As someone that has grown up surrounded by beaches and done surf life saving, I know how the sea works. Lots of people dont. Every summer multiple tourists die here because they don’t respect the sea, if you’re going to the coast, here’s a thing I saw on Facebook.

ok but like i know you just ranted about ships but am i the only one who thinks bakugou (unless he calms the fricc down) and midoryia would be a vv toxic/abusive relationship?? like?? it just doesnt seem ok to me at all?? (I dont wanna cause anything but like... Am i the only one who thinks this?)

Listen anon… you can think whatever you want about BakuDeku. I personally don’t ship it. Nor do I ship BakuShima, Kacchako, BakuMomo, TodoBaku, etc. Because like you, I don’t think Bakugou is ready to let someone into his life in the way that requires someone to be for a romantic relationship.

But if you are going to make the ‘Bakugou is immature and will be abusive in the relationship’ you CAN’T ship him with anyone then. 

No shipping him with Kirishima, cause the boy already has self-esteem issues

No shipping him with Uraraka because Bakugou has beaten her up to the point she was unable to stand

No shipping him with Todoroki because Todoroki is a child of an abusive father.

No shipping him with Momo because if she is told or thought to be worthless, she will act as such.

By saying Bakugou is ONLY going to have an abusive relationship with Midoriya, you are canceling out that he has been pretty nasty to a lot of his other classmates. This is the 15-year-old who day one thought he’d be the best and didn’t need to respect or get to know any of this classmates. 

Bakugou is in no way perfect, and he STILL has a long way to go in his character growth. But please understand that this isn’t just towards Midoriya. It’s towards EVERYONE.

You understand what I’m saying, right? 

If you’re going to make the ‘Bakugou needs to mature and calm down’ argument… then please make that argument for EVERY Bakugou ship. 

But attacking one single ship as ‘Abusive’ you are as a result saying all the other terrible things he’s done is okay. Sure Midoriya has been the victim of the worst of his offenses, I will agree. But it’s also not right to pick and choose one abuse over another. That’s like picking which crime is the better one to commit. Both are horrible and deserve to be treated as such.

So when it comes to BakuDeku and Bakugou in general, ask yourself if you are thinking this way because you truly see this as a problem with Bakugou’s current canon character and how he acts with everyone, or if you are only thinking this way because of BakuDeku and your dislike of the ship.

I’m not trying to tell you what to think, nor am I trying to start anything. All I’m asking for is for Anti-BakuDeku’s to treat Bakugou’s action with Midoriya for EVERY ship.

 I’ve seen countless fan creations where he is being an ass to Kirishima, Todoroki, Uraraka, etc and people say it’s okay because these characters can ‘handle’ Bakugou.

And in all honesty, if your only argument for not like BakuDeku and shipping BakuShima, Kacchacko, TodoBaku etc is that those characters could ‘handle’ Bakugou more…that’s a toxic relationship.

 I think you first need to read the current relationship between Bakugou and Midoriya and see they are a better and proper rival relationship and then take a seat and think long and hard about how you’ve reduced teenagers to ‘taking care’ and ‘handling’ Bakugou.

None of these kids are ready or should feel obligated to ‘control’ Bakugou. And if you’re reducing them to that, you only care about the ship and not the characters in it. 

Bakugou needs to mature by himself by learning for himself. And his possible love interests will be there to support him, not lead the way. 

I’ll say it once again because I know I’ll be getting messages for supporting BakuDeku, even though I don’t ship it… and that’s to think before your type. I am a real person, as is everyone else in the BNHA fandom on this website.

Midoriya would NEVER approve of sending hate and death threats to people, even for his sake. So please, for the love of this fandom and the messages it tells… let people ship what they want because you have NO IDEA what their life may be like and that their ship might be the only thing bringing them comfort and acceptance in their lives.

anyways reminder that deku was in fact one of the people who influenced kirishima to pursue his dream as a hero. even though it was indirectly happened that none of kiri or deku realizes it until the present time, dekus determination in risking his life to save a certain person was one of the factors that supported kirishimas early growth ok
