Kageito looked a little shocked of Mura's response. Mindscapes...? He thought for a bit trying to make sense of it. He never heard of it before but it defiantly got him thinking.

"Would that mean... I have a mind? Like I'm alive..?"

He never really noticed the evening sky because he always gives the player his full attention. He glances pass Mura's head and saw the stars in the sky. He became mesmerized by it, like he's never seen them before... But he has, it's just been a while.

Of course the sky was dark, Kageito finds himself comforted in the darkness of night. His screen showed stars twinkling by his head as he awed at the night sky.

He snaps back to Mura when he heard the word 'explore' come from their lips.

"Ex-explore..?"

He replied, a little hesitantly.

"I'm not sure, I..."

He stops and looks directly at Mura's eyes, feeling a sense of comfort in him as well. He could trust the other to keep him with them. They promised after all.

"...Together.. right? I'm sorry I'm a little scared. Being so close to someone and trusting someone else feels a bit... foreign. I want to try to be trusting."

He apologizes again; afraid of something new. It shouldn't be hard to let someone else in, he's done it plenty of times before...

Mura kept holding Kageito, now sitting on the ground cross legged as they let him process his emotions.  The silence of the dark void is calming to say the least, even if the mood right now is still somber from before.  They didn't seem to mind though, they checked the meters to make sure they were mostly full.

Their kindness is so... familiar... they can somewhat understand him muttering the names that sounded similar to his own, all ending with -to.

"Perhaps it's Kaito...?" Mura thinks to themself. "He seems to be mentioning him, but I could be wrong..."

They kept quiet though, pondering if they should press the pet button or not. Mura wanted to show affection for him, but at the same time he was going through a lot... it was probably best to stay by his side until he says otherwise...

All the time I need? Kageito thought. He did honestly felt like it's been this way forever... the silence and maybe some ambient noises of the area.

The name escapes him but Kageito didn't seem to mind. He closes his eyes before talking to Mura.

His screen glitches so his eyes popped back open - like someone trying to nap but jerks back awake. He truly cannot go to sleep or close his eyes long enough.

"Mura... what do you do for fun..?"

He asked shyly, trying to occupy himself and to get to know them more.

Mura's patience with Kageito was unfathomable. He haven't felt so much kindness from a stranger; it reminded him of someone who used to be close to Kageito. The game trembling stopped after the embrace as he try to take in the other's caring words.

"...Another game..? I'm not sure if i can muster up the energy..."

He replied, his screen looking a little more fuzzy than normal. He looks down, trying to remember someone else who was so tolerant of Kageito.

"Why can't I... remember..?"

He was muttering names that ended in '-to' like his names but it sounded like gibberish.

"...come here..."

Mura brings Kageito close enough for a hug, wrapping their hands around his small device form and resting him on their shoulder. They allowed him to cry more if he needed to, as they felt him tremble in his hands.

"It's okay..." Mura whispered, letting him hug them for however long he needed it to be. "I'll be here for you..."

After a while of hugging, the two part from each other. Mura is holding Kageito in their hands, being as careful as they could be. They wanted to take care of him, and if they got hurt... they would let him know, but try to be easy on him. Mura needed to remind themself that Kageito is his own being, but he is more than just a game.

"I understand that this is a lot to take in... but let's not dwell too much in this sorrow. Thank you for trusting me." Mura smiled once more, it was rare to see such a kind expression...

"For the time being... would you like to play another mini game? What would you like to do?" Mura asks, wanting to cheer up their friend. They patiently wait for his response.

After those words, Kageito couldn't help but to cry. Him crying causes the game to rumble in Mura's hands.

He wipes his face profusely to stop the tears but it wouldn't stop. Someone being this nice, honestly shouldn't exist so Kageito doesn't doesn't know if Mura would fully commit to taking care of him. He honestly wanna believe the other.

"...a promise?"

Kageito managed to say through his sobs, trying his best to talk.

"You shouldn't, I might hurt you- Let me know if I do..!"

A hug? No one outside this game has offered a physical hug before. He defiantly needs that hug despite it not being in person. He stops crying, tears still streaming from his eyes. He opens his arms then his scarf hands stretches from from the back of the game, long enough to hug the other back.

"I wanna take you on that offer... If you do break your promise I wouldn't blame you..."

"Yes I am a little bored... so pressing the sing/play button would help. Also.."

He points to himself, under his eyes.

He muttered the last sentence to himself to not worry Mura too much.

The game chimes after completing the minigame. After Mura pressed the button, Kageito felt a little bashful.

He tucks his face a bit in his scarf as his scarf hands wraps around him for comfort. Maybe Mura wanted a real friend? He looks away,

"Sorry..."

What is he sorry for? He haven't done nothing wrong yet.

"You're feeling bad for me aren't you? I am just a game, right? You might get bored of me..."

His voice sounded a little shaky and more 8 bit than normal. The way Kageito said it like it has happened before. He remained silent not looking at the other, just a bit afraid of letting someone in, especially someone as kind as Mura.
