Present Day - Avengers Tower
The warm rays of the morning sun slowly make their way over the city skyline as dawn begins to break. As usual, Bucky is the first awake. His back pressed against the cold metal pillars connecting the floor-to-ceiling windows to the face of the building. There are plenty of chairs in the common room, but he prefers the ground. Getting himself as close to the window as possible, he looks down at the streets slowly coming to life. Being so high up makes the people below look like ants. Scurrying from one sidewalk to another. He pulls his knees into his chest. Crossing his arms over the top of his legs to create a pillow for him to rest his head on. His right arm always on top of the left; it’s warmer. Bucky’s ears perk up at the sound of faint footsteps coming in his direction. He feels no need to turn around and look, he knows who's approaching. It’s almost routine at this point.
“Another rough night?” Sam says as he walks up to Bucky. Two steaming cups of coffee in hand. “Not as bad as yesterday. I was just restless. Or maybe my brain is now used to waking up before the sun does.” Bucky reaches out and grabs the warm mug that Sam is offering him, pulling the mug in close and taking a small sip. “Or maybe the sleep aid Banner concocted for you is working. This is good.” Sam says as he lowers himself to take a seat on the ground opposite Bucky.
“Nothing about this feels good, Sam.”
“You need to have hope, Buck. I know it’s hard, but having a night that's better than lasts, it’s a good sign.”
“Don’t get your hopes too high… The terrors always come in waves.”
“If you’re not gonna have hope for yourself, then I’ll just have enough hope for the both of us. How bout that?”
“Fine by me.” A small chuckle falls from Bucky’s lips as he lifts the mug up for another sip. They sit in silence for a moment. Both looking out the window at the streets below. The hustle and bustle of people making their way to their morning shifts. “Ya know,” Sam speaks up, “one of these mornings I’m gonna startle you when I walk up.” Bucky lets out a soft chuckle, “That’s an impossible task. I hear everything.”
“Not me! I’m light on my feet.”
“Are you asking to lose?”
“Oh, so you’re throwing down some smack talk now?” Sam says with playful aggression.
Bucky laughs, “Are you not proposing a competition?”
“Ya know what? Yes, I am, and you don’t even know what you’re up against because up until this point I haven't even been trying to be sneaky.”
“That is such a lie!” Bucky laughs, “Fine, you’re on.”
“Let the startle competition commence!” Sam announces. He stands up, reaching a hand out to Bucky to help him up. “Come on, think Stark wanted to call a meeting bright and early.” Bucky takes Sam’s hand and lets Sam help pull him up. “Yeah, you’re right, let's go.”
The two go their separate ways to change before meeting up with everyone else in the meeting room. As Bucky closes his bedroom door behind himself, he takes a deep breath. In and out. His room feels heavy. The closed blinds blocked out any sliver of sun from entering. The blankets from his bed are strewn about the room. Stacks of cups are clustered on his bedside table. Papers and journals are scattered all over the floor. Even though he’s been free from Hydra for five years, he still feels like it was yesterday. Quickly, he freshens himself up and throws on a red henley, jeans, and some boots.
Bucky walks into the meeting room. Seeing that he is the last to arrive, Bucky shifts his gaze down and takes the open seat next to Sam. “Glad to see you could make it, Barnes,” Tony mutters under his breath with a scoff. “This meeting better be worth the early call time, Stark,” Natasha says. “Ya never were a morning person were ya Nat?” Tony jokes. Nat rolls her eyes. Tony clicks a button on the small remote he's holding in his hand. The shades on the large windows begin to close, and a large projection appears behind Tony. The projection is filled with images of recent news headlines.
‘Breaking News! The CEO of Krona Inc. was assassinated in his New York City home, January 15th, 2024.’
‘Breaking News! Democratic candidate Liz Shultz shot at a recent speech in Chicago! Shultz was quickly escorted to emergency care and sadly passed later that night. March 2nd, 2024.’
Breaking News! A bomb was set off at Mayor Montgomery’s re-election celebration event. Many were harmed during the explosion, and many also tragically passed, including Mayor Lucas Montgumery, Riva CEO Nancy Picket, BFFA Nonprofit Executive Riley Limen, and Senator Sasha Grey. November 21st, 2024’
Roughly twenty headlines of similar titles graced the projection behind Tony. “I want you all to take a look at these headlines… One thing is for certain: the recent uptick in assassinations has been astounding. You all would agree, I would assume.” Tony takes a moment to look around before continuing. “What other two things do we know regarding these headlines? Anyone? Fine, I’ll tell you. For starters, all these victims are connected. All these politicians and all these ceo’s or charity people, they all work together… frequently… Any of you want to chime in here? I’m really doing all the heavy lifting.”
“If all the victims are connected, then whoever is behind it is trying to wipe out that group's influence. Boom, that's detective 101 right there.” Sam adds, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms confidently over his chest.
“Yes, but all of these cases went cold almost immediately. There were zero suspects and zero evidence left behind by the attackers.” Nat adds, leaning forward in her chair to rest her elbows on the table. Becoming ever more intrigued with what Tony is proposing to the group. “Stole the words right out of my mouth as that is the second piece tying all these cases together…the lack of evidence.”
“Please tell me there's a but,” Nat mutters. “But! That might all change today.” Tony says before clicking a button on his remote. The headlines all begin to fade away and be replaced by some of the lowest quality pictures of a person dressed in black that the group has ever seen. “You can’t be serious…” Sam says under his breath. “Tony… seriously! This is what you’ve gathered us all here for?” Nat says as she lets herself slump back into her chair. “Yes! Matter of fact, it is! Now, I know these pictures are only about hmm, give or take five pixels, but! Stick with me. These images are from various street cameras throughout all the major cities where these crimes happened. This person managed to avoid areas where they knew there would be better updated cameras… but they got caught by some long forgotten, poor, neglected cameras.”
“And why should we believe this person has any relation to the various headlines you just presented us with?” Banner speaks up from a seat in the back. “Because! We’ve scrubbed the data off these various cameras going all the way back to 2016, and this person only appears on the days these crimes occurred. They even appear on dates corresponding to cold cases from 2018!”
“That's a blob, Tony! I don’t care if that blob was there in 2018! That. Is. A. Blob!”  Banner exclaims back to Tony. Throwing his hands in the direction of the projection.
Bucky sits silently as he watches everyone else around him arguing. He begins to tune them all out as he feels his body tensing up, surely due to the arguing happening around him, but also something about these crimes doesn’t sit right with him… Years of cold cases with zero suspects that all seem to connect to serve a greater agenda… It’s all too familiar… Bucky tries to block those thoughts out of his head. The sounds of the voices around him slowly come back as he tries to become present again.
“Fine! If you all don’t want to believe me or believe my leads, then that's… that’s fine.” Tony takes a moment to catch his breath. Placing his hands on his hips in clear frustration. “Just please, if you're out on a mission or hell even just out grabbing a sandwich around the corner, just please keep an eye out for anything.” Everyone settles down and begins to rise. Bucky quickly stands from his chair and makes his way out of the room.
This can’t be happening. It’s impossible. Right? No, no, it’s all in my head. It’s all in my head. Bucky’s mind begins to race as he makes his way back to his room. He needs to be alone. He needs to think.

Hydra wants to create a second Winter Solider
Part 1 Here
Part 2 Here
Part 3 Here
Dad!Bucky Barnes, Daughter OC!
Warnings: fighting, abuse, creepy guy, suggested SA
Story Summary: Hydra has conducted countless experiments to recreate the serum they gave Bucky so they can continue to create more Winter Soldiers. All experiments thus far has been failures. What happens when they give one final hypothesis a shot.
Word Count: 1311
02 had no childhood. From the moment she was brought into this world, Hydra took great care to sculpt her into their next perfect weapon. Hydra took precautions to ensure Bucky couldn’t remember 02 was his child. Right after her conception, they increased his amount of routine memory whipping. It was vital to Hydra that neither of them knew of their relation. Believing that their subjects were easier to control when they believed they were alone.  As a child, 02 had no toys, no coloring books, no bedtime stories. Early childhood was focused on discipline. Instilling in her that if she does not follow orders, she will be punished. Hydra didn’t care about hurting a child if it benefited their goals. Dr. Zymin enlisted a small team of teachers to instruct 02 in things Zymin deemed important. She learned to read and write and quickly became bilingual in English and Russian. As she grew older, she would become a polyglot. She was only taught basic math. Deadly weapons don’t need to know calculus. She spent the rest of her time training. Hand-to-hand combat from the moment she could walk till she was ten. That’s when weapons got introduced. Trainers instructed her in close combat with knives and how to operate different types of guns. Once she was 13, the trainers would test her abilities. They often would fight against her to see how she would handle fighting a real person. At this time, she was becoming perfect. Rarely ever losing. So they took these tests one step further. Having her fight against Bucky once a week.
