"No there is no easy way to get this." Kate said. She inspected the hardware. "Hmmm." She hummed as she took pictures of the stuff.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âExactly.â Kate commented. âDoesnât surprise me that they left in a rush.â She said as she looked around. The remark about the military spec hardware. Walking over she looked over it. âHmmm interesting.â She said.
Leo almost laughed at her words, she seemed very sure that the thought of her dropping by would sway Intergang to up and leave. There had to be something more to it. âIâd say so, that kind of hardware isnât cheap or easy to get hold of.â

Kate noticed Lena rubbing her wrist. "How about you swing by Kane Industries at some point. Perhaps help with some projects that you know will be used for good." She said trying not to say 'for Batwoman'.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
Kate stared at the board for a moment and her letters before playing a five letter word. âSo how goes L-Corp?â She asked. âAnything fun and exciting going on?â She asked with a soft chuckle.
âJust paperwork.â Lena grumbled, playing another word as she shook her head. âI feel like Iâve been in a creative slump since⌠the whole Mercy thing.â She muttered, unconsciously rubbing at her wrist as she reminded herself of the whole ordeal. âHaving your tech stolen by domestic terrorists kind of puts a dampener on the joy of creating it.â She sighed.

Kate was silent at the question. On one hand Kate was still hurt by those actions, on the other was Pamela trying to make amends. "We will get there, it will just take time. Help me and it will go a long way to making amends." Kate said.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âI know that Intergang wasnât your crowd.â Kate commented. Letting out a sigh, she looked at the red head. âThat doesnât surprise me.â She said with a shrug. âOn an unrelated noteâŚâ She started. âHow are you and the Green?â She asked.
âHappy together as ever.â Pamela muttered with a small shrug. âIt was a little⌠upset with me for the Wayne Enterprises stunt.â She admitted, rubbing the back of her neck, an expression almost verging on guilt flitting across her face. âBut weâre good again.â She muttered, before quirking her head slightly as she looked at Kate. âAre we?â

"Then what is your type?" Kate asked. She held and empty glass. Leaning against a table, her eyes scanned the room again trying to help Max.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âNothing wrong with that.â Kate replied. She was hardly one to judge someoneâs sexual orientation. âIt just helps me narrow down weather I should try to nab someone like that guy in the corner, or those very lovely business women relaxing after work.â Kate said as she point them out.
Max scanned the various people she was pointing out, his suspicions rising momentarily at the loner in the corner before moving on to the group of women. âNot exactly my type.

âSo youâre looking for clues?â Leo strolled after her into the abandoned looking hideout. âThey left in a hurry,â he commented, looking over desk with all its drawers hanging open. âMilitary spec hardware, if the scuffs on this surface are anything to go by.â Sharp blue eyes appraised the wooden desktop, noting each scrape in the varnish and the ghostly pattern they made. A laptop had sat there, one with a substantially reinforced casing.

"Maybe I just needed not to be in a confined spot with a shouter." Kate commented as she landed outside. Though she really didn't have what she needed to fight Siren. Looking back down at the woman she shot the grappling hook at the blonde to try and pull her up.
âWhy are you here? Just to try and kill a bat?â She asked getting her grappling hook ready. Kate hadnât expected to be in a fight with Siren. âPretty sure the disappointed ship set sail long ago with Batman.â She said.
âIâm bored and youâre easy pickinâs.â Siren taunted her. She followed the shadowed silhouette that passed overhead. âDidnât think youâd be such a coward.â

Kate smirked at Leo's words. "This had been a known hideout for Intergang, but seems they up and ran before I had a chance to bust some heads." She commented as she moved carefully around the room.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âNancy Drew is a badass.â Kate commented with a smirk. âNope just Alice. Though I think she goes by red Alice sometimes, but nothing concrete linking the two names.â She said. âIntergang. They follow this book called the Crime Bible.â She explained.
âI should get around to reading those..â Leo mused before pushing himself off of the wall and moving down the alleyway toward her. âRed Alice?â why did that name sound familiarâŚÂ âAh, those I have heard of.â He wondered if he could use the Bureauâs databases of the timeline to find her 2019 location. âAfter you, Bat Drew.â

katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âYeah. It is a harsh and cruel fate, but at least we can look sexy as hell.â Kate commented with a smile. Sipping her drink she looked at the board. âItâs your turn by the way.â She said gesturing to the barely touched Scrabble game.
âThat we can.â Lena agreed with a small chuckle, before nodding as she returned to the game, she looked over the board, considering, before placing down a simple enough four letter word. âYour turn.â She shrugged, knowing she could pull out more complex plays once it got to the late stages of the game and hopefully snatch a win.

