The problem with being a Creative Person is I want to create all the things. I want to draw a little drawing. I want to write a fic. I want to write a book. I want to paint with watercolors. I want to paint with oil paints. I want to animate. I want to make something out of clay. I want to sew a dress. I want to play a song on the ukulele. I want to play a song on the cello. I want to play a song on the harp. I want to write a song. I want to write a musical. I want to make a webcomic. I want to make a video game.
I want to do EVERYTHING but I don’t have the TIME or MONEY or MOTIVATION

to be a fan of both dracula and sherlock holmes is to have the widest experience possible on the question of “what would the author think of x” because bram stoker would be getting in months long twitter battles defending lucy while arthur conan doyle would come after anyone who asked him any question with a baseball bat

The norwegian votive ship “Susan” from 1725
This beautiful votive ship was made after the death of its master Halvor Aasuldsen in 1725 at the request of his wife Susanna Ellingsdatter Eidbo and was donated to the church in his honour. It is rather unusual for a wife to have such a vessel made, as normally votive vessels were made by sailors to thank God for a safe voyage, a rescue or to pray for what had been said before.
It may very well be that she had the ship made in mourning and remembrance, suggesting that her husband died at sea and never came home and could not be buried and she wanted to memorialise him. Another interesting detail is that a woman is painted on the star, waving her scarf. Perhaps it is Susan waving farewell to her husband.
The ship itself is a Norwegian galleon with 40 guns, as it was built in 1725, it is quite possible that she had previously served in The Great Northern War (1700-1721).

alpha bros will always pick lions and wolves to superimpose their "I'm so badass I need no one" memes on as if those aren't the two animals most famous for having a buddy system and excellent group cooperation.