October 15th 2016
02 POV
Sweat dripped down the sides of my face as I threw punches at Ivan, Hydra’s trainer. I threw a right hook at his cheek. Throwing him off balance, stumbling back, and holding his cheek. I breathed hard, keeping my fists in front of my face as I watched him regain his balance. “Well done, soldier. You win this fight. We will conclude this session with a full-gear fight against Winter.” I finally let my arms fall from my face. Walking over to my gear, a shiver ran down my spine. I tried to shake it off as I began to suit up. A full gear fight meant we both had to be in our combat uniforms and were allowed to use small knives. Hydra’s goal is for these fights to be perfectly equal, and in theory, they should be. We have the exact same gear, same weapons, same training. But he’s so much bigger than me and more experienced. I have yet to win. As I finish zipping up my vest, I see him walk in. He’s suited up, and he takes his position on the other end of the training room. I pull on my mask and goggles and take my spot on the opposite side of the room. Ivan takes his spot against the wall, perfect for moderating the fight. Winter and I stare at each other for a moment, I'm hesitating, he makes the first move. Quickly lunging towards me. I swerve out of the way, blocking his hits. One after another after another. He gears up for a left hook, I duck out of the way. Bouncing back up and landing an uppercut on him with my momentum. The adrenaline of landing a hit fills my body with endorphins. He comes back at me, trying to pin me down. I move efficiently through a mix of blocking, dodging, and hitting. We’re so synchronized it's almost musical. I land a hard kick to his gut. Knocking the wind out of him. Within a split second, he takes hold of my ankle. Gripping so tightly with his metal hand, I can feel his grip through the layers of my boot. I let out a screech of pain, trying to keep it in. Stay silent! I think to myself. He whips my leg like a workout rope. Flinging my body onto the ground. Completely knocking the air from my lungs. Before I know it, he has me pinned down. His knees holding my arms in place. I can’t escape. A quick succession of blows to the head leaves me seeing stars. “Stop!” Ivan yells. The fight is over. Another loss. I feel Winter's weight leave my body, followed by the sound of his heavy boots as he exits the room.
I sit on a steel medical chair that resides in the middle of the large cement room Hydra uses for daily reports. The cuffs around my wrists are cold. They always leave marks from being closed slightly too tight. The fluorescent lights on the ceiling look like their barely alive. Casting a subtly dim green light over the space. The drainage hole on the floor has droplets of water on it. Someone else's check-in must not have gone well. “02, I see your language training this morning went well. You’re nearly fluent in Korean.” Dr. Zymin says as he enters the room. His gaze shifted down towards the clipboard in his hands as he reads over my report. “Yes, sir.” My palms were sweating. I knew what was coming but wanted to avoid it as long as possible. “And it looks like your solo combat training went well, your duo training with Ivan went very well...” “Yes, sir”. I impulsively begin to pick at the skin around my fingers, trying to release the ball of anxiety growing larger inside my chest. “But.. your training with Winter..It did not go well, did it?”. Dr. Zymin looks up from the clipboard. His gaze is piercing. “No, sir.” A hint of a tremble laces my words. His gaze lingers an extra few seconds. “Speak!!” He yells at the top of his lungs. I flinch at his voice. “It was going well at first. But he pinned me again...” Zymin harshly slaps me across my cheek. The area stings and pulses from the impact. “I don’t care if it was going well! You failed! You’ve failed me yet again, my child! You know better than this.” Zymin paces for a moment before coming to a quick stop in front of me again. “What is most important, my child?” He asks me. “N-never upsetting Daddy,” I recite, my gaze shifted down as I try to hold back tears. “Exactly. And what upsets Daddy more than anything?”  “Failure..” My lip quivers. I can feel his heavy gaze upon me. “Look at me when I speak to you!!” His voice booms through the room. I quickly shoot my head up, locking eyes with him. “You are perfect in every way, my child. Failure is utterly unacceptable. I will not accept any more failures during your combat training.” Zymin crouched down, his eyes meeting mine. He gently runs a hand through my hair. Moving his hand to brush along my cheek and hold it tenderly. “I have been too kind to you, my child. Too lenient. I am tightening the leash.” His gentle hand morphs into a harsh grip on my cheeks. His fingernails dug into my cheeks hard enough to break the flesh. “Not another single failure during your combat training, do you understand?” “Yes, sir”. “Good,” he responds, forcefully pushing my head back as he lets go and stands up. He pulls a pristine white handkerchief out of his pocket to clean the blood out from under his nails. “Demitri!” Zymin snaps. The guard quickly straightens himself up and steps forward. “Unlock her and punish her, however you want. I don’t care. Hit her, rape her, cut her, whatever. Just get the point acrossed.” All other guards exit with Dr. Zymin as Dimitri makes his way up to me. My head hangs low. Dimitri grabs a fistful of my hair and pulls my face up to meet his, a twisted smile spread across his face.

Hydra wants to create a second winter solider

Dad!Bucky Barnes, Daughter OC!
Warnings: mentioned/implied SA, death
Story Summary: Hydra has conducted countless experiments to recreate the serum they gave Bucky so they can continue to create more Winter Soldiers. All experiments thus far has been failures. What happens when they give one final hypothesis a shot.
