The way Kakashi and his kiddos were bullied on different levels for different things when they were kids is so heartbreaking 💔 All of it because of the things they couldn't control.

Naruto as we know it had it worse since everyone was so cruel to him for YEARS. Nobody told him about his parents and he often was psychically and emotionally abused and hurt. He couldn't understand why the world hated him then because he was literally a child and he had no one to protect him, he had to endure it all of it.

Even Kakashi's father Sakumo, while a grown seasoned shinobi, had committed suicide after being disgraced by the village, while Naruto survived all of that as kid and that's why mentally he is so strong and could survive any kind pain thrown his way.

Kakashi was being called friend-killer while his friend committed suicide in front of him using his power that was supposed to protect them. Like he lost two friends who were actually there for him when he was alone and hurting, trying to cope after his father's death. They gave their lives while protecting him and the village. Imagine the pain Kakashi felt everytime they called him that while he was already drowning in guilt for not being able to save his teammates, reminding him is the reason Obito and Rin weren't alive anymore...

Little Kakashi was also mocked for putting the missions first, the exact thing that his father had to do so he wouldn't be disgraced enough to end his own life, leaving little kakashi all alone..

Sakura for her physical feature which was affecting how she viewed herself and her self-esteem. While this isn't anywhere near Naruto and Kakashi's trauma, getting bullied, especially during such a young age can have a detrimental impact on the person and their future. Thankfully her friendship with Ino helped her to get back up.

All of them hurt for the things they couldn't control...

And that's one of the reasons their bond means so much to me because they didn't let their past define their future, they could turn out to be like the enemies they faced on missions but they pushed through that pain and became the strongest team in Konoha and great characters in general. Kakashi also let himself slowly heal with them. He shared their pain when they lost Sasuke but he didn't let himself fall to depression again for Sakura and Naruto's sake, instead remained tough with them as they faced so many things together. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH 😭😭

It never fails to sadden me when I think of a young Kakashi, not even old enough to drive by our standards, being forced by his own circumstances and upbringing into the position of a ruthless assassin. A position where he was constantly mocked and ridiculed for the exact opposite of the things his own father was mocked and ridiculed for, a constant reminder of his father’s suicide. Never able to truly be with his father or teammates but their ghosts always following.

I think about how Kakashi relived his trauma when he was sent on a supposed to be an S rank mission which then turned into a D rank with his genins for the first time. Not only he was worried sick about naruto, sasuke and sakura but also there were all kinds of triggers for him to have a panic attack especially since the kids were basically in death trap with haku while he was busy fighting someone almost as strong as himself without being able to help sasuke and naruto.

Here from his eyes you can see how much all that was effecting him but he decided to push through the inner pain
