Optimism basically means having a positive outlook on life. It is being hopeful and confident about the future or the success of something.
‘Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement…no pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit’. Helen Keller (1880 – 1968)
Yes .. that is me ( most of the time ) In fact there are many instances where I have had family or friends tell me that everything cannot work out if you are just going to be optimistic/positive. You need to be practical too. But honestly what is practical?
Studies show that if you are optimistic you are more likely to succeed in life. Because when you are optimistic you will be more persistent to get what you want. You do not give up so easily and you work harder to achieve whatever you want. Can you now imagine the difference between an optimistic salesman and a pessimistic one? Who do you think is more likely to succeed?
If you have an opportunity to spend some time with a positive, optimist or someone who is often negative about life, who would you choose? Well, I would definitely like to spend more time with someone who has a more positive outlook on life.
These are some of the things I do to be more optimistic.
When I undergo a difficult phase, I look for the positive in that. I was unwell for a long time last year. Initially, it was difficult, I was very upset, in a lot of pain and started feeling very low. Then one day I decided the only person who could help me, was me. The only thing I could do was find the positive in this and I did. 🙂 I read, I journaled, I meditated, learned new holistic practices .. I basically detoxed my mind, body, and spirit.
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”– Winston Churchill
Remembering to be grateful every day is another way of being optimistic. By being grateful, you focus on all that is positive. Thus bringing out the positive, optimist in you.
Think and talk more about all that is right in your life, and give less or no importance to the rest. If you spend time discussing the negative aspects, your mind gets stuck in the that. So spend more time talking about all the good, the right and the positive in your life.
As simple as, I am glad to be here today 🙂
Every evening, sit with your family or friends and ask each other: “ What is the good that happened in your life today?”  This will automatically make you focus and think and hear only happy and positive things, adding more cheer into your life.
Every time you realize you are having a negative thought, distract yourself from it. When I realize I am thinking a negative thought .. ( You will notice, haha ) I wave my hands over my head and just think to cancel, clear, delete .. cancel, clear, delete. This is something I learned at one of the workshops I had attended. And it does work .. I just remove that thought from my mind and quickly focus on the positive.
Smile – Did you know “When you feel down, your brain tells your face you’re sad and your facial muscles respond by putting on a depressed expression—and convey back to the brain that, yes, you’re feeling blue. Consciously changing the facial muscles so they don’t correspond to what you’re feeling is a way of sending a different message: “Hey, it’s not so bad down here after all.” The brain will respond by beginning to change your mood accordingly.” oprah.com
I do not know if any of you have read the story of Micheal J Fox who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 29. His story of optimism is one for all to read.
“Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist “
Just always remember that Optimism and Pessimism are choices. What are you going to choose?
“Choose to be optimistic, it feels better.”– Dalai Lama XIV

A topic discussed a lot .. But still isn’t there so much more for us to give.?
Not one of us can turn around and say we cannot give or we do not have anything to give .. we all something to give.
Over the years, I thought just giving to the blind school, or the sisters of the poor and any other organisation was a lot I was doing. But that according to me is just giving materialistically.
Yes, If one can give, then giving financial aid is absolutely wonderful and a must too.
But there is so much more we can give. We can give and share our time,  some love, a little kindness, compassion…Sometimes just being there and listening to someone who needs it is the biggest thing we can give.
Instead of spending so much time on our phones, let’s look up at people and see what’s happening around us. Does someone need your seat? Does one need a helping hand? Maybe one just needs a Smile.
It’s this Compassion and Kindness which can go a long way. This is giving ..
“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of  yourself that you truly give.”
Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
There is a lot of construction going on around my home in Bangalore ( the noise is deafening )
I have been so upset and angry sometimes  .. I have gone and spoken to them many a time – but these people are just doing their job. Taking orders from whoever gives it to them.
Over the last few months, I have noticed that they work come rain or shine! Looking at them working in the rain, completely drenched and their little kids freezing in the rain my heart broke.
Next day I went and bought 30 blankets and went personally and handed them over to these people. The Smiles on their faces!!
Now that I thought and truly felt was giving.
They say that people give for themselves or for others. Did I do this materialistic giving for myself?
Maybe .. but I did not have an ulterior motive. Honestly, I never thought I would write about this and share it with you’ll. Just looking at them freezing and cold .. my heart melted and I got the blankets.
So what is giving for yourself vs giving for others.? I think anyone who gives with an ulterior motive is obviously doing it for themselves.
To get some fame, name .. to talk about it and feel good about themselves. Do I feel good when I give? Yes .. of course. But I also love giving.
“Help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return.”
Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
I think we just need to have a little more awareness on what is happening in front of us.
We do not all need to run only to the big foundations – Let’s help these people who are working with us, around us too. Let’s give and share with one and all.
Twin hearts meditation has taught me that just sending out loving-kindness to the Universe is a great way to share.
So just thinking and sending out loving-kindness to people is such a wonderful way to give unconditionally.
What are the ways that You give and share? I would love to hear from you .. after all we all learn something new every day.

