A Commissioner’s Guide to Screenshots for Artists; Guild Wars 2 (GW2) edition!

If anyone ever struggles with the Aetherblade Hideout strike mission on this mechanic, I tried to make a little animation explaining how you find the "safe spot" right after the sniper spawns instead of running around and very likely wiping on it lol.

just now spotted your blog, saw your icon and went "man that character totally looks like that one race in wildstar, i must double check" and yes it wass! man i miss that game and also that icon is fantastic

Thanks! I loved wildstar! The housing system was fantastic as well as the characters and aesthetics. I was a massive slob for the Granok and Mordesh. I cherish my Wildstar babs, and I'm probably pasting the spirit of them into GW2 a bit haha. (I think my Granok and Mordesh are heavy inspirations for my Charr and Sylvari on principle of personality)

back playing GW2 :3 I deleted most of that old wow drama that got me disgusted with the state of mmo-fandom tumblr. No need now to worry ofc. It’s years old and wow rp is fucking dead lmao :’)

As can tell by my icon and name, wildstar was one of the first reasons I made a gaming sideblog for side mmos I’ve played. Great game while it lasted and a shame for its depature, because the animations were very well made, the creative and gameplay ends were good, and it brought me an mmo experience I hadn’t had before. It was one of the games that inspired me to pursue my career in game development and entertainment arts.  I thank everyone who was a part of the Wildstar game and I wish them all well on their future projects.  As for the state of this blog, it was very inactive anyways since I have been focusing a lot on personal projects and school work. However, it may still run around with Guild Wars and ESO and other mmos on the side. Maybe Wildstar still! Or even the future of what mmos may come.

Yea. I have horde myself but more alliance. It took me a few moments to process my disappointment but honestly... after constantly mocking the alliance with burning trees and invading our cities, rp areas and spots with this, suddenly it’s all hands off now that the horde has now canonly wronged the alliance again and not Genn after all?

Not to mention reading more shit about calling alliance idiot religious bigot supremacists from people trying to justify why horde is better.

I can understand all reasons to play whatever and nothing in ooc should be personal, but how about everyone have the same standard. 

It’s not like Sylvanas took a 180 either. She always was like this, but now she has command of the horde. To think otherwise is willfully ignorant or extremely apologetic. And it while does suck she didn’t get development that was wanted, how about not harassing the writers. Perhaps she will, in fact get some in BfA and we should be civil and see where this goes.

Hey Alliance Players

Don’t be jerks.

Horde players play for aesthetics, storylines, roleplay, friends, and all sorts of reasons.

It isn’t their fault Blizzard has once again railroaded them into accepting orders from a villainous warmonger. It isn’t their fault Blizzard ignores their own story progression, characterization, and basic common logic to keep up suspension of disbelief to have Big Cinematic Moments to justify forcing the continuing faction war and IC hostility.

That hostility, despite what silly commercials tell you, should not extend out of game and character. Show some sympathy for people feeling upset their chosen faction is being screwed by story they cannot control yet again, and be annoyed by writing choices that do not deliver on the promises of “morally grey” and choices.

Two more jabbit alts and brief ideas. Lyro Shyspring: A storyteller of sorts, although he rarely speaks at all, using his esper abilities to speak for him instead. Originally a pacifist, he finds that he is forced to start going against his peaceful nature.

Axiom Alphamec: Very mean mechari that lives up to his intimidating appearance. Likes to keep others in check, especially his ‘younger brothers’ Exik and Rubik. Usually first to take action in most things and isn’t shy to take control of situations.
