I finished FFXIV Shadowbringers last month and I’ve had different head canon things running through my brain ever since. However, ONE thing just struck me today that really made my bard’s ears stand on end!!!!! One particularly frustrating yet adorable red headed cat man!

Ok, I get it we are the Warrior of Light/Darkness we are capable of kicking both asican and primal tail from dawn to dusk with ease. Yes the death of our character brought was brought about by a calamity and needed to be changed.

So to bring about said change to our fate our beloved guardian of the tower was awoken and several things ensued

1) He was able to in the middle of a catastrophic meltdown of civilization causing a shortage of both personnel and supplies put into action the (what most though was bonkers) ramblings and far fetched ideals of Cid and Nero.

2) managed to not only master the tower but move it wholesale through time and space

3) although first tries bumbled managed to summon us in full person across time/space/rift (which likely should have killed us) and is a skill even the vaunted baddies can’t manage.

4) Help build one of the most successful civilizations on Norvrandt, while preparing for our arrival, and ensuring we would have nearly all things we would need for both daily life and combat survival on hand at the time of our arrival.

5) Most importantly, in mastering the tower gains access to wisdom and power that not even the originators of said technologies could wield.

Now having acknowledged all this crazy hard work he has done, this ornery example of Miqote male hood actually has the audacity to say he is only a small side character in our story and not in his own right a hero........

I can’t think of a time I’ve wanted to both hug and shake till his teeth rattle a character more! (well unless we are discussing Urianger which is a whole other level)