What is the difference between hearing and listening?
Life coach in Bangalore What is the difference between hearing and listening?
Here is the dictionary and mine ..
HEAR – “perceive with the ear the sound made by (someone or something) “ .
I feel, like you can hear the birds, the waves, the cars honking, someone talking, music playing etc.
LISTEN – “ give one’s attention to a sound.” Yes, when you give attention, that is listening.
Over the weekend I was at a workshop, and we learned, had breakthroughs, heard and listened to a lot. An AHA moment for me was when we began to discuss Listening. Does one need to go to a workshop to understand listening? Yes, I think so 🙂
During the lunch break, I was talking to my husband and shared with him learnings from the morning.
I feel one can listen from your head ( mind ) and one can listen from the heart!
Do you know the difference?
I realized that often when I am listening, I am already in my mind preparing what I am going to say to the person. What advice I feel the person needs! What needs to be done ..etc.etc.
And, when I listen from my heart – I am listening. Taking in and understanding what the person is saying, feeling .. There truly is a big difference. To listen from your heart is when You are totally present and right there for the person. You are in the ‘ Now ‘
“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.” Stephen R. Covey
As I sat back and thought about it I actually tried to honestly contemplate – How much was I truly listening and how much did I hear?
There are many benefits of listening.
Listening creates better relationships because it shows the other person that we are paying attention to them, their feelings, their thoughts, where they are and what is really happening.
It makes you more patient. It helps you build trust among everyone around You. It makes you more approachable .. more compassionate too.
The one thing I want to share is the few things we can do to listen better.
Look at the person .. look at their eyes. What are they saying? Don’t look at your phone and read your messages ( or this blog ) while someone is trying to talk to You.
Don’t judge the person, let them feel and share their feelings. Be open and attentive to them.
Please do not try and find solutions for them while they are talking. Sometimes people just want to share and not be given solutions. Unless asked for, I would suggest, Please do not give any advice… just an empathetic ear.
“Sometimes all a person wants is an empathetic ear; all he or she needs is to talk it out. Just offering a listening ear and an understanding heart for his or her suffering can be a big comfort.”
―Roy T. Bennett
So here I am ..offering You an empathetic ear.
What would You like to share?

HYGGE – A SENSE OF COMFORT, COZINESS AND PEACE
Would You like to sit with a warm cup of tea and cake, huddled up in a cozy blanket and feel the feelings?
Then TIS the Perfect season to write about HYGGE ( pronounced hue-guh)
This Danish concept cannot be translated into one single word.
Hygge is a concept originated in Danish culture that focuses on living with a sense of comfort, coziness, and peace. It has been described as, “creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people.” It’s a feeling of cosiness and well-being.
It has also been called “the art of creating intimacy,” to “coziness of the soul,” and even, “cocoa by candlelight.” It’s about that feeling or this moment.
What I absolutely love about Hygge is that one can apply it in our lives anywhere and everywhere. It’s just a way of being. When we are out with friends or alone at home – it’s just always being and feeling Hygge.
Let me share a few simple, easy and wonderful ways we can live a Hygge lifestyle.
The biggest thing the Danish people talk about when discussing a Hygge lifestyle is CANDLES.
Light some candles in your home to give yourself that warm feeling… do dim the lights please 🙂  Ask any Danish person, and they’ll tell you that the easiest way to create a ‘hyggelig’ atmosphere is with candles. I personally love candles and anyone and everyone who been to my home will account for that. One of my favourite gifts to receive are candles.
Tumblr media
These are the candles from my box – My Hygge box below :
https://www.anjanashamballa.com/product/happiness-in-a-box
Now spending quality time with friends and family is also something that puts you in that lovely cosy space. When I say spending quality time, I mean actually sitting and talking and discussing life and laughing and being there together for each other.
Hygge is about not depriving yourself of anything in life. Indulge yourself a bit. Don’t be too harsh on yourself – Yes, even eat a piece of cake or pastry or anything else you normally deprive yourself of.
Put on Comfy Clothes – Ok this is me for sure. There is nothing like a pair of comfortable pyjamas, warm socks and a big loose scarf around me during the winter months. It makes me feel so cozy and cuddly.
And what is also HYGGE is a big, warm, cozy, comfortable Blanket.
Tumblr media
Pick up a book you know you will enjoy and relax reading.
We do not get too many options, But setting up a fire and sitting around a beautiful roaring fire is Hygge too.
Keep things simple ( and soak it all in )
Indulge in a bath, with lavender and light a few candles.
Put your favourite photographs on the wall.
Bake some bread or cookies, Go out for a walk, stretch and chill and then ..
Make sure you put away your phone Please. Experience the moment, feel the feelings, enjoy the warmth, cherish the coziness.
Hygge is about togetherness – so meet your friends for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and have a few laughs.
It's about relaxation – Curl up in your comfy clothes and blanket and enjoy it.
Indulgence – Yes, go ahead .. have a piece of cake or cookie or that glass of wine or whatever else You feel you would like to indulge in at this moment.
Comfort – A cup of tea, phone on silent, lying on the sofa with candles lit all around You.
Hygge is not just about doing all of these. It is about feeling good, feeling present, feeling happy and spending quality time with yourself and all your loved ones.
So Simple right? I guess that’s why they say the Danish people are among the happiest in the world.
As I wrote this, I lit some candles around, sipped a lovely cup of coffee and put on my twinkly lights which I absolutely love, as they always put me in a happy space.
I Always have little thinking, fairy lights on .. through the year.
What are you going to do today?
.( You can read more about this in the wonderful book:
The Little Book Of Hygge by Meik Wiking )

