1 - Hunting the Wild
"Men are trash!”Park Hei-Ran muttered while she took 3 consecutive shots of whisky she was 27 and never had a boyfriend, Korean men in Gangseo preferred younger more elegant women she was what they called dowdy or vanilla ice cream as her much prettier sisters said
She stared at the reflective marble counter of the most opulent bar she managed to slip in out of sheer frustration that her blind date stood her up she never should have agreed with her mother
“You should find a husband at that age Hei-Ran” She remembered the words her mother always said when she was scolding her
“Find a Husband my ass, there aren't even good men here in Gangseo,” She said to herself taking another shot
Park Hei-Ran has a PhD Degree in Abnormal Psychology and was working as an Attending at the local mental health institution she can understand how the worst and most complicated psychopaths process their thoughts but she can't even know how ‘allegedly’ normal men’s brains function
“I need to pee,” she thought and stood up walking and stumbling like a drunk person toward the restrooms
“Why am I not as pretty as my older and younger sister?” She asked desperately as a middle child when she saw her whole reflection in the large mirror filling the restroom walls. Damn, even the restrooms look prettier and more elegant than hers. The white button-down shirt, high-waisted grey slacks, and heeled loafers she wore contrasted with the sultry and elegant looks the women inside the club had.
“Why the hell am I crying in the club?”She asked herself staring at the woman with plain black hair brown eyes and pale skin.
Hei-Ran didn’t see the beautiful raven-haired beauty she was for the mere fact that she could see the worth of the vilest of psychopaths yet she couldn't see hers.
After crying for a good 10 minutes she fixed her complexion and decided she had enough shots for the night when she saw a familiar face in the crowds and there he was the man who stood her up
“What an ass??” she thought, Hei-Ran saw his picture once since her mother set her up with him as good-looking as he was the man was a fucking asshole her blood curdled and her mind screamed bloody murder due to the alcohol intoxication she went up there and let him have a piece of her mind she marched at the VVIP area of the nightclub and for some reason, the bouncers didn't stop her
“YOU ASSHOLE WHY DID YOU STOOD ME UP?” Hei-Ran screamed
“Woah, who is she Oppa?”the pretty girl beside him asked
“Damn, Man-Shik she even stalked you here”one of his friends added
“Look Hai-kan or something I only accepted the blind date since my father was the one who asked me and I thought it was one of your prettier sisters then I realized they gave me the ugly one” The man-child looked at her lazily seemingly disinterested with her emphasizing the word ‘ugly’
Due to the rage, she suppressed all the years coming out of her, Hei-Ran finally snapped and grabbed the nearest bottle of an expensive-looking champagne bottle and smashed it on Man-Child’s head until the bouncers held her back it took a few seconds before one of Man-Shik’s friends stood up and about to punch her when a tall man from a much higher level jumped down 9 feet below where the commotion was
“H-hey S-seong Un! I was just about to deal with this f-female stalker who smashed a champagne bottle on M-man-Shik’s head"Man-Shik's friend even stuttered at the sight of him
The man named Seong-Un was standing 6’5, his neck and upper body full of tattoos, and was wearing an expensive-looking Armani suit hugging his jacked-up physique he stared at the Man-Shik’s bloody forehead and the bouncers holding Hei-Ran up sure Man-Shik was handsome but for some reason, this Seong-Un was much more attractive he had a dangerous and amused look in his eyes that seems familiar to Hei-Ran
‘He is one of them’ Hei-Ran thought about the maximum security patients at her workplace they had the same look but none of them looked more dangerous than this man in front of them she couldn't blame the women on Man-Shik’s table eyeing him like a cat in heat
“You send him to the Hospital” Seong-Un ordered Man-Child’s friends and faced her “Unhand her and send her to my office” Seong-Un turned his back and walked calmly to his office while they followed him to his office the bouncers stopped at the door he closed and motioned her to enter.
Hei-Ran complied
