To live every day under genocide, with the forced starvation and displacement, lack of access to proper shelter and extremely expensive (and limited) healthcare, and still go out of your way to do everything you can so that the people around you can have a higher chance of getting help and donations?

Mohammed is a very kind and hard-working individual. The situation him and his family are in is unacceptable. If you could share his fundraiser and donate to it, it would be greatly appreciated. He puts in a lot of effort to help others, helping him is the least we can do. Please remember that the smallest actions can go a long way in making a difference in these people's lives

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

internet 'accountability' is so fucked up. we shirk outright hostility but we never let anybody forget their mistakes. i think it should be the opposite. we should fight like dogs. viciously and without mercy. but then when the bloodletting is over, it's over. we all move on. we let people lick their wounds and then start posting again. it's healthy, i suspect, to be told that a bad opinion is bad. but it's not healthy to ruminate.

A lack of empathy is not a moral failing.

Some neurodivergent people feel low or no empathy towards other people. This is not an indication of moral bankruptcy or a sign someone is a bad person. You need to stop saying things like "Conservatives are evil because they just lack empathy.", or "The left is the party of empathy."

The word you are looking for is compassion.

Empathy is a feeling in which the suffering of others causes you to suffer to some extent.

Compassion is a conviction to do good for your fellow human beings because you feel their suffering should be alleviated.

The correct statement would be "Right-wing politics lack compassion." And the inverse "Leftist ideals are built on compassion."

We as leftists should not assume those incapable of feeling a certain emotion are incapable of acting with compassion, as that is deeply ableist.

The feeling of empathy can motivate compassion, but it is not required for a person to be compassionate. Those with low or no empathy can and do act with compassion. To care for others even in the absence of an instinctual pack-bonding drive to do so is truly revolutionary, and it should be recognized as such.

can't stop brainrotting over trey and riddle's dynamic, now i'm thinking about the fact that in the manga riddle's mother physically recoils and pulls her hand away instead of comforting him when he's in distress but it's trey taking riddle's hand that's the key to pulling him out of his overblot state. and then in the novel's version of that same scene riddle hears someone calling out to him "so gently, so desperately, so indiscreetly" and wishes that it would be his mother but it's actually trey who's offering him that gentle, unconditional love and comfort.
