"Looks like we'll be appearing in another TV show together." Liam crossed his arms in front of his chest, as he looked over at the other. Momentarily, his gaze moved over their appearance. When his gaze locked with theirs, a playful smile tugged at his lips. "Sounds like we're meant to be." He added in a teasing manner. Seeing their expression, he released a small laugh. "On a serious note, I think this will be interesting. It's been awhile since I've done television work."
Tumblr media
His expression relaxed, knowing he should take it easy on them. If he made it awkward in the beginning, it would be hell to smooth it out during their table readings. The male was shocked to hear he was offered an appearance on their show from the director, which was promptly accepted by Liam's agent. It had been a few years since they last worked with one another.

Her suggestion prevented the actor on making any more snide comments. Quiet, he lowered his head, his gaze moving along the floor. In his seat, he shifted and pushed his feet outwards to slouch back. Propping an elbow up on the arm rest, he rested his palm against his cheek. "Aren't you fun?" He soon spoke with a long sigh. "Yeah, alright. It's not what I'm used to -- doing everything so slowly like we're teasing them. Normally, it's thrown out there." He scoffed at the last comment. "Right, that's an ideal relationship right there." Liam rubbed his chin, amused. "Just don't break anything or make a mess wherever you end up in my house." Only time will tell how well this PR stunt will turn out, as well as this 'plan' of hers.
Tumblr media
Ari shook her head and suddenly wished she hadn’t mentioned her agent. She didn’t want Liam talking smack about anyone, even if she was upset at them. “I think we should spend very little time in public, make everyone believe that we want to keep our relationship private. We can just take a few instagram photos and spend our time together at opposite ends of your very large house so we don’t cross paths, right?” She suggested, knowing that probably wouldn’t actually work. It sounded good to her in theory at least.

"I'm no Sherlock, though your expression gives it away." Liam clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes slightly. Releasing a breathy laugh, the male shook his head again when she mentioned her agent. A large grin began to form on his face at the comment. "Better tell that agent to do their job. What if I was some creep, or some unknown project? They gotta tell you, you never know in this business." He had some nerve to say 'creep'. Sure, he wasn't like the other shady people in the industry but he wasn't any better. He could be secretive, hiding his true persona from the public and even from his industry friends -- hopefully that wasn't noticed yet. "Whatever. We need to find a way to get along in public. Let's pretend we're just playing a couple of characters in a cheesy movie. People will eat that up. They love cheesy shit like that."
Tumblr media
Ari sat there, making no attempt to end the silence until he spoke again. “I do have a problem with you. What was your first clue? And I know we have to, but I don’t have to like it.” The blonde took a few deep breaths and then let out a sigh. “I also have a problem with my agent not telling me who I’d be meeting up with until you were here. I wasn’t expecting you.” She admitted, knowing this really wasn’t his fault.

Liam chuckled. He found the statement to be amusing and bold of her to say. "Well, this will be fun. We have an event coming up soon, so we should create some buzz before it happens." He paused to think of what they could do. "Maybe be seen going for lunch and hanging out."
Tumblr media
"Sure we will."

Silence had ensued. He didn't have a comeback for that statement, he knew he shouldn't ignite the situation any further. Liam tilted his head slightly to one side and studied the other. "We're going have to work on this if we want the public to believe us." He sounded calm, yet his jaw tensed once he was quiet again, a sign he was growing impatient. Shaking his head, he looked away from her. "Do you have a problem with me? I'm always like this, so this is going to be interesting."
Tumblr media
"Usually I am."
Tumblr media
”Yes, well no one is as popular as the biggest ass in the business.” The blonde huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. She was angry, but most of her angry was misplaced on Liam because he was here in front of her. He’d been sprung on her and she couldn’t help her rage.

