Being stealthy was something he was still working on. Especially when it was late at night. Sure, sneaking out was oddly easy for him but sneaking back in? That was going to be an issue for him. His mom could- no, would be home. And if she was still awake?

There was going to be a lot of explaining to do.

He slid the door close as softly as possible. Carefully, he tip toed deeper into the darkness of his own home, doing his best to not allow the dirt that had clung to his jacket to fall upon the carpet. A flicker of light. A figure by the doorway. A sheepish grin formed upon his face.

“H-hey, Mom. I, er, didn’t think you’ll be awake still,” a small pause, brain worked on trying to work out how to get out of this one, “I... I heard an odd noise outside so I... went to investigate it. Nothing serious happened. You can go back to bed now.”

Max blinks, “I am familiar with Kaiju, though I never saw one in real life before, just familiar about what they are within myths.” He replied while raising a brow. “Since I don’t keep secrets, I’ll just say that I am a Technofighter of the Technological Class.”

“A Technofighter is a fighter who uses their Techno hearts to spawn weapons and fight. As the Technological Class, I create gadgets that can be helpful in combat, secret missions or just free time.”

He rubs his head, “Not from this type of Earth since the one I’m from is not in war with them..or even know they existed as real beings.” He held his textbook in one hand before looking at his free wrist, a hologram of the clock appeared, “Two minutes. We should head to class. We can talk more about why and how I got here after.”

“Well, it’s your lucky day. You’ll be seeing a lot of Kaiju around here,” though they were mostly mistaken for other animals even if they look nothing like it. “I’m also half Kaiju. You’ll probably get told that a lot by the students,” it had become a thing now; tell people about the kid who was half Kaiju so everybody could just move on.

Before he could ask, the other had already started to explain. Though he didn’t understand what a Techno heart was, he had a basic idea which was good enough for him. Besides, he could always ask what one was since he seemed friendly. Though he was unsure if they’d have time. It was a school day after all.

“Not from...this type of Earth?” That didn’t make any sense to him. He opened his mouth, wanting to ask more questions, but instantly closed it when he mentioned the time. “Right,” he’ll have to explain to his friends what he was going to do after class. And to Blitz as well. “I shouldn’t keep you standing around if there’s only two minutes left, then,” he began to walk. If the two were in different classes, it shouldn’t be hard for him to find Duncan after. His appearance made him easy to spot.

“Lonely?” He said, as he quickly want to ditch that word out of his vocabulary.”Everyone’s just hype of meeting a Kool Kaiju like myself!” he said proudly. “Also…..” He grabbed Duncan and took a picture with his phone. “First friend ever!!!”

*CLICK* *FLASH* “Gotta post these for sure!!!”

Rallogne then puts his face near Duncan and sniffs. “Hm….could it be? Yes….you’re Belloc’s son aren’t you?” He says with a smile. “And I must say. For a half kaiju who only started using his powers….your were amazing on the battlefield.” ;) He was impressed that a guy like him manage to pull through against 2 powerful kaiju like that.

A sigh escaped his lips. “They aren’t. You and the big guy here scared them. Sure, you might not have meant to scare them but they didn’t know that,” did this guy think the war was something easy for humans to ignore?

He didn’t expect to suddenly be grabbed. Nor did he expect a picture to be taken of him. “Friend? We’ve only just met.” It took more than just standing there to become friends with each other. Duncan knew this.

Duncan froze slightly when Rallogne began to sniff him. His heart began to race slightly. He had gotten used to that only happening with two different Kaiju; his father and enemies. Enemies normally identify him before attacking. One hand turned into a fist, ready for action in case he needed to fight.

But he didn’t.

“Oh, urm, thanks I guess.” That felt weird. Kaiju normally didn’t congratulate him for doing something like that. They normally were disgusted with it since he was half human yet capable of defeating them. Then again, what did they except? He was Belloc’s son. Belloc didn’t become King by begging to become it. He was the strongest - even at his age - and refused to back down.

“So, you’re a nice Kaiju? Just here to drop your son off at school?” Honestly, this seemed like some weird dream to Duncan.

Max glances back to see the other and blinks in surprise. He was about to ask the repeated assumption until he was asked something that did not seem familiar to him. “The…what?” He raised a brow, “I don’t know what or who that is, but I can assure you I’m not a part of that organization. Guess you saw what I did then?” He sighs around bit before smiling a little, “I’m a techy type of person. Not familiar to most people in the entire world.”

That explained it. “For someone who has to deal with things that are...strange, I’m not familiar with people like you either.” Perhaps his father would be. Belloc had been around for thousands of years. Surely he must have heard something about this.

“Well, if what you are is supposed to be a secret, just say you’re with MEGTAF,” he paused, “it’s odd how you don’t know about them. They’re a group made by the government after the war which the King of Kaiju started,” if he didn’t know what MEGTAF was, he didn’t need to know just who the King of Kaiju was. "Are you not from around here?" Was that the reason why they weren’t familiar to most people? Because they were always somewhere secret?

Duncan was actually thankful of going to school on that day. Belloc had annoyed him for the past couple of days but, now that he was at school, he didn’t have to deal with him...unless Belloc decided to drop by.