Finding Balance | Anjana Shamballa | Life coach in Bangalore
So often, along the journey of life, I feel that I lose touch with my real self.
I get so caught up with what is going on in life that I lose touch of who Anjana is. I forget to do things for myself .. things that are good for me physically and emotionally.
I just become this Energizer bunny ( I think the Duracell ad ) and go on and on and on …. till I burn out. And then I tell myself, why did you do this to yourself?
Does this ever happen to You? Do you know what I mean?
Living a balanced life is key. Overdoing anything can cause upset or imbalance in our lives.. like the old saying goes, “everything in moderation is the secret!”
I know and I feel when I am out of balance because I do not feel good about myself – how I am feeling, how I am being … emotionally, physically and spiritually.
BALANCING LIFE .. PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY
When I don’t meditate regularly I feel an imbalance. If I do not get some physical exercise, strangely I feel get more aches and pains ( 😆) I need to spend time listening to my chants, reading, journal to maintain my balance. Eating healthy, some love, some laughter .. my blogs, my work.
I am not saying that I need to do each one of these every single day, but just a few at least. Once I can start my day getting into a balanced start, then the rest of the day flows easily. And through the 24 hours we all have everyday, can’t we find a little time to adjust and rebalance our lives?
Is this being selfish? I do not think so. I need to feel and be in a good, happy space so I can share it with others too.
Always remember if you’re irritable, constantly tired or getting upset that’s a great way to understand that your life is out of balance. We all need to have a schedule .. some planning that gets us into a balance.
So now, where and what is balance?
Who has created the norms of what balance is? What is the right balance in life? What I feel is balance may feel over the top for you, or maybe just too little?
How can I tell you how to balance your life?
How do we decide what we should do to finding the balance in any aspect of our lives?
I truly believe that this is such an individual decision.
“ Balance is a feeling derived from being whole and complete; it’s a sense of harmony. It is essential to maintaining quality in life and work ‘. Joshua Osenga
Yes, this I completely agree with. Feeling whole, feeling complete, feeling a sense of harmony – this is being in balance.
This is a great way for you to understand how to find your balance.
What makes you feel whole and complete? What makes you feel happy and harmonious? Make a list of this. Now try doing at least a few of these every day.
As you all know, I do tend to travel a lot and sometimes find myself at crossroads with myself. But honestly ..it just takes that little effort and time and I can feel happy and content again. It is something that each of us can do anywhere and everywhere once we know and find the few things we need to get into our happy, balanced space.
So what will it take or what does it take for You to live a life with balance?

