Ben looked around him, before facing the guy again. Was he talking to him?
“I dunno, you tell me.” Ben looked on expectantly. Keeping his shoulders relaxed even if he felt guarded about the whole situation. The guy didn’t look like he was picking for a fight. And even if he was, Ben thought he could take a few swings from a skinny guy before it escalated too quickly.
Maybe is Happy had just a bit of awareness for his surroundings, he’d have realized how ridiculous the whole situation was. But, alas, that was a skill that he did not possess. “I figure something like when hell freezes over, which was why I asked. To like, get a better answer. Be my brains for a moment here.” This was what he got for not thinking things through before letting words spill from his big, loud mouth.

“Come on mate.” Happy and her were not so different. She knew he would not be a killer if he could avoid it. It was more a barking game than a biting one. “I wish we could. It’d be nice to just coerce them into leaving. Good riddance.” Eleanor had already thought about drugging the other team and then putting them back on their ship and send them back to Earth. But she was not sure about all the technical details of that plan and she was not close enough, nor did she trust the competent people on her team to share that idea with them.
“Well, what do you want to do, then? Hang out and pretend to be best buddies?” Come on, if he couldn’t count on Eleanor to go along with some crazy plan to get rid of the Clayton group, then who could he count on? Was no one going to help him drug and kidnap a whole group of people? Not that he had actually suggested that to her yet. He’d voiced the thought to others, even though he probably shouldn’t have, but done was done. “Cause I don’t know about you, but I feel like progress would happen much better if they weren’t around. Just saying.”

hushseela:
Seela enjoyed the silence. The silence of a planet with hardly a fraction of it populated, the silence of a day that had just barely begun, the silence of nothing around for thousands upon thousands of miles. The silence, some might say, was a matter deafening– frightening, even. For how could a place so very silent, so very void of life, could leave anyone feeling anything but uneasy? A simple answer to that, Seela would provide. For as much as he adored the silence, as much as he yearned for a space uncluttered by noise for his thoughts to roam..
The silence was shot through and stomped on by blond curls and a loud mouth.
Russet eyes raise to meet against the blue hovering above them, though the look in his eyes countered the curiosity with irritation. “Must the world rumble every time you decide to say something?”
Seela. Sweet Seela. Beautiful, patient, kind Seela. Do you really not know by now that acknowledging Happy’s presence will just make life that much more unbearable for you? Shit-eating grin equipped, the aforementioned curly-haired blond inched ever closer, his day only made better by the irritation in Seela’s voice. “Don’t you know, I’m the son of Thor! The earth shakes as I speak, and the heaven’s tremble in my presence.” Yeah, witty retort there, big guy.
“Don’t tell me you aren’t at least a little bit interested in seeing the other’s gone. Come on, Seely bro. Back me up on this shit.” Don’t you even mind Happy’s fist shoving against your shoulder to nudge you a bit. And especially don’t mind the overly gleeful tone to his voice, or the childish look in his eyes, as if it were Christmas morning all over again and Seela a present to be unwrapped.

“I mean physically disabling them is entirely out of the picture, what they lack in brains they make up in brawn.” As much as Gul wanted to think they the Exoplanets were probably better at everything, she did have to give it to the Clayton’s when it came to the amount of muscle they had. “Sounds like a great plan in theory but we’ve all just got to deal with them in the end. Plus that type of shit would never pass with team leader.”
“What team leader doesn’t know, won’t hurt her.” Never mind that it probably would come back to bite their team leader in the ass if Happy, or others, decided to mess with the Clayton crew. But even if it meant a bit of trouble, he would really prefer that over having to live with the other team many more days. If they would just resign from the company that had employed them, he’d be fine playing camp trip and picnic with them. “But I guess for now all we can do is try to be the better team, or whatever. Make results faster, and all that.”

makoawarrior:
Makao chuckled at Happy’s reaction. He was pleased to be intimidating and menacing enough to not have to raise his voice. “Well it’s not happening. Leave them deal with that on Earth and frankly it is not my business. I am here to ensure my team’s safety and that is all I care about. Now are we going to have a problem with you ?”
“Noooo. No problems. Nope. Not from me.” While happy was definitely a very confrontational guy, he knew to pick his fights, and this was not a guy he wanted to tussle with. At least not in that sense of the word. Man, this was one handsome giant. But that was absolutely besides the point right now. Right now, all he wanted to do was to protect his own pretty face as much as possible. So he opted for shaking his head and denying everything. Or, you know, mostly everything. “Well, at most only verbal problems. But there’s, like, freedom of speech right? Promise I’m all bark and no bite though. I would never hit someone first.” Unless they threaten Annalise.

“Because we are better than that.” Eleanor sighed. As much ash she disliked Clayton people, she was not a killer and she would not have it in her to get rid of them that way. Nor did she think they deserved to die. “I just wished we could send them back to space and be done with it.”
“I just wanna say that I, in fact, am not better than that.” It was more so that he felt a bit sick at the idea of killing another human, despite having chopped up quite a few chickens in the past. Then again, it was the company he had a problem with, not the individual people on the Clayton team. “But I agree that sending them back the way they came would be best. Less cleanup, and all that.” And less guilt.

