favorite word?

currently i'm a little fixated on the word 'bijirin'. It literally means 'cereal' in Malay, but istg nobody i know calls it 'bijirin'- everyone calls it 'cereal'. Same goes for other """lost words""" like 'gizi' instead of 'zat' which means 'nutrients'. If noone loves lost words, I will love you.

ps. They're not literally lost words- its just that people don't use it as much anymore. Basically it's like saying 'defenestration' instead of 'throwing something out of the window' or 'ablution' instead of 'bath'.

Other fun words I like are karenah, perangai, and Malay names for things- Like, the Milky Way is literally called 'Bima Sakti' which translates to 'Sacred Beam' ??? Makes me giggle
