wound? It just seems to me like they threw away their friendship for nothing. I am sorry if I am missing something obvious I really don’t have many friends. Your writing is amazing and I love your fics btw.

As I told a different anon it’s not always about what you say but how you say it. He completely flew off the hinges in the first one (for good reason tho) and basically ended the friendship right there. And then in the second one, his apology was a bit back handed since he tried to make it seem like Y/N was the reason why they weren’t friends anymore when he was the one who told Y/N to fuck off. He wasn’t taking accountability for his actions. So thats why Y/N didn’t forgive him. But you’re right tho, everything could have been handled a lot better. They both overreacted if you ask me🤷🏾‍♀️ lol

Dang I don’t even like Dabi but I was on his side in the argument in How Silly. Yeah he was an absolute Ass but if he tells you from the jump that he wasn’t about relationships then how can you really get mad at him cause you got in your feelings and played yourself? I feel for y/n they deserve so much better but at the end of the day why are they mad at him when he kept it real from the start and they just didn’t want to listen?

As much as I really do understand the point that you’re making, because it is a very valid point, sometimes it’s not always about what you say but how you say it. And my mans Dabi has absolutely no concept of that lol. Even though he did tell Y/N how it was gonna be from the beginning, he could have at least thrown her a crumb of a fuck when handling the situation😂🥴. But you’re definitely right tho, idk what Y/N was thinking trying to bark up that tree, cause I mean homie ain’t a villain for no reason. Smh😩

“FRIEND-SHIT” Part 2

Setting my phone done on the table, I let out a heavy breath that I didn’t even realize that I was still holding in. My face warm with the simmering anger and hurt bubbling beneath my skin, I could feel a slight headache coming on.

“Hey babe? You good?” Haru called to me from across the table, his eyebrow raised with a small frown on his face.

We were supposed to be enjoying a nice afternoon at this new cafe that had just opened, but I could barely pay attention with everything that’s going on.

My mind and emotions were all over the place, I couldn’t make sense of anything and everything sort of felt like it was spinning.

“No? Yes? I don’t know?” My voice was a bit hoarse and light.

I mean how am I even supposed to feel dealing with something like this?

Having to cut off someone that once meant everything to me.

His eyebrow seemed to tweak even higher at my admission and body language. I was messily running my hands through my hair out of pure frustration and I couldn’t even properly look at him.

“Well what’s the problem?”

I wordlessly slid my phone over to him so he could take a look at that tragedy of a conversation for himself. His eyes scanned the screen quickly, taking everything in, not missing a beat. And of course he knew about what happened between me and Shinso initially, because that night on our date, that was all I could unfortunately talk about.

The little chuckle that emitted from him startled me. It sounded like that half laugh you do when you just push air out of your nose.

“What’s the issue?” He slid the phone back to me, his eyes fully locked on mine now. “I personally think that was justice well served.”

So why does my heart hurt so much then?

And as if he could see the true agony that I was in, he spoke up again a certain gentleness laced in his tone.

“Look, don't beat yourself up over it too much. He bought that on himself, because it’s one thing to be understandably upset about something and then it’s something entirely different to just be a straight up dick about it. You repeatedly apologized to him when it happened, just as you did every other time and if he couldn’t just accept that then why should you have to now? I know it may hurt because you lost a friend, but at this point it is what it is.” He shrugged slightly, grabbing both of my hands into his giving them a comforting squeeze.

“And if there’s any consolation, I’m actually really proud of you for standing your ground. It’s pretty awesome that you didn’t let him try to walk all over you. That’s my girl.”

His eyes sparkled as he spoke to me, he looked at me like I was his everything which made me feel ten times better. And you know what, he was right. It did really hurt that I had to lose someone so close to me but I think I made the right decision. I'll always love Shinso and he’ll always have a place in my heart, but I think it’s better if we go our separate ways.

At least I’ll always still have Haru.
