I am tired of pretending that I am fine, I am tired of wearing the mask, and I am tired of being the bigger guy, to always be the one who takes it because I can.

I'm tired of catering to others' feelings when I am the one hurt. I am tired of playing diplomat when everyone else chooses offense. I am tired of pretending like I am the one who's wrong, all to save ships I am hardly on.

Sail south, sail north, and I am always the one left behind. Running out of rations, the load is too heavy. Just drop me in the locker, no doubt.

I am tired of this game, I never seem to win. It's rigged from the start!

Decision, decision. Waiting for pay day to get a half decent haircut or taking a machine to my head on my own for the first time and hope I do not fuck it up? On the one hand, I would want to retain some dignity after I lose my maine. On the other hand, my pay hardly covers my expenses. A barber would actually put a dent on my budget, but perhaps I can offset it with a few days of slimmer meals.

For the records: I am not fond of haircuts, I just want to blow some steam.

The thing is, even if you were lucky and your parents taught you how to clean, they probably didn't teach you how to clean the stuff you clean stuff with, like brushes, mops, sponges, rags, and so on. Or how to clean your cleaning appliances, like a dish washer, clothes washing machine, and clothes dryer and its ducts (if you have a ducted dryer), or a carpet cleaner, vacuum, Or how to clean up clean messes, like spilled bleach or detergent.

My parents threw away all of these things (even the vacuum cleaners and the dryer) when they got too dirty to function, because no one even told them THAT they could be cleaned. Cost them thousands of dollars over the years.

All I'm saying is that cleaning is not intuitive, and not knowing how to clean is not a moral failing, but it is something you can learn.

The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 kg of meat = $100

1 chicken = $70

1 kg of fish = $100

1 bag of flour = $200

1 kg of cooking gas = $150

1 kg of sugar = $15

1 kg of eggplant = $20

1 kg of tomatoes = $10

1 kg of onions = $25

Also I am a mother of three children. We have lived through the war for a year and a half, and we have lost everything we own. My husband is a man who did not work. Before the war, I did not have a breadwinner or any source of income. During the war I didn't give up to teach so I volunteered and had good chance to help some students to get engaged again with English in a very creative way.

We are in tents for almost two years‼️🥺

After our several evacuation from place to another.Now we don't have a house after it was destroyed by missiles. I now ask you to help me rebuild my house. And buy basics for the daily essentials for my children and I need money so that we can stand up again and start again.

This war wasn't easy at all it has taken many friends at work, students and some of my colleagues at the university. They are almost ten souls I won't never forget . Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad
