Together, forever

Splatters of starshine paint the dull blue canvas of the night sky, in the foreground a sweaty, frail woman sits dangerously on the edge of a sky scraper.

The woman stares down with a blank expression, she steps forwards but something catches her throat, a white, paper hand. A pretty paper girl with pastel pink hair and little black gumdrop horns emerges from a slit in the fabric of the world.

The black haired, mess of a woman who’s being clutched by this frankly terrifying beautiful girl struggles to speak.

“Ggghk.. could you… let go..?”

The paper lady, now just kinda floating mid air drops her little companion immediately, the girl slams into the concrete, completely unfazed.

“WOW!! YES!! Apologies, friend! Where are my MANNERS!? I’m… uh… SPOT!! Yes!! You, mortal, can call me Spot! Now… why were you planning on jumping off of this building? That seems like a counter productive thing to do, yes??”

The messy woman looks her up and down, and sighs,

“…I’m Gray. Don’t worry about it, doesn’t concern you, bye.”

Gray takes a step off of the building and yeah, she sure is falling! She glances down and double takes as she sees that Spot’s teleported right below her, arms outstretched.

Spot grins and grabs her, trapping her in a bear hug while they fall, she stares wildly into Gray’s eyes, gray stares back, fucking bewildered.

“LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU POP!”

Gray regains some of her composure, right, this’ll be annoying to explain, she thinks to herself as Spot positions it so she’ll land on Gray.

SPLAT!

Gray turns into paste, like shattering a glass bottle of tomato sauce, sausage, and teeth.

Spot turns to leave but her attention is caught by this sickening sound of meat and bone crackling and popping back together, she turns and,

“WOW!! HAHA!!! NAKED!!!”

Spot laughs and points at newly reformed and newly nude Gray, who rolls her eyes and cracks the briefest smile. Spot doesn’t notice, she’s too busy staring at anything but Gray’s face in like a cosmically disrespectful way, Gray doesn’t know what to make of this and starts putting her now gut stained clothes back on.

“I can’t die, but I like to try from time to time… just in case.”

Spot summons a notepad, pen, and glasses. She starts writing this down. She nods excitedly along to the explanation. Gray finishes by asking her own question:

“…ok so like what’s your story though?”

Spot raises a finger but just kinda stops,

“Uhhh.. I don’t rember.”

Gray pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs, she turns, fully ready to just walk off and be done with the situation. Spot follows her and just keeps on staring allll the way to Gray’s apartment.

1. These two are like really toxic fluff when I write them, Gray feels her heart flutter around Spot and Spot keeps getting closer to her and asking why her face is turning red, they’re so cute!

2. Remember the “he wants no pickles” meme? That’s them but Spot blows the store up

3. On their first anniversary, Spot revived Gray’s childhood cat and turned it into an equally immortal zombie kitty who lives with them now! Gray got Spot flowers for the anniversary and felt really bad about it in retrospect!
