“Sounds good to me. The three of us can just go have our own fun for a while. The park should be closed at this hour, and there is plenty of snow just waiting around to be dug into.”
“Can’t wait. It’s getting too stuffy down here anyway.”

“Would there happen to be room for one more?”
mutantgangland:
“You know what I think this calls for. Badass arctic fox team-up time. They won’t stand a change against us.”
“Hell yes! Now we’re talking. We’ll be the mutant snowball fight champions of New York!”

[I don’t think I ever posted this here. Weird.
I made this like 3 years ago for my first 2012 Alopex blog (Before she showed up in canon), but since I kept her 2012 verse for this blog, the design applies here too.
Its pretty old and I really should redo the design sometime, but this in generally what my 2012 verse Alopex looks like.]
More Alopex. This time I tried to give her a slight redesign of what I think she might look like in the 2012 world. It’s not perfect, but I like it for now. Mostly drawn for my new Alopex blog.

lethargic-hunter:
“Valuables? Well, what would you expect considering where I live?”
Aiden approached her, but didn’t leave the safety of his own doorway, red eyes examining her carefully through the darkness. “..It’s alright, I’m not going to attack you,” he frowned, not exactly certain if those were the right words he should be saying–after all, this mutant could be more trouble than he was aware of, but she looked just as confused as he did..
One clawed hand gripped the wooden frame of the doorway, as the hunter remained still, as though he was trying to avoid spooking her–even if he was more uncertain of her.
“What were you hoping to find?” He had dealt with thieves before, but he’d grown so used to everyone fighting over basic supplies, that perhaps he was a bit too open about sharing his wealth with other people.. but it was a force of habit, brought on by years of apocalyptic survival, and little self-preservation.
“Anything to pawn off. I just wanted a place to wind down, but you take your opportunities where you can get them.” She explained, arms crossed.
Her eyes narrowed as she watched them. They seemed mostly human, but at least they weren't hostile. Of course, that didn’t mean she was planning on staying any longer than she needed to. There wasn’t anything for her here anyway now that she knew the building was occupied.
“I get the feeling you know what I’m taking about.” She looked around, emphasizing her point as she nodded to the old walls of the broken down apartment building.

🐢 ❝ yeah um, i can get more later if —- HEY !! ❞ he yelped, eyes wide as the snowy white fox took the food in his hands before bolting off. a frustrated growl left his beak as he ran after the other. he was hungry —– && now he was that AND unhappy.
he’s gonna get his dang food back.
Cackling as she ran down the alley, Alopex glanced behind her, not surprised to see him give chase.
Okay then. Lets see how badly he wants this food.
Maneuvering down the street, the fox kicked over trashcans as she passed. Sliding around corners to slip them up as much as possible.

lethargic-hunter:
Aiden jumped at the sound of the lamp breaking, his head snapping in the direction it came from. He wouldn’t waste a second to get out of bed, rushing to see what had happened, hoping not to run into any dumbass kids looking to vandalize the building again–he’d already shoo’d them off once.
“Who’s there?” The hunter called out, pausing suddenly at the sight of something large and.. fluffy. He could make out the form of some kind of tail, before the stranger made a run for it back out the door she came into. “Hey wait–!” Aiden called out, immediately giving chase. He could easily tell that they were far too large to be just an ordinary stray, so they must have been a mutant, which only seemed to worry him more.
“Come back here! It’s okay!”
Rushing out into the hallway, Alopex panted, realizing she more or less just through herself into a corner with not many places to hide. She could make a run for it the other way and head down the stairs, but the sight of a shadow already approaching the doorway made that option a little too risky.
She just had to hope they weren’t a fighter.
“Not much of a valuables holder, are you?” She commented with a huff. More frustrated over this whole situation than anything. She stayed on her guard. Ready to take her first opportunity out of here before he asked too many questions or called for backup.

🐢 ❝ —– its mine !! ❞ he found himself quickly responding, eyes wide a little bit. she looked devious a little && besides the food .. as he said. was his. he glanced off, pulling the food closer to him before deflating.
shell.
❝ but um .. i can share. ❞
“Oh can you?”
Jumping off the fire escape, the fox placed her arms behind her back, taking a few steps closer.
“Aren’t you a generous one.”
Waiting for an opportunity for him to loosen his hold on the food, Alopex made her move; grabbing what she could before taking off down the alley. Hoping to catch him off guard enough to get a decent head start.