"Aren't you a sweet girl."
Tumblr media
Liam forced out a small chuckle, although he wasn't offended. It was no secret he wasn't well liked for his arrogant attitude. It protected him being seen as weak in front of the world. "They're not as popular as me, that's why your agent contacted mine. The industry is harsh like that."
"I just can’t believe how cocky you are.I know I don’t need to like you, but I can’t believe my agent couldn’t find someone who is at least a little bit likeable.”

"It's called a PR relationship for a reason," said Liam with a smug grin. "We don't have to actually like each other, but I don't blame you if you end up falling for me."

Lowering her gaze, she thought he would leave to tend to his own business. However, he remained in his spot in the doorway. Faith took a deep breath, picking up her pencil to finish a sketch. The question caused her to raise her focus, which is now fixated on the canvas. "Not everything has to have a meaning." She didn't mean to sound irritated, but with her work load from school, Faith was slightly exhausted. Putting her pencil down, she shook her head. "It's supposed to represent a closed off freedom. It starts off innocent like childhood, but the colours start to get dramatic and dark, like someone growing up and realizing how shitty everything can be. Which is why it spirals from the middle and outwards. There are small words in between the lines, and it isn't finished."
Tumblr media
Daniel shifted from one foot to the other as he stood in the doorway. He narrowed his eyes to see if that helped grasp the concept better, but that didn’t seem to work. “I’m sorry,” he replied as he relaxed his features and leaned against the doorpost. “Could you explain to me what it means?” He asked his step-daughter, unsure of what to do at this moment and afraid he might ruin any possible relationship with his wife’s daughter.

"Y'know, I didn't think this dating app would work. You seem cool," she said with a small shrug. "I mean, we texted for awhile and I have to admit, when we agreed to meet I didn't expect you to be so... relaxed in real life." A playful smile tugged at her lips, as she attempted to think of a better adjective to describe them. Unable to, she decided to move on to say, "In our messages, you were always so dorky." Jokingly, Faith laughed. Shifting weight from one foot to the other, she crossed her arms in front of her chest. They agreed to meet in front of a cafe in town where she had been standing for the past fifteen minutes. She looked at the other person before she smiled in a friendly manner.
Tumblr media
"I'm not looking for something serious by the way. I was curious and decided to check it out. So let's just hang out and have some good food." Faith hoped that was alright to admit, but she didn't want to mess anything up by leading the other on. She didn't want that, they seemed fun to talk to.

