Joy In An Imperfect World
For some of us, it is not so easy. The world seems to be falling apart at the seams with all the injustice, violence, and division. One could ask, is there any room for joy in this world? While some would say no, there are others who would gladly say yes! And why would they say yes? It is because they have fully embraced God. People who have joyfully submitted themselves to God, handing all their troubles over to Him, always have a smile on their face and go on with their lives without complaint. God has filled their hearts with such joy that they are thankful to Him for all that He has given them.
Make no mistake, such joyful people suffer hardships too. Some lose a loved one, they may lose a job, or something tragic may happen to them. But through it all, they turn to God, leaving it in His hands.
Yes, cultivating joy in an imperfect world is not easy and sometimes it seems impossible. Yet, faith in God makes it possible. It is one of the things that God asks of us: to have faith in Him, to leave everything in His hands. When you do that, you will find that the weight of the world is no longer on your shoulders. You take joy in the simple things such as the smell of flowers, the warmth of the sun, and the cool breeze.
Yes, you can have joy in an imperfect world.
Philippians 4:4-7: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Curious Faith
Curiosity…..we all have it. As children, we were all curious about things. It's why we bombarded our parents with questions: “What does this word mean?” or "How come things are like this?". This insatiable curiosity was a driving force to learn about the world around us. When something looked unusual or fascinating, we'd become little explorers, drawn closer to inspect it or compelled to touch it. This urge to interact with the world was a double-edged sword. While some touches resulted in delightful discoveries, like the soft fur of a newfound pet, others were not so pleasant. Those bad feelings came with the sting of a cut, the prickle of a burn, the surprise of a bug bite, or – worst of all – the sickening crunch of something breaking, followed by the dawning realization that you were in big trouble. As we get older, the curiosity does not go away as we are still learning about the world. It’s why some of us continue on with our education after graduating high school. Even if you didn’t finish school for whatever reason, you still kept your curiosity and learned through books and life experiences. The biggest curiosity comes when you are expecting something new or unknown. Like reading a mystery novel, your curiosity is intrigued and you want to know more about what’s going to happen. This same feeling can be sparked by anything from a historical documentary that uncovers a forgotten secret to a conversation with a stranger from a completely different culture. Curiosity fuels our desire to explore, to ask questions, and to understand the world around us in ever-greater depth. I am speaking about curiosity because I have realized that there is one thing that most of us probably don’t ever get curious about and likely have not thought about. It is the curiosity about God. Some of us have probably not ever gotten curious about the things that God has done and/or is able to do. Things such as parting the Red Sea so that Moses could lead the Israelites out of Egypt or keeping Daniel safe as he stood in the Lion's Den. Now granted, these things are acts of Faith requiring us to believe without physical proof. Yet, isn't that very mystery, that leap we take in trusting the unseen, what sparks curiosity within us? Perhaps pondering these grand acts is the first step on a journey of exploration and a deeper relationship with the divine. The Faith in God that he will protect us and guide us is a powerful cornerstone. When you think about it this way, since one's Faith in God is what allows God to work in our lives. Then what other things can be accomplished by having Faith in God? Imagine Faith as a bridge between us and the divine. By strengthening this connection, we open ourselves to a greater flow of God's grace. Perhaps unimaginable strength will surface when we face challenges, or maybe doors of opportunity will swing open, revealing paths we never knew existed. The curious things God has in store for us when we keep our Faith in him are likely far beyond what we can imagine. It's a beautiful mystery, a testament to the extraordinary potential that unfolds when we align ourselves with something greater. Perhaps we should be more curious about what God has in store for us. Not just about what we can gain….but in how far can we go as long as we keep our Faith in God? This is a curious question that cannot ever be answered immediately. But it will be answered as long we keep our Curious Faith in God.
Proverbs 25:2-3 says: "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter."

Dear Heavenly Father,
For everything I go through, just continue to hold my hand and walk with me. I may not always be obedient, I may not always listen and I may not always understand. But with what little faith I do have, all that I am asking right now....Just hold my hand and walk with me.
