Kamiko ignored her own videos as they came up and instead focused on everyone around her. She, for one, didn't need to see the familiar pictures of her siblings and cousins being beaten; she knew they would have experienced the same kind of torture even if Monobear hadn't caused it. It was a type of discipline that Kamiko was all too familiar with. They could handle something like that.
Her expression saddened as she saw the looks and horrified expressions of those whose families weren't as disciplined as hers. She had never seen that kind of reaction before, mostly because she needed to get out more. That being said, she was trying to understand exactly what they were feeling to no avail.
As she heard a thump, followed by Takeo screaming, she deduced something might be wrong. She turned and went to check out exactly what was going on. What she found was Takeo holding that one girl-- Kamiko couldn't really place her name--, trying to look for a place to put her.
"I can help," she spoke softly, appearing next to Takeo. She tilted her head to him before taking Karin's other arms over her shoulder. "...I can carry her."
Thinner Than Water | Motive Start! | Despair Waltz
It was almost as if the bear had been sitting there, waiting, like a predator in the night. Or rather, the day. Or…what time was it, right now? Her cell phone was missing, which was cringe-worthy in and of itself (the janitorial service for her bakery should be calling around four, and the ingredient supplier was supposed to call so she could buzz them in through the back at six thirty, but…) and there didn’t appear to be any clocks in her field of vision.
This was a dream.
A horrible dream, right? Something almost like a nightmare, but…not quite. The calm before the storm. She could feel the tension in the air, but from what?
And, just as the words entered her frame of consciousness, she got her answer. And found herself desperately wishing she hadn’t.
Her father’s face, the photo cut off at his shoulders. Not high enough, though, that the strangulation marks on his neck bloody from friction weren’t visible.
Her mother, eyes closed. Nothing else was wrong with the photograph, though there was blood leaking from her eyelids.
Hideaki, her brother, always so infuriatingly easy-going even in the most stress-inducing situations. His mouth, before never easing from its jovial smile, frozen in horror as he stared down at the knife in his stomach.
She stared until people she didn’t recognize started showing up on the screen.
And then she suddenly became very close friends with the cold, tiled floor.

Oh so that was his name. For a second there, she was almost going to call him Kangaroo, which-- in her opinion-- was close enough in pronunciation. Anyway, Masaru seemed like a nice person, but the way he reflected his words made Kamiko wonder quite a bit about the type of person he really was.
She blinked, a bit curiously. She was a lucky one to retain a cute form as a ninja. It meant if she ever did get caught, the chances are, they wouldn't take her seriously and think she were a little kid who liked to pretend they were a ninja. Of course, that would be a shame considering she looked like she was a middle schooler.
"I'm not upset," she stated. His voice was really sweet; this didn't really effect him like the others, did it? She couldn't tell. "I'm not worried about that either." She paused for a bit before continuing. "I'm not an easy person to kill." And that was certainly not a lie.
Tumblr media
"My name is Kamiko Minami," she stated, carefully. She tilted her head a bit. "...what's a host club, Masa?" Masa. That's all that remained of his name. It was short and sweet, like nerds. The candy, that was. "I don't care what you call me."
Pretty Odd {Kamiko}
She doesn’t talk much, does she? Luckily for Masaru, this wasn’t a new scenario. From hosting experience, he knew that the shyest girls were most always the most rambunctious ones after a few sips of… well.. there’s none of that here, is there? Perhaps he would find a different way to open her up.
After all, a small, petite girl like herself may not be his ‘type’, but they most always made cute company. Like.. a little butterfly on his shoulder. Or a cute puppy. She was something like that, he thought.
"Aah, I didn’t mean to upset you~" He cooed, reading from her expression either that he was off target, or that she was more of the ‘cold type’, "I’m sure that nobody’s going to kill, yeah? And least of all, they probably won’t kill someone as adorable as yourself~"
Tumblr media
"Hmm.. I didn’t catch your name, did I? That’s my mistake! As for me, I am Masaru Sato, host club extra~ordinare, and it’s a pleasure~. You can just call me Masaru, if you’d like.."

She turned to Masaru and stared at him for a bit, trying to remember if she had met him beforehand. He was that one guy who that other guy was talking to. What were their names? Casaroo? This guy's name, was it that? Maybe NASA Clue? Now, that would be ridiculous, NASA was somewhere in America, last time she visited.
In any case, she didn't deny he was a pretty boy. Like, one of the dolls she would make back at home. There weren't any dolls in this place, from what she could see, so she quietly wondered if he would be a doll for her. She caught him staring at her hair to which she unconsciously tugged at.
Tumblr media
"Yes. The videos were a bit..." She didn't know what to call them without sounding like a broken record. "Edited? Maybe." She wasn't worried in the slightest for her family. Yes, those pictures may be frightening, but Kamiko was a ninja. If this effected her she might as well not be counted as a SHSL. "I don't know. People are capable of plenty." She paused. "I hope they don't."
Pretty Odd {Kamiko}
She seemed precious, petite, like a baby bird. Her voice made his movements soften and liquidate, and his voice grew smaller along with hers.Masaru isn’t the protective type, he never was, but this was the kind of girl that urged to be protected.
While he questioned her feudal-like clothing, Masaru wasn’t quite intelligent enough to piece together her talent. Ultimately, he was more focused on her hair. It was purple. Light purple. Lilac was the word, I think? Wow.. he’d never seen hair that purple before. It didn’t take too long for him to catch himself ogling at her hair, and he straightened himself out and made up for lost time.
Tumblr media
"Those videos were cre~epy! They were all pretty gruesome, don’t you think? I’m sure they were just edited or something.. they say you can do anything with a computer, right? …Hrmm.. I’m sure everything’ll be fine~ Yes, yes, just fine! You don’t think people would really kill because of that, right?”