At last, Faith had a day off from school and work. It was rare and she certainly wanted to enjoy it. Yet, she didn't feel the need to hide in her small apartment, nor did she feel like absorbing her entire focus on art alone. Following her instinct, she wounded up outdoors, exploring the busy streets of New York. With her tote bag by her side, Faith followed a group of people away from her apartment and along the sidewalk. She wouldn't have followed them, but the young artist had no idea where to head to. By following them to another street, she would be able to decide for herself and provide enough time to think of a safe strategy.
Soon, she departed from the sea of strangers to head down another road by an intersection. The road lead her to a quiet area; one that wasn't too active, but there were still people entering and exiting stores. It had been months since she explored like this. If she were in a bad mood, she would be one of those strangers muttering nonsense about being bumped into accidentally. Fortunate for her, she was content. After walking for a short amount of time, she found an area that was to her liking: affordable prices that include food and products of clothing and so on.
Inside, Faith walked around in a slow manner. She liked seeing the various products, and fell in love with the warm welcome from the employees and customers, who were open to being friendly. Picking up a recyclable bag to fill of purchased items, the young woman managed to find items she could use for her art projects and jewelery for her mother.
Spending money on some items, Faith wandered about in a happy mood, a small smile remained on her face. For once, she wasn't feeling stressed over school or work. Hopefully it lasts. She wasn't planning on buying anything else, she simply wanted to enjoy her free time with more exploration. A reason for her ending up in another area by carpets and souvenirs. Fascinated by the souvenirs, she was looking up at the top shelf admiring snow globes of New York. Faith was about to turn to leave when she felt a tap on her shoulder.
She turned her head and noticed the stranger. Raising a brow, she listened to the question, soon turning to face the other.
Tumblr media
"Well, I'm not great at directions," she began with a small frown, "but I know it's... Uh, you have to walk a bit from here and past a toy store. You can't miss it. They have this huge creepy Lego man, and it stands out." Faith paused, her lips pursed as she attempted to think. After a moment of pondering, she looked lost, and flustered at that fact. "I suck at explaining. If you want, we can ask someone for a piece of paper and I can sketch it out for you. That's how my mind works... Sorry."
Destan liked walking. Without the obvious benefits in mind, there was something stuffy about being inside all day long. Her own job never required her to be outside, let alone among other people, and she had to find excuses to more or less leave her home. New York, perhaps, wasn’t the easiest place to get fresh air. However, on Saturdays, one thing she loved doing was travelling outside of the grid city and toward medium-sized townships. There, Destan discovered things she didn’t usually find in the inner parts of New York.
The environment of this particular flea market and farmer’s market had a unique appeal to it. It was home-y and calm, which was always refreshing. At other markets, the pace seemed too quick. And, yeah, Destan didn’t do too well with fast paced. However, she wasn’t in a hurry, nor did she feel hurried by other visitors. Destan surrounded herself with recycable bags of fresh fruits, cheap clothes, sunglasses, and other nic-nacs she figured would look nice in her tiny apartment. Her afternoon was a success, nonetheless.
It was past lunch time when she found herself hungry and lost amongst the sea of the carpets and souvenirs. Destan looked around, completely confused and unsure of which direction to head. Jeez, where the heck was she? Turning ninety-degrees to the left, she awkwardly touched the person next to her on their forearm. “I am sorry to bother you,” She said as she dropped her arms and clenched the canvas straps tightly. “I don’t mean to interrupt, but could you tell me where the food court is from here? If you know, at all?”
Tumblr media
Something like this, interrupting people’s days to ask a question, was a very common thing for Destan. This had to be the third person she requested directions from today alone.

"Everything is art, regardless of it being 'modern' or not." She paused, glancing at the corner of the canvas. Underneath a layer of purple crisscross paint, a large blob could be seen that was meant to look like a dog. "Kids have more creative freedom, even if I don't understand it." The comment was added in a murmur, still audible for the other to hear; however, it was more of a comment to herself. Her brows furrowed as she glanced away.
During the silence, she thought of what to say, pondering if she should be nicer. After all, she was supposed to be volunteering.
Tumblr media
"How so?" Turning towards the other, she raised a brow. Curious, she stole a glance at the painting once again. Ignoring his question, she waited to hear his response. Honestly, she didn't, but she wanted to be careful. If he was another pompous person who threw facts around, then Faith had to treat it carefully. He didn't look like the type, nor did he sound like one, but looks can be deceiving. You're volunteering, don't argue.
“Right.” And no matter the serious and composed expression he wants to show, the girl’s remark about a five years old painted canvas being art, just leaves him in a huge awe. “..Yeah. ..This is modern art for you.”
Tumblr media
Somehow his stare towards the painting intensifies, an awkwardly silence filling the room. Clearing his throat, he breaks the long pause, stating his opinion. “Actually, this reminds me of Chimanbawe. Do you have any idea who that is ?”

There was something different about her -- the expression couldn't really be deciphered. Was it appreciation for the painting? For once, Faith remained quiet, not daring to utter another sarcastic comment. Looking back at the canvas, she gave a small nod. "I know. Everything in here is, if you have a chance to look." She said to her now turning her head to look around the room. The room had paintings and sketches of portraits all over the wall, all different from one another and containing unique styles. "Do you paint or draw?" She asked the other with a small smile.

Emma had been wandering around the hall when she came face to face with the art however due to only recently getting her eye sight back at times it was hard for her to recognise everyday objects. “It is beautiful.” She had whispered the words, not knowing what else to say, it was the only words that seemed fitting.