He snapped out of his thoughts of what would happen if Belloc did go to his school when something caught his eye. At first, he wasn’t paying attention. People tend to stare at him as he walks by so he got use to ignoring things. But this was the tiny Kaiju all over again. Eyes changed from normal brown to a green cat eye as his attention fully focused on the odd thing the room. A glow? A shield? Odd. In a blink, his eyes changed back. Maybe this stranger was a MEGTAF agent. Then again, wouldn’t Blitz say something if he was? Or was he too busy teaching students how to dodge a ball?

Only one way to find out.

Duncan decided to try and catch up to him. Once he did, he spoke just loud enough for the two to hear. “I saw what you did back there...are you with MEGTAF?”

Max Mencarti walks along the halls of the school, glancing around til finding his locker. He opens his locker with ease and places his items inside. Closing it, he takes a step back, glances around to make sure no one paid attention then reaches his hand out, his right eye turning green, and a shield appeared around his locker, glowing vibrantly before the color disappeared. He walks up to it and knocks on his locker, however his hand did not touch the locker, it touched the shield. He smiles warmly before slowly walking away from his locker, taking with him his science book.

“Oh.  Is your father not very nice?”  Didn’t he already say something like that?  She wasn’t sure.  "That’s okay, I get it.  My mom can be a little on the mean side as well.“

Livian looked at the strange creature again.  "I mean, it is cool but if rather not get bit.”  It would probably hurt her worse than it hurt him.

"Not really. He’s never really been nice...I’m not sure what she saw in him,” how his mother fell for Belloc was confusing to him. Especially when you knew how they met.

A little on the mean side? Duncan chuckled slightly. “If you compare the two, your mom would be seen as nothing but nice.” It was true. Unless she made her daughter battle others until she became too tired to even stand, Belloc was much worse.

“I’d rather you didn’t get bit either. I don’t want any Kaiju to cause issues for people. The less issues between the two, the less likely it is for another war,” if another war was even allowed to happen. He was there, after all. His birth was basically a peace treaty between the two.

Running and screaming. That was all everybody what everybody at school was doing. With a sigh, he began to move closer to the source of panic. It was most likely a Kaiju. It was always a Kaiju.

Probably sent by dad as a test. Annoyance was wrote across his face at that thought. Why couldn’t he just let his son live a normal human life? He was doing fine without him!

He eventually came to a halt, not so far from what he saw. A Kaiju - saber-tooth tiger - and what appeared to be a human version. Odd. Wasn’t he the only one? The ones who knew his father personally seemed disgusted with the fact that Belloc and a human had a child so didn’t they all think this way? Or did Belloc open the eyes to some who didn’t really hate humans?

“Since you just scared everybody at school, I think you’ll find school life as lonely,” he crossed his arms. It was true; once a human was scared of you, it was hard to get them to make friends with you. Luckily, he had made two who were loyal before people truly got scared of him by discovering the truth.

If you were 100% kaiju like Belloc, how would get a normal life in human society as possible?

“I wouldn’t. If I was like that, I wouldn’t be allowed to go near a single human even if I was their size. I’d either be locked up by the government or I’d be with the rest of my kind,” if he wasn’t part human, his father might have also decided to stay in his life instead of being a deadbeat. Then again, he might not have. The King of Kaiju might just hate children or those who were younger.

Me keeping Belloc, the King of the Kaiju as a pet: Good or bad idea? And the up & downsides of having him as a pet.

“I’d say bad. Dad doesn’t really like people so, unless you want him to either burn or eat you,” or crush. Really, there was too many ways Belloc dealt with people, “I’d say don’t do it.”

“Though, if you did manage to find a way to have a good relationship with him, there are many advantages. He could remove threats, take you to places, tell you stories of the past,” normally they are interesting stories, “keep you warm, scare people to give you stuff. Of course, there’s many problems with it. Ever dealt with a Kaiju when they are ill? Not good. Human and pet medicines won’t be strong enough to cure him. There’s also lots of damage you’d have to pay for, the fact that others would want to kill you, him being too big and needing a big enough space to stay, him stealing endlessly, needing to eat a lot of meat, and him possibly being a jerk who decides letting you sleep on the edge of a cliff is a good idea.”

“Oh, and he’ll probably leave you for long periods of time. Like, 16 years.” Yes, Duncan was still angry about that.

What's your favorite part about Halloween?

“The fact that I feel less of a freak. People dress up as a monster so I can just blend in.”

“Also, the fact that we get candy for free is pretty good. And now that I have friends, I have people to hang out with, I’m sure Halloween will be even better,” why eat alone when you can eat with friends? And also prank with friends?

What's your favorite sport to play & would you consider being an expert at it?

“Has to be something like baseball. Because of my abilities, I’m rather good at it...when my abilities don’t affect the game too badly,” he still remembered how how bad things could get because of them. He once tried to do a simple task of preforming CPR on a dummy at school but caused it to break all because he was too strong.

I wonder how it would all happen if in another universe, your dad was a human & your mom was a kaiju. How it would turn out would be really interesting.

“Actually, that would be interesting. My mum is kinder than my dad so maybe she’ll be a much nicer kaiju. She might actually be the one who brought peace between the two races. My dad would probably be a busy man but with an actual job...I wonder if I’ll still live with mum,”  if that was the case, he’d be more like a kaiju than a human.