lethargic-hunter:
“Huhh, I’m exhausted,” Aiden mumbled aloud to himself, shuffling lazily across the floor of his apartment, grabbing the handles of a basket of laundry; a gift that had been given to him by one of the older people he helped out in the mornings.
The hunter yawned and dragged himself back to his bed, sitting down with the entire basket in order to start folding the washed clothing and blankets that were in the basket. “Just my luck.. I forgot to fold them before I left, and now I’m almost too tired to do it now,” he groaned, far too tired to noticed the snooping fox that was creeping through the abandoned building.
Hearing a voice, Alopex held her breath. Her ears locked in their direction as she thought over her options. She could make a run for it. Try to find another building to spend the day in. Of course they haven’t detected her yet. She could easily get away with taking what she could and hiding off in another part of the building. She just had to remain cautious.
Keeping low, the fox moved silently, staying out of their sight. Making sure to remember her surroundings so not to trap herself if he ended up coming out of the room.
After going through a few drawers and cabinets, it seemed like her scavenging was turning out to be more than disappointing.
What a waste of time.
As her tail waved behind her in frustration, it brushed against a table lamp. Causing it to fall on its side with a loud clatter. Her fur bristled at the noise. Ears falling flat as she tried to find a place to hide.

“Got a lot of food there, don’t ya?”
Alopex commented, looking down at the turtle in the alley from her spot on the fire escape. Her tail swaying back and forth. Despite her friendly expression and tone, it was clear she had a more devious mindset. A glint in her eye as she watched them.

The fox was just looking for a place to stay. A place to hide out in until nightfall. Sneaking in through the window of the old apartment building, it felt like more than enough.
That was of course until she spotted a light on in one of the upper rooms.
Curiosity getting the better of her, Alopex went to explore. Her ears twitching, listening for any movements to make sure no one else was around. She was almost surprised to see how lived in the room was, taking the opportunity to silently snoop around. Seeing what she could find.

purpletechtyrtle:
“ Being allies doesn´t make us friends.”
He would roll his eyes or head - deciding against it. Not wanting to give off too much body language. She was underestimating this city, a lot. Especially the foot. She really doesn´t know what she was dealing with was she? Well, this shouldn´t be his concern. if she wanted to end up captured and being an experiment, fine.
… but he would end up caring anyway.
“ As said, I first would need to talk to my leader. I can´t make decisions like that on my one…”
Even though, Leo did that…back in the day.
“how about we meet tomorrow again? Same place, same time. Then I will also have a little something for you. So I can contact you if we need something or you find information who could be used for us in exchange for food of course.”
Alopex swiftly pulled her hand back. Giving a small shrug as she rested it on her hip. She wasn’t really the patient type, but if all this would pay off in the long run, she could wait. It would be good to have these turtles in her contacts. It was only a matter of time until she would see how useful they could be.
With her eyes shut, she bowed her head respectfully. “If you wish.”
Opening her eyes again, she glanced up at the sky. It was still raining, but it at least slowed down to a light mist. Enough to get through without her fur getting too wet.
Taking a few steps back, the fox nodded in his direction.
“I’ll be here. Don’t keep me waiting.“ She smiled before taking off down one of the building’s support beams and out of sight.

This was a tough question. But it would be better having her on their servers then let her continue to work with the foot…and while he wasn´t comfortable with dragging her into their deal with the foot…maybe she could help them get some other information. In the end, the “underground” of New York city was still present.
And Leo might agree if it is about the Underground of this city rather than the foot.
“ Count your servers only for spying to foot or can we count on you as an informant for the dark side of this city?”
“ There isn´t much we have to offer…but when you help us, you earn yourself allies of six, who will be there if ever need help with you..investigation. Or if you ever should get into trouble…
…I can get you food, for free. No need for hunting anymore not mention how much time you would save without worrying to find something to eat. I know how and where to get food easy. And you do not need to worry about the money…”
Expect the point that even them do not always pay for their food. And he still had Murakami-san to go just to get her something to eat. He knows how hard it can be for a mutant to find anything to eat - shell, they ate worm and algen for 15 years!
“ And the last thing I can offer you…is helping you find…or more making a shelter. Turning a place into a home for you. You just need to show me where - or we gonna search one for you and I will make sure you have running water, electricity and a heater. I can even try to get you a laptop and TV if you want.
How does that sound to you?”
“I can get information from anyone in the city. As long as I have a name and a place.” Alopex smirked. Showing a little too much cockiness in her skills.
The turtle’s offers honestly came as a surprise. He really was the trusting type, but she wasn’t looking for an ally. Just a job.
The food was a welcoming offer. She wasn’t sure about a home considering she moved around so much. She preferred to remain hidden. Not staying in one place for too long. Still, a warm place to call her own did sound nice.
Her tail moved silently behind her, thinking over the offer carefully. It wasn’t a bad trade off, but the thought of this turtle being more than just a client ruffled her fur.
“The food and shelter are enough. I’m perfectly fine at getting myself out of trouble. In all honesty, I’m not looking for a friend. If you need help or if I’m short on supplies, we’ll know where to find each other, but I prefer if it’s left at that.” Taking a step closer, the fox offered out her hand, sealing the deal.
