so those of you who are familiar with me and my basara fandom contributions may have often heard me say that Yukimura’s first words to Shingen were Yukimura-speech for “fuck you, I’m not my dad”. Well, it’s true. Here’s the audio from the drama CD, clipped to the first conversation that Shingen and Yukimura have—right up to the first punch. 

if you want context, I’ll just summarize by saying that the reason why we never see any other Sanada clan members in BASARA is because they’re all dead. And that is when Shingen meets Yukimura for the first time—right after the battle where the rest of Yukimura’s family is killdeaded for realz.
