On 20 Sep, 2023, School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a Guest Lecture on ‘The Power of Communication’ was a highly insightful and engaging event. The lecture aimed to highlight the significance of effective communication in various aspects of personal, professional, and societal life.
The Guest Speaker, Mr. Pradip Bagchi, Senior Editor, The Times of India, New Delhi explained about the importance of Clear and Concise Communication, Building Strong Relationships, Communication in Professional Settings, Influence and Persuasion, Case Studies and Practical Examples.
The event included an interactive Q&A session where students had the opportunity to seek clarification on specific topics and receive personalized advice from the speaker.
The guest lecture on the Power of Communication provided attendees with a profound understanding of the critical role communication plays in various aspects of life. The event was a resounding success, leaving the students inspired and equipped with valuable tools to become more effective communicators.

Visit to the Supreme Court of India
KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education organized a visit to the Supreme Court of India for 1st and 2nd-year BBA LLB and BA LLB students. The purpose was to provide firsthand experience and exposure to the workings of India’s highest judicial institution, aiming to broaden their understanding of legal proceedings. The students were divided into seven groups to observe proceedings in different courts with varying bench compositions.
Notably, a Constitutional Bench led by Chief Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud along with Associate Judges Mr. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Mr. Justice B.R. Gavai, Mr. Justice J.B. Pardiwala, and Mr. Justice Manoj Misra, was in the process of hearing petitions challenging the legality of the “Electoral bonds scheme,” a mechanism that facilitates anonymous donations to political parties. The other benches were presided over by Honourable Judges, Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Mr. Justice S. Sundresh Deppankar Das, Mr. Justice Suryakant Datta, Mr. Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, Mr. Justice Aniruddha Bose, Ms. Justice Bela M. Trivedi and Justice Mr. Ujjal.
The visit aimed to complement theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, allowing students to interact with legal professionals, experience courtroom dynamics, and understand the application of laws in real cases. Interaction with members of the Bar Association provided practical insights into the legal profession, and students explored the Court's library and Museum to enrich their knowledge of legal history and resources. Overall, the visit intended to enhance students' legal education by immersing them in the real-world environment of the apex court.

Seminar on "Media Marketing"
To acquaint students with the significance and function of media marketing, KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education (KCCILHE) hosted a seminar on "Media Marketing" . We were honored to have Mr. Sridhar Aranala, Vice President of Sales & Distribution at The Hindu Group, as our distinguished guest and resource person. Additionally, we were privileged to have Mr. Sunil Mirza, GM (North India) of the Hindu Group of Publications, as our special guest.
Students eagerly anticipated the insights of accomplished professionals and industry expert Mr Sridhar Aranala who shared his knowledge and experiences in the realm of media marketing. His talk encompassed various topics, including the role and importance of media marketing, business supply chains, and the evolution of media marketing. Students gained insights into how diverse businesses employ various marketing strategies to promote their products. Our esteemed guest also showcased informative video clips, enhancing the students' understanding of the role of media marketing.
The seminar culminated with an engaging question-and-answer session, in which students actively participated.

On 11 September, KCCILHE began three days orientation program to induct students of BBA, BCOM(H), BCA, BAJMC, BBA LLB(H) & BA LLB (H) admitted in the new batch of 2023-24 The first day of the Orientation programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Colonel Anurag Awasthi, Vice President, India Electronics and Semiconductor Association & IAS Shri Naveen Kumar G.S, Revenue Secretary & Relief Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh and extended a warm welcome to students with a motivating speech.
Our eminent guests enlightened and motivated the students on various opportunities with regard to their future prospects and other choices. They asked the students to prepare for a successful career with a clear vision about what lies ahead and what can be achieved at the end of their courses. The Orientation programme was very productive as it guided the students about options for their career choices as well.
Further, the various cultural and academic societies talked about their roles and responsibilities through presentations. The cultural societies left their mark on the day through their energetic performances. The program concluded as a great success.

Cleanliness drive: World Cleanup Day
NSS Units of KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education conducted Cleanliness drive on the occasion of World Cleanup Day on 16 September 2023.
Before commencing the cleanup effort, the NSS Teams assembled all the required cleaning equipment, which encompassed trash bags, gloves, brooms, rakes, and safety vests. The leaders of both teams, Ms. Avni Arora and Mr. Mayank Kr Jha, conducted a comprehensive safety briefing session. Following this, volunteers dispersed across the park, initiating the collection of litter, cigarette butts, and other discarded items from heavily frequented areas, picnic spots, and playgrounds.
The NSS Volunteers, filled with a spirit of community engagement and a commitment to environmental responsibility, enhanced the park's visual appeal and their initiative was successful.

NSS Day
To commemorate NSS Day on September 24, the NSS Volunteers from KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education embarked on a meaningful mission. They paid visits to both an orphanage and an old-age home, devoting their time to educating underprivileged orphaned children and gaining wisdom from the elderly residents of the old-age home.
Their visit to Gharonda Bal Ashram in Ghaziabad was a heartwarming experience for both the NSS Volunteers and the children. Engaging in various activities with the youngsters created lasting and cherished memories.
Furthermore, during their visit to the Manop Foundation Old Age Home, the volunteers engaged in simple yet profound interactions. Whether it was spending hours listening to the captivating life stories of the elderly residents or dancing with them, the experience served as a poignant reminder of the significance of compassion and the value of intergenerational connections.

KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education organized a seminar on the topic ‘The G20 New Delhi Declaration: Key Takeaways for International Law Perspective’. The eminent speaker of the day was Dr. Sunil Kumar Agarwal, International lawyer & Ex joint Director, National Security Council Secretariat (PMO).
Dr. Agarwal Sir delivered his opening keynote on the topic by emphasizing on the significance of International Law in the legal career and pointed out the importance of the same in the recent G20 Summit. He further discussed India's geopolitical status and India’s emerging place in the world by emphasizing on the theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, One Earth, One Family, One Future. He focused on the key takeaways of the G20 Summit and how this Summit highlighted India’s rich culture, social diversity with unified features, strong political will, rising economic development, military strength and strategic and diplomatic depth.Overall, the seminar was very informative and interactive.

Skill Development Program 2024
KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education hosted a Skill Development program titled " Excelling the Corporate Expectations by Acquiring the 21st Century Skills " on October 11, 2023. Mr. Ashish Kumar, Service Delivery Manager at Tata Consultancy Services was the guest speaker and provided his valuable guidance to students on aligning with contemporary corporate requirements and acquiring essential skills.
The Skill Development Program (SDP) encompassed several crucial topics, including comprehending the expectations of freshers in the corporate world and effective strategies to surpass those expectations. It also delved into methods to enhance the likelihood of securing job placements, offering insights into common interview questions and tips for excelling in interviews. The session highlighted significant skill domains and certification pathways for students to explore.
Towards the conclusion of the session, Mr. Ashish Kumar, the resource person, engaged with students, addressing their queries, and assisting them in discovering opportunities for internships related to their specific skill areas. The overall session proved invaluable knowledge to the students seeking internships and placement prospects, equipping them with essential tools for their future endeavors.
