When men see a woman they think is sexy, they become completely incapable of seeing her as human being. It’s like there’s some component in them that switches their perspective of her from “human” to “object I want to fuck” as soon as they get horny.

The baseline for men’s understanding of women’s humanity is admittedly low, but you can occasionally find one who understands that their mother, or their daughter, or their elderly female neighbor, etc, is a full human with an inner life. Your straight friends are being misled by millenia old ideas that the vulva is (either physically or ritually) unclean, and the all-too-stubborn patriarchal concept of female frigidity (the idea that there is something physically wrong with a woman who could not achieve orgasm by penetrative sex). Some regard cunnilingus as unnatural because the practice does not result in reproduction... therefore, "kinky." I don't buy it.

Most men aren't efficient at eating pussy because it isn't a priority for them (they don't cum from it, and straight sex is typically ruled by male pleasure). They may also believe that cunnilingus is weird or wrong because many people learn sexual expectations and practices from porn. And porn doesn't feature very much of that; the extent could be a highly edited, unrealistically short and explosive clip of a woman losing her mind after a man simply licks or spits on her clitoris... what a world we live in.