“I don’t know about you but I’ve already ditched them.” Gul laughed at this retort, she wished they were gone. After the robbery she was dead set on the fact that a Clayton probably instigated and planned it. It pissed her of beyond means, they were now down on so many supplies. “I only entertain them if there is something critical going on that needs their input. Otherwise I avoid them at all costs.”
“Emotionally ditching them is a great temporary solution. But I was thinking, you know, getting rid of them physically.” Personally, Happy wasn’t blaming the Clayton mission for the missing supplies. He thought it was probably one of the local fauna. One of the few things he didn’t have against the other team - mainly because he wanted to believe they were too stupid to be able to pull that off. “You know, drug them so they fall asleep and then carefully put them back on their ship and send them back to Earth, or something. I’m sure one of the smart people would know how to pull that off.”

adomxrhee:
Adom arched an eyebrow, his head tilting just enough to display his bewilderment without making him look too silly. Was the person sitting before him confused, or was he just joking? “You know that I am a…” Adom raised his fingers to make air quotes. “‘Claytonian’, right?”
“Which makes you the most qualified person to ask, don’t you think?” It wasn’t as if Happy simply didn’t know the names and faces of everyone on the planet due to lack of interest in anything human. not at all. What would give anyone that idea? Obviously he knew exactly who he was talking to. “How long is gonna take before ya’ll just pack up and go home?”

“You’re not getting rid of us blondie.”
“Well, obviously not on my own, no. That would be quite the challenge. And, I mean, it’s not like I just want to get rid of you. I just want to, you know, send you back home for a bit and then I’m sure you can come back after, you know, negotiating a deal or something. I don’t know if you already did but I doubt it, given... everything. Anyway. I guess you can stay for a bit. That’d be fine.”

“I wished we had already. But it’s not like we can kill them.” The other team was on the Planet and there was nothing they could do to make them leave.
“And why not?” He challenged, well knowing that even if they did try to kill them, it would probably be pretty hard to pull off. “It’s not as though anyone would have to know. Just the few of us on this planet. Plus, they can’t exactly throw us in the slammer for it given that we’re light years away.”

“How exactly would we ditch them?” Sawyer raised an eyebrow. “We’re all sort of trapped here.”
“We go on an expedition to some of the more heavily forested areas and then we leave them. They’ll probably get lost and then we won’t have to worry about them any more. Easy.”

It’s not every day that you find yourself on a foreign planet, at the mercy of a star straight out of a science fiction novel, surrounded by strange plants and fauna that make the reality of how far from home you are seem that much more real. Unless, of course, you’re on an exploratory mission for the good of mankind and have actually been on said planet for more days than you care to count. Especially given that, you know, in Happy’s case he actually kind of preferred this space adventure to Earth. Too many people on Earth, too much polution, way too big a focus on capitalism. Which leads to, of course - “So, when're we gonna ditch the Claytonians?"
#exoplanetstarter#look okay I don't know#I wanted to get a starter out to at least get a bit of interaction going#and this was the first thing that came to mind

So, hi, you can call me Joe. I’m 24 whole years young and oh boy has it been a minute since I last rped. I’m sort of an artist, sort of a programmer, sort of a baker who wants to go into childcare and holds an undying love for space and sci-fi. I’m really excited to be here and I hope we can all plot with each other and have many fun times together.
So, to introduce Happy to ya’ll:
He doesn’t like you, or at least that’s what he wants you to think.
He also probably doesn’t dislike you though if that counts for anything.
He grew up on a farm and generally speaking he prefers cows to humans. Any animal is better than humans, really, but cows are the best animals.
His family is originally German but Happy doesn’t speak a single syllable of the language, and pretty much the only thing he knows about the country is that it has a problematic history. You will not find anyone out there who cares less about their heritage I guarantee it.
Even though he loves farm work, the sweet Texan town he grew up in, and Annalise (his favourite cow whom he tells all his secrets) Happy always kind of yearned for adventure and new surroundings.
When the word came about Exoplanet HD 40307G, he didn’t hesitate for even a second before volunteering to go there.
He takes his job extremely seriously, and has a deep love for the craft.
When he actually does get close to someone you bet he’d take a bullet for them without hesitation (maybe a little bit of hesitation I mean if he can avoid getting hit in any vitals he’ll try).
He’ll be super fascinated with the change in night sky as the constellations on Providencia would probably look quite a lot different.
He just really wants to meet an alien. Like a sentient one. You know, kind of like the one from E.T. ? Except preferably better looking. Do you think he has a chance with an alien? Anyway, he’s very excited about the potential of extraterrestrial life.
He loves reading and he’d bring about as many books as he could sneak aboard/was allowed to. Secretly his favourites are YA fantasy/action type stuff like Percy Jackson or Alex Rider, but if you ask him he’ll say he’s into The Da Vinci Code (which isn’t a lie, it’s just not his all time fav).
Even though his parents tried to teach him better he generally doesn’t care about manners or being nice.
He knows how to pretend though and if he wants to/thinks it might benefit him he’ll play nice.