Word Count: 979
Bucky stood behind a one-way mirror that looked into the cell of the woman Hydra deemed worthy of carrying their future perfect soldier. Hydra security found her through internet databases and street security cam footage, deeming her the perfect healthy candidate. It was Bucky’s job to bring her here. To kidnap her while she was on her way home from her closing shift. Not long after she locked the doors and began walking into the night Bucky emerged from the shadows, as quietly as a mouse. Quickly coming up behind her with a rag doused in chloroform. Firming pressing it against her face while holding her arms back. Quickly knocking her out. And now she was here. Waking up in a cold concrete cell, scared. Bucky stood amongst some of Hydra’s scientists and doctors, watching her through the one-way mirror as she panicked to escape.
Once Dr. Zymin gave Bucky the okay, he made his way around to the cell along with another guard. The guard unlocked the door and Bucky walked in. The guard closed the door and locked it behind him. The woman was terrified. She sat on the floor. Pressing herself against the wall. Bucky stared down at her. His gaze was cold and unwelcoming. This was his mission and he had to complete it. He began stepping towards her. She tried even harder to escape into the wall. Wishing she could somehow phase through the concrete wall. “No no no please” She whispered. Tears falling down her cheeks. Streaking her makeup into a watercolor mess. Bucky said nothing. Closing the distance between them he began to unbuckle his belt.
The woman was monitored very closely by Hydras doctors for the next nine months. Every day she would wake up to the sound of banging on her metal cell door. Soon after the guards would come in. Their heavy boots hit the ground hard as they walked up to her. Clasping cold cuffs around her wrists before escorting her out of the cell, through the halls, and into the lab. She’d lay on cold metal beds while the doctors monitored her pregnancy. Making sure every moment was going according to plan and that this child would be the perfect healthy baby Zymin wanted.
Bucky sprung up from his slumber, startled. He barely slept and when he did it was never hard, he was constantly on alert. The sound of feet quickly moving through the hallways accompanied by hasty murmurs filled the space outside his cell. There was no use in getting up to investigate the commotion, guards kept his door locked at all times.
After what felt like hours, Bucky heard familiar heavy footsteps approaching his door. He watched as the door unlocked and two Hydra guards walked in. One was taller and leaner while the other was a bit shorter and muscular. “Zymin requests you in the lab”. The taller guard said. Bucky stood and the guards escorted him to the lab. As they walked through the hallways Bucky took notice of the lack of people, compared to all the commotion he heard earlier, there was not a soul in sight as they made their way through Hydra’s maze of dimly lit hallways. The green fluorescent cast a sickly hue on the cold cement walls.  They approached the lab, a bright white light peeked through the crack in the double doors. The taller guard reached out, pushing the door open for Bucky. The lab was so bright. The dingy cement walls and floors dampened the room but the lights were blinding, It took a second for Bucky's eyes to adjust. Once they did he finally saw what the commotion was about, the baby had been born. Bucky took a spot next to Dr. Zymin as they watched over the operation. The woman looked exhausted, sweat making her hair stick to her forehead. But the doctors no longer cared about her. They were all swarmed around the child. They had placed the child on a table to the side where they all were monitoring it. It felt like there were far too many doctors to even be doing anything efficient but they all seemed to move together like a well-oiled machine. “Solider,” Zymin said, causing Bucky to quickly turn his attention to him. Zymin didn’t make eye contact with Bucky, rather keeping his gaze locked on the woman. “I need you to get rid of her. Now that she's done her job we can’t have an outsider here. It’s too risky. Dispose of her however you want. I don’t care.” Bucky turned his attention back to the woman. She looked so pale. She’d probably die on her own if she was simply left there. Bucky walked over to her. The woman turned and looked up at him. Her eyes were glossy but her lids hung low. Her face cried to him for help, but nothing was enough to break through to him. He slid his arms under her body, one under her legs and another under her back, and lifted her. As Bucky made his way out of the room Dr. Zymin made his way over to the baby. “Dr. Zymin!” a spry-looking doctor walked up to Dr. Zymin “The experiment worked sir! The baby has the serum in her DNA as we hypothesized! We have run all her vitals and everything is perfect. You have a perfect healthy baby girl sir.” The doctor stood tall, proud, as he proclaimed to Dr. Zymin. “Wonderful” Zymin responded. His deep voice always sounded sinister. All the other doctors moved out of the way as Zymin approached the baby. He reached down and picked up the baby, holding her high. “You will do wonders for our mission my child. Hail Hydra”. A hush fell over the room then the faint sound of a gunshot ran off in the distance.

I drew Astarion a while ago and it didn't at all come out like I hoped it would. So here he is again and also I think this time I kind of extended my limits contrast wise when it comes to this style.
Inwatched a vid on negative space and it really helped a lot.
