We were shown how to make a mokulito while at Spanish Point. I really enjoyed this process and how different medias gave different outcomes. I would like to use this process more and try layering prints onto eachother.

Tried cyanotype while at Spanish point. My first attempt didn't work as I used marker that let the light through. Second time I used tea leaves and it worked out well. I went over the print again with a roll of ink in two colours.

Took inspiration from the rocks at the beach in Spanish point. Made this with lino and monoprint. I wanted to use bright colours this time as most of my project is neutral coloured.

I tried to print on bread. The ink only took to it when it was lightly toasted. When the bread went stale it wouldn't take the ink either so I decided to make a bread tray with the leftover bread and added a sheet of acetate with the word 'bread' printed all over it.

More monoprints. this time using actual bread. although it didnt really work out and the bread got stuck to the paper. also used piles of sugar instead of a sprinkling. made big indentations int the paper, so much that there was some rips. still like the outcome

same again on better paper. one didnt work out too well. I think I prefer it on the whiter paper. i think it stands out more.

decided to change the colour i was using witht the etching plate. decided to try white. there was some residue from the brown used before and then just from the plate itself. made it look a bit like marble. also used more things like rock salt, string and crumpled paper to make embossments and texture.

more experimenting with monoprints, sugar and flour. also different textures like muffin cases. that didnt really work out like i thought they would.

used the etching and the drypoint on different surfaces. brown paper like they would have used in old bakeries and used sugar and flour bags. printed on the inside and reassembled so the print is on the outside. also used oil to make one of the bags transparent.
