For books like this you want to position your 65 lb cardstock paper 2 pages back from both covers and a few sheets of inkjet copy paper 3-4 pages back from there. 1952 EC Comics MAD 1 GD- · Very brittle · Tan pages · Super fragile · This book seems to fall apart if you look at it funny. · Spent an hour doing a very light dry cleaning on the book. · Damp Q-Tip to correct folded over tears and misc chips. · Spine splits at top and bottom. · Horizontal Spine split at middle through whole book, cover to cover. · Humidity tank chamber for 24 hours · Regular high heat damp pressing · Still a very expensive book in this grade and condition. · In the $800 range as it currently sits.
