Beyond evil 🤝 hot fuzz

Danny butterman's lines in hot fuzz were originally written for a woman. The director didn't change anything about the relationship which means the cops in the film end up falling in love. Nicholas angel who hated the idea of living in a small town and being surrounded by so many dumb police officers ends up liking the place because he finally found his perfect partner.

I read on Twitter today that Han Juwon  character was originally intended by the writer to be a woman…

And … I’m not surprised. In fact, this explains a lot. Explains where this “ghost” love line came from. This is something beautiful, ephemeral and a little sad that hovers between the characters. As if in another life they were man and woman, in love.
