She can feel it in her chest, that rising nagging sensation she associates with her asthma, her fingers clenching at the front of her chest, watching as Clara moves ahead of her. “Clara –– Clara wait!”She turns to look back, behind her, where they should be going, but Clara was going the other way, perhaps into a danger she might not get out of–––“We should be getting back to the TARDIS....It’s safe there, back this way....what has anything here got to do with ME anyway?”

She didn’t want to tell him, that it was not  something he had been witness too, that  she had shared the thought, the memory,  the feeling through her Zygon sister...still,  she understood what she meant, and she still continued to smile back at him.  How could she resist travelling with someone  so enthusiastic? So eager for her to be with him on his adventure.  “You’re sure, I was never much good in the  field, Kate can vouch for that....” she began  with a bit  of a half smile.  “Not that I don’t want to, just don’t know if   I’m really the one you want for the role....” She clewed her lip, squeezing the inhaler in her pocket.  “But if you’re really offering, I’d love  to come. More than anything.”

❝  ——–NO. IT ISN’T.   ❞ He just WATCHES for a moment —– waiting for her to continue. Surely she — —

❝  I, erm — mentioned it ages back. Bit of a long day — can’t expect   you to remember, I suppose. But going by the way you sort of seemed to — forget how to breathe there for a few seconds tells me you weren’t exactly AGAINST the concept. Or am I getting my signals mixed up again?  ❞ 

Then suddenly he’s growing hopeful despite every single nerve in his  body PROTESTING against such a feeling. 

The Doctor’s lips pull higher and higher until they ACHE. 

❝  So WHAT DO YOU SAY? All of time and all of space ——– it could all be right outside your door. Imagine that. The entire universe for a back yard.  ❞

character development question : can Osgood speak any foreign languages?

Osgood has many talents, but other languages isn’t one of them, unless you count computer coding. She can code and computer program, and probably knows one or two french phrases but that’s it.

Both Osgoods were mentally linked, they couldn’t lie to each other and after the events of the Day of the Doctor and the cease fire, they were almost inseparable. The human Osgood was eager to learn more about the Zygon’s home, their planet, their way of life, and now the Zygon Osgood wanted to understand more of her new home. It was like Kismet, both seeming to brighten each other and be stronger together than they had been previously. It is my personal headcanon that it was the ZYGON OSGOOD that was murdered by Missy, and what remained was the girl who had lost a sister she had truly loved and cared about and learnt a new way of life from. She had taken the death extremely hard, and struggled to work in that time but she was getting better -- until the splinter group established itself.... At the end of the Episode Zygon Inversion, Two Osgoods are back, and though the Human Osgood is relieved, she still has to learn about her ‘new sister’ and because again, as Zygons are mentally linked she was able to show the amount of love and care that they had for each other. Soon, it was almost as though her sister had never died, and that they had a second chance at protecting the world together.
