Photos of when I experimented before the actual shoot to see if there were any adjustments to be made. I used a white plastic spoon at first but decided it blended in too much with the sugar.

Pink,black and green are common colours used for their texts.

after doing some research I found out that cosmopolitan used the adobe font Franklin Gothic. I will download this and use it for my work so it really looks a part of the magazine. I will also do an intro page before my photos to introduce the theme and help service.

Unedited images on my chosen four addictions. I am pleased with how my images turned out.

Although I couldn’t get sugar cubes in the end I am still happy with how the sugar addiction photos turned out and I honestly think I prefer this to how the sugar cubes would of looked.

Addiction Helpline

I have been doing some research on what addiction helplines I can use in my short written article to go with my photographs. 

I found some websites and help lines but most only catered to those suffering with drug or alcohol addictions, where as I needed something that covered a wide range of addictions. 

I found beating addictions , http://www.beatingaddictions.co.uk/ , this offers support and online support to those suffering with addictions or for those who have family and friends with addictions.

As I couldn’t find sugar cubes I’ve decided to use regular sugar and some sweets to represent sugar. I can get sugar for free and sweets for £1.

The fruit I purchased was less than a £1, I purchased two as I needed to practice before the shoot.

I decided not to do poker chips and cards as I considered cosmopolitan readers to be more interested in bingo and bingo apps. I purchased a bingo dabber for £1.20 and will print out bingo cards.
