They are throwing shit cuz game is crap in general. People pissed how much attention was put in queer and stuff while on the background your plot is crap, dialogs are crap, directing is crap. It looks like a rainbow piece of shit aka dating simulator.

No judging - I am a regular enjoyer of it myself. But then give other title for the game, I dunno, stop pretending it's Dragon Age, or RPG, or something we loved a long, long time ago.

BG2 successfully demonstrated that it's not about the queer thing - it's about the hard work that was put in the piece of art. Or, well, has to be.

Dragon Age is dead. Mass Effect is too.

Cyberpunk Orion will be the next cuz Sweet Baby ink and Blackrock will put its dirty hands on it.

Problem is not in characters, problem is people who writes repeating lines, boring sheets of words, who doesn't let you - here is the irony - to be yourself (I really don't see an option to be an ass like it was in DAO or MA).

And yeah, guess what, aggression falls on queers and ect because it looks like the representation became the first goal, not the quality.

"Hey, we did bad but look, here is a girl party for your gameplay for the first 1-2 hours. Go girls, go!"

And this is very sad. They turned amazing story into colorful fairytale fanfic for girls.

If I would need one I would go read it here or on the Archive.

And many people feels the same. It doesn't mean they are homophobic or transphobic.

It's just the world doesn't consist from gays, trans and girls in 80%. Our own world is on fire, there were so much more to talk about through the art medium. LGBTQ have always been in BioWare games. But there were no such hard focus on it and it was working perfectly.

Dragon Age has always been queer. Dragon Age has also always been "controversial" for it. The homophobes and transphobes now throwing a fit over The Veilguard's queer cast are no different than than the assholes who came before them.

Johnny's phrase "I am in your shoes, dumbass" translated in Russian a bit different. I dont know how word "dumbass" sounds in English - I think it's a bit rude in it's meaning - in Russian they used word "балда" (close to english "goosey" I guess). I mean whole this conversation in russian really sounds like two lovers talk. I used "балда" word only for people I was in love with. And I've never heard somebody used it in other cases (not taking culture like literature ect.)

It’s awful.

Lets be clear - after what V went through she should has a PTSD. Which means she(in my case) can’t live like NPC, she will looking for trouble and will find some sooner or later and will be killed. I don’t understand people who think that after endless massacre you can live like a normal person. Especially without implants. When you lose your arm your feel phantom pain, when you lose your implants you feel phantom power. In the end when you lose all your beloved you feel phantom liberty.

Is it worth it, people?

I hoped for good ending for V and John. But the same time I realise that create a masterpiece is simpler with drama, and CDPR did it perfectly.

And still I’m just crying the second day and thinking to start take my pills again. Shit.

The ending is so horribly depressing yeah I get it he’s the killing thing, he’s gotta go but FUCK that ending dialog? Him calling her Valerie??? I’m SAD NOW. And she’s so fucking frail my poor girl, frail and lost. (Also this makes me think about disability things and I’m taking it too personally) While the optimist can see this as a new beginning for v, she can possibly take on a new job with the FIA, I just see it as a woman who’s been horribly fucked over, used and tossed aside.
