I’m poly so it makes sense that all my characters are poly—except for my lala who currently is ace. But she’s only in post ARR and I have this feeling she’s going to really like Krile.

My bunboy has a very high sexual drive (he’s only in his thirties, young for a Viera) and has slept with every Scion except Y’shtola (he’s working on it) and the lalas and doesn’t like being tied down but loves Raha the most.

My Sunkeeper is a Nunh. Enough said.

And my elfboy loved Haurchefant, loves Urianger, and I can’t say more since I have a WIP with him.

Is your WoL polyamorous or strictly monogamous? Or are they simply uninterested in the whole thing?

Ch. 32: Triumphs and Regrets

The culmination of Vallerin's duty to avenge Haurchefant and bring the Archbishop and his knights to justice is the stuff of both dreams and nightmares.

(Spoilers for Heavensward 3.0 from "First Flight of the Excelsior" to "Heavensward" and a little beyond.)

I've always had a tough time writing endings, and this pretty much closes the tale on Haurchefant, so I apologize for the delay. Obviously we're not done yet, but we're getting fairly close! Thank you all for your kudos, comments, and support.

Ch. 31: In Pursuit

Summary:

Vallerin reacts to Urianger's letter, and then begins his pursuit of Archbishop Thordan VII and the Heaven's Ward. A lot of surprising events occur, leading up to a long overdue talk with Count Edmont de Fortemps.

And oh he INSTANTLY fell hard for Hyth, lol….hard enough that he’s like, “Okay, maybe Emet’s not such a bad guy after all…” 🤣

Ch 30: The Answer

Oof, each of my characters have detailed backstories. I’ll try to be brief.

Thumpurr felt adored and cherished by his mother and sisters—until puberty hit and he developed as a male and was forced to leave to a hostile forest rife with roaming bands of overly hostile and under supervised males and Garlean invaders trying to gain a foothold. After too many beatings and molestations, he fled his homeland. It’s likely that his family is alive, but he can never see them again, as an exile.

D’rhyl doesn’t remember most of his childhood but has been able to research that he was born in Ala Mhigo. Most of his tribe was killed by the Mad King since they were closely tied to the Fists of Rhalgr. The rest died when the Garleans invaded—his mother fled with him to the Shroud where they lived for a time with the Moon Keepers before ending up on the outskirts of Ul’dah with the rest of the refugees. He remembers stealing food from vendors to bring to his mom. She died during the Calamity while he was at Cartenau.

Vallerin has a whole fanfic where his story is detailed. He was born in a tiny village in the North Shroud, the fourth child in a desperately poor family. The two biggest events in his childhood was witnessing the star shower when the Battle of Silvertear Lake happened, awakening the Echo when he was 9, and the death of his beloved father at age 11, to the Ixal. He never got along with his mother, and she threw him out the day he turned 18. So he became an adventurer.

What were the pivotal moments in your WoL's early life that shaped them or set them on their path?

Some recent screenshots of Vallerin—he unlocked Pictomancer and finished his Dark Knight quests. Also he just started Endwalker.

It’s amusing to me because when I started this character, he just wasn’t interested in any of the caster jobs at the time. So I was like hey, whatever the new caster job is, you’re taking it, bud.

This was before I knew all about his backstory with the Moogle being his only childhood friends. As soon as he saw the quest giver for Pictomancer, he was like YES!!! Now This is a magic wielder I can get along with. No crusty old theories—just IMAGINATION!!

It dovetails nicely with his whole Bard story.

Last note—he selected his outfit for Sharlayan with great care. He didn’t want to appear warlike with his usual dragoon gear. He also hopes music will tear down some barriers.