"I know that Intergang wasn't your crowd." Kate commented. Letting out a sigh, she looked at the red head. "That doesn't surprise me." She said with a shrug. "On an unrelated note..." She started. "How are you and the Green?" She asked.
katexthexbatwomanxkaneâ:
âThat is the one I mean. Bruno Mannheim is in jail but this Alice has taken up his place.â Kate commented. âShe seems to be able be really good at hiding.â She commented as she crossed her arms.
âI never fell in with that crowd, unfortunately. Crime for the sake of crime has never been my style.â Pamela shrugged. Sure, she had robbed banks with Harley and coordinated heists with Selina, but the money taken had always been to fund her purpose as the Greenâs emissary. âI might know a few people who could help though, back in Gotham. They might get cold feet though if they find out itâs for your benefit.â

âI look into a lot of things.â Kate said. âCurrently, Iâm trying to find anything on a person named Alice. I believe she is tied to a group that I hoped would of scattered when their prophecies failed, but seems Alice stepped in.â She said. Of course she recognized the man, but he didnât know her, well not with her mask on.
âWell arenât you a regular Nancy Drew.â He thought he had the reference correct, the books hadnât existed in his world, but heâd been told about them by Mona. Apparently heâd missed out. âAlice. No last name? Which group?â He could help, work was slow for the time being and he could always courier back as if he hadnât left.

âNo usually flying them out.â Kate commented with a smirk. âTrue who would ever think I was a Vigilante. It would be absurd.â She said. Taking a moment to think she gave a small shrug.
âI used to be. Had a really unfortunate time in my life where I was kind of like that. Did the whole ghosting after a one night stand.â She explained. âThen I actually tried dating someone, and well⌠I fucked that up spectacularly. More than once.â Kate commented.
âGuess it comes with the territory.â She said. âTo us. Kate Kane and Lena Luthor.â Kate said. Leaning over she clinked her glass against Lenaâs. âSo far Iâve mostly been doing harmless flirting not really expecting much in return.â She said as she sat back.
Lena gave a half-smile in sympathy at Kateâs words. âBeen there.â She muttered under her breath. She was never quite sure if it was a product of their upbringing, or just the way they were, that relationships tended to crash and burn dramatically for people like them. âGuess it does.â She agreed with a rueful sigh, before clinking her glass lightly with Kateâs. âTo us, lonely billionaire heiresses.â She chuckled a little at the poor descriptor. âHonestly, I try not to even do that anymore. Better not to invite interest - Iâve proven relationships just⌠are not what Iâm built for, but Iâm not really comfortable with one night stands either. Either way, if I flirted with someone I would just be leading them to disappointment.â

Standing up Kate popped her neck while looking at the woman. âBatman is hardly my mentor.â She said as she pulled out a detonation batarang. âIâm just willing to do what he wonât.â She said throwing the batarang at the ceiling. When it exploded part of the roof fell down.
âI guess thatâs the upside of things. He canât be disappointed in how you die,â she hissed. Laurel noted the trajectory of the fast moving batarang. The sickening crack of the concrete above echoed around them. Laurel pressed into her heels before unleashing the full extent of her cry. The sonic pulses disintegrated the larger slabs that rained down from the ceiling. âCute trick but your toys wonât save you.â

Kate let out a soft sigh as Pamela poked her forehead. A very soft smile crossed her face. âUsually I am.â She said. There was still a lot of anger under her skin from when Pamela held her hostage, but now wasnât the time for that anger to boil over.
âHave you heard of a woman named Alice?â Kate asked. âHonestly surprised Jervis Tetch hasnât popped up looking for her.â She add as she crossed her arms.
Pamela allowed herself her own smile of victory when she caught the small quirk of Kateâs lips. She knew she would have to work up the courage to properly make amends and apologise eventually, but at least she knew whatever resentment Kate held for her, there was still some warmth underneath it.
âA few, but Iâll take a wild guess and say this isnât about anyone I might have gotten into bed with.â She arched an eyebrow at Kate as she dropped her hand from her forehead. âI assume you mean the woman operating in Gotham who was linked to the Religion of Crime?â

âSorry to burst your bubble but Iâm no hero type.â
Kate wasnât expecting to be jumped by a meta, especially Siren. Being flung from her position caught her off guard. âYou know⌠Unlike Batman I do actually ask bad guys for help.â She commented as she got to her feet.

âThatâs your first mistake. You should follow your mentorâs footsteps and clear out of this city. Thereâs nothing here for you.â

âItâs hard to snap a picture when you live in the penthouse at the top of a building with helicopter access.â Kate said with a smirk. âAre you implying Iâm using innocent women as cover for what? Moonlighting as a Vigilante?â She asked with an amused chuckle.
âPlease tell me youâre not actually flying one night stands in by helicopter.â Lena snorted a laugh around her drink at the thought, only growing more amused at Kateâs suggestion. âNot quite vigilantism. No offence, I know youâre in shape, but I donât see it.â She chuckled before shaking her head. âI donât know. I just donât think youâre as much of a âplayerâ as people think you are. Correct me if Iâm wrong, you just strike me as too much of a gentleman to pick up random women and then ghost them.â