She didn't know what to expect from the bear. The notice was so sudden, she really didn't bother to think it through as she walked mindlessly to the fountain area with her usual, unreadable expression. The last few days for the little ninja proved to be... Well, yet another day. Nothing phased her; nothing really affected her. She wasn't one to panic in hostage situations, why would this be any different?
As her eyes landed on the screen, she saw images of her family pop onto the screen. They looked happy. The first were of her brother and sister; the later wearing her school uniform and usually attire and her brother next to her with a goofy look on his face. But Kamiko just stared at the screen. Of course, the peace couldn't last as the images turned dark. Images of her brother being beaten. Images of her sister coughing up blood and laying motionless of the floor.
Next where Kamiko's cousins. Three of them, one boy and two girls waving at the screen. Of course, their images met a similar fate to the one with her brother and her sister. The boy had been torn at by darkened hands along with one of the girls- his twin-, the both trying to fend off the hands, but the girl being ultimately ripped away as the boy was beaten. As for the remaining girl, she had a close up at her body that had been chained to a wall as she bled.
Through all of it, Kamiko continued to keep her stoic face on. Her training involved her to be able to show absolutely no emotion when in a situation like this, so she remained calm as a string of thoughts shot through her mind. She almost didn't notice someone tapping her shoulder.
Tumblr media
"...." She didn't look phased in the slightest, but more thoughtful. "Yes. I'm fine. I don't know." She paused again before shaking her head and resuming her normal pose. "They seem to be a bit over the top."
Pretty Odd {I think it's time to meet}
Masaru never really had a strong connection to his family. At least, he never thought he did.
The few days had been anxious for him, sure, but he had felt safe. While, to his despair, he hadn’t gotten to meet everyone, he had gotten to see most of their faces. Besides the tight ass with the glasses, they all seemed fairly civil. No, none of them were the type that would kill for the sake of killing, and for that, he was relieved. Running away from the crowd days ago, that was his fear; Sato knew how deranged some students were, and had assumed a blood bath was occurring. And now, days later, this ugly damn bear had brought the same chilling fear back.
His mother was first on the list. Her disgusting, wrinkled face was shown on the screen; her smile one that wiped his off Masaru’s face. In the next slide, she was there again, but this time instead of all smiles, she was bruised, bloody, her left eye swelling so much that it couldn’t even open, her cheeks reddened from skid marks against concrete. Then, Sato’s good friend; his cocky face and flat face greeted the same fate, but this time, both eyes were swelled and gruesome, and his stupid nose had been visibly broken
Watching his mother and flatmate be decimated on the screen sent chills down his spine and a gasp through his throat, sure, and he may have felt his insides churn and buckle, but… to kill? Because of that? That’d just be ridiculous, right..? Besides, if they’re already hurt, I can’t do anything about that… he reasoned, his arms folding by his chest.
A quick glance at the others in the room made him realize that he was, indeed, the minority. Most of his peers’ faces were dead, cold, not appealing at all. Some of their lips quivered grossly, while others took to more disgraceful means, like making their eyes pop out of their sockets and their mouths gape like fish and their hands shake with a sort of fear that Sato didn’t get at all. He might not have gotten it, but complacency was always good in dangerous situations, so he painted a look of muted fear on his face.
To his right, a person was turned away from him, face not visible. Being the consoling friend… that gains trust, I think. Sato considered. Plus, being quiet is pretty boring… He inched a bit closer, on the balls of his feet, tapping the shoulder of the person.
Tumblr media
"Heeey… are you alright..? Those videos was pre~tty creepy… how’d a weird bear get a hold of that stuff, anyways?"

She looked at him a bit questioningly. Was her voice too soft? Did she need to speak louder? She tried speaking a bit louder.
"Um...yes. Weird. Like. It was filled with. ...Things?" She nervously played with her sleeves. "Okay. It's across the mall. Over there." She started to walk fairly quickly, but not quick enough for someone to jog. Maybe quick walking or long strides. It didn't take too long before they stood outside of the security room.
"In there."

She continued to follow him as he started to sprint from one shop it the next. She tilted her head questioningly to him as he looked through the window of the store. Kamiko looked as if she were about to say something, but held back on it. It wasn't that important anyway.
Tumblr media
"There was... a store I woke up in," she spoke up. "Next to it was a place. Um... It looked weird." She continued to scramble right after him, taking a few looks behind her at the area they had just explored. "..." And she continued after him.

She scanned the room before her eyes landed on the girl she hadn't met before. That one guy with the the teeth talked to that girl before right? Kamiko thought quietly to herself, trying to come up with her name. It was a shame she had been too preoccupied with a headache during that time because at the said moment, she couldn't remember the dark haired girl's name for her life.
"Hello," she greeted, softly. This girl seemed quite cheerful compared to the others she had observed back at the fountain before hand. At least she wasn't yelling like the others. Kamiko found it a bit strange though, how this girl didn't seem to be panicking like the other people she had talked to before.
"I'm okay," she said, taking off the hat she had placed on her head. "You are...?" Kamiko herself didn't seem paranoid in the slightest. Well, that is when it came to the 'mutual killing' aspect. She assumed people here were smarter than that, so she kept up her usual, expressionless looks.
So You Want To Be the next Hokage [Open]
Airi frowned as her eyes searched frantically around the mall. In such a wide space with so many nooks and crannies to be in, it was beginning to get to be a pain to track anyone down. She had gone nearly twenty whole minutes without seeing anyone and it was starting to get to her. A twitch was starting up on the right side of her face and her foot was tapping at a pace so rapid that it seemed almost to be having spasms.
Just when she felt as though she were about to go completely mad, however, she heard the sound of rummaging from one of the stores. Immediately she perked up and nearly sprinted to where the noise was coming from, stumbling over herself once or twice in the process.
There she was. A tiny girl with lavender hair, dressing herself up in all sorts of different clothing. For a while Airi simply hid behind a clothing rack, head peeped out ever so slightly as she tried to figure out just what she was doing. She took a step forward to get a better look but ended up stepping on a stray clothes hanger, causing the girl to spin around at the noise.
Well, perhaps it was a bit earlier than she had desired, but the masked girl had noticed her and that was enough of a cue as she needed.
"Greetings, oh lavender haired one!" she chimed, tossing the clothes rack aside to make her entrance. "Eheheh, I hope I haven’t startled you~"

"Not really," she spoke. "Just a bit startled. It's fine." If she were to be scared by yelling, she wouldn't be a very good ninja. She couldn't help but be slightly startled by loud noises though; she was someone who was used to the quiet.
Tumblr media
Even with almost her entire face covered, it was obvious that she was happy with the offer. This person was a nice person and she liked nice people. "I'll join." She watched him was he observed the store and trailed right after him as he marched along. She started to copy his stride, trying to catch up to him.

Kamiko continued to follow Shiro as he continued to head towards the stores. She would have said something to grab his attention, but she didn't know what to say; she was terrible at trying to get other people's attention anyway, so she quietly hoped that he would turn around and see her. And he did, but just in the way she didn't expect.
Tumblr media
She jumped immediately as his voice raised into a startled yell. On instinct she stumbled backwards, failing her sleeves a bit and tried to regain her balance before accidentally falling. Luckily, she didn't fall and bounced slightly on both of her feet before looking back up at Shiro. She didn't mean to startle him; maybe she should have said something. "Sorry..."
"I'm sorry," she repeated again, a bit stronger with her voice this time. "I didn't want to startle you." Shiro. Shiro. White? White. White is what snow was like, right? So, Shiro was snow... I wonder what snow looks like-- Wait, name. Name... "My name is Kamiko. It's nice to meet you too."

She was alerted as he kicked the bar. The sound and the sight had caught her attention as she walked into the general area Shirohiko was currently in. She was curious to see what he was doing. She hadn't seen this guy too much around, it was usually the scary blonde chick or that one guy who constantly complimented people. And to be honest, Kamiko didn't think she could handle either of those people at their current state.
As she stared up at the metal bars, she thought for a second before crouching down and launching herself up into the air, trying to find a way past the bars. It was a no go; there was no way to past them which made the ninja anxious.
She returned to the ground and watched as Shirohiko walked towards the shops. She started following after him, holding her sleeves together. She didn't really know what he was like, so she was hoping that he didn't mind if she tagged along. The little ninja didn't like being alone.
A Gentle Stroll (I hope there's a flower shop in this mall)
Shirohiko stood facing a series of metal bars that blocked access to a pair of escalators. It seemed they were currently trapped on this floor, giving them little room to breathe. Maybe an exit lay upstairs, or perhaps that’s where the organisers of this were hiding. He grabbed a bar and pulled, but the metal refused to budge at all. It was expected, but irritating.
He had gotten bored sitting at the fountain and decided he should continue exploring. After all, he had to be sure whether the bear was telling the truth. He swung his foot round and kicked one of the bars at the bottom, sending out a rippling, metallic pulse. All it did was make his foot sore. It looked like the next floor was closed for now at least.
He looked to his right to see a series of shops along a corridor. It was time to get a lay of the land. He decided that it was worth checking them out and began walking over in that direction.