Young at heart| Anjana Shamballa Life coach in Bangalore
Youth –  the time in our lives between childhood and adulthood. When we felt we had a lot of energy, we looked and felt fresh and energetic.
Young at heart is any of us still holds on to that feeling, that look, that behavior through our adulthood too.
For example, in spite of being grandmothers, I have some friends who are still youthful and always living life and having fun, we go to fairs and laugh and giggle. The dictionary explains it as “Having a youthful outlook, especially in spite of one’s age. For example, she loves carnivals and fairs; she’s a grandmother but she’s young at heart”
Personally I like to live “Young”.. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I have 2 Adult children.
I absolutely love spending time with all the children and that truly brings out the child in me, even now.
“The happiest adults are those who never buried old toys or abandoned imaginary friends.” – Richelle E. Goodrich
On my birthday this year I got presented a Big Unicorn by my children 🥳 It is in my bedroom and I absolutely love it.
Tumblr media
Now not all of us have to collect stuffed toys to be and feel young  🤩- there are many simpler ways too.
-Spend time with younger and more positive people. Avoid being around grumpy people too much.
-Laugh a lot .. laugh at yourself too and appreciate the positive side of life.
-Take time to feel pretty for yourself
-Spend at least 20-30 minutes exercising daily
-Grab a cup of coffee with your best friend and have a fun chit chat.
-Watch the new tv shows .. Listen to new music.
-Never believe you are too old to do anything
-Be spontaneous in life
-It’s ok to have a little chocolate or a glass of wine 😉
-Check out what’s happening on social media
I will end this with a wonderful quote by George Burns :
“ You can’t help getting older, but you don’t have to get old “
So live happy, live young. You are only as old as you believe you are. Age is just a number. So decide which number You want to be.

N – NATURE NURTURES | Anjana Shamballa Life Coach in bangalore
Recently while I was on a break, I sat and wrote about how Nature really nurtured my soul.
Listening to the trees rustle, sound of the sea, taste of the salt, colours you see.. . As I wrote this I realized that all my senses were being tickled. Life just slowed down.
What a wonderful calming and peaceful space. So grounding and just being able to connect to yourself. So therefore, I was in a completely different space, I felt.
Nature lifts me. It could be the mountains, the hills, my garden, the sea .. anything away from the city life, I guess.
All my FB and Instagram Anjana Shamballa profile followers will know how many photographs of flowers and sunsets I share. I just cannot help it. They truly bring a smile to my heart.
Last year I had a lot of health issues. I went to the mountains and spent a few weeks at my Sisters home. Definitely, something I will never forget, as my recuperation was just incredible. Looking at the hills, mountains, trees, birds, animals, stunning sunsets just changed my energy completely.
Tumblr media
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy amidst the simple beauty of nature. …I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.  Anne Frank
Honestly, none of us can always be on holiday. What can or what should we do to feel this way more often? I want to feel and experience this more often.  How do I  create this for myself in my home?
Each of us is nurtured by something different. Some need the mountains and some the sea. One may need sun and the other snow or cold.
What are the sounds that you enjoy? The sea, rain, stream, birds chirping, animals, waterfall …
What steps can we take to create what we want? To live in that wonderful space? To keep experiencing our “ nature haven”?
I sometimes just remove my shoes and walk barefoot on the grass – this is just a most wonderful feeling and very grounding too.
SIMPLE FUN STEPS
Find some photographs or a poster of the landscape that lifts you. And place it somewhere that You notice it daily.
All the sounds, music, birds chirping etc. are available online. Just get on and find the one that suits your mood.
Add some pine cones or seashells or colours that lift you.
Get some plants and flowers into your space. It really helps. 🙂 And if you cannot, the no. of good quality artificial plants available is amazing too.
I, in my office bathroom ( haha ), have tiles which really lift me too. Here’s a photo.
Take a deep breath and inhale. Think of the place You want to be in now. Remember the way you felt or you would like to feel there. Exhale and feel that feeling.
Feel it, Breathe it , Create it, Visualise it and Live it.
Our minds are very powerful. So certainly use it to your advantage by visualising what you want to feel. Once you do that you can believe it and feel it too.
Enjoy spending your beautiful moments in Nature. Cherish it.
God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. -Mother Teresa

Mirror Blog by Anjana Shamballa Life Coach in Bangalore
Have you tried mirror work?
Can you say I Love You to yourself?
All those who work with me know for sure that I absolutely love using mirror work with my clients and in my workshops.
As I Anjana Shamballa a Life Coach started on my journey of self-exploration many years ago I read Louise Hay’s Mirror workbook. Oh how difficult could this be, I thought to myself.
But do you realize that one of the things most people find very difficult is praising themselves? And now imagine if I ask you to say “ I love you” to yourself while looking into a small mirror. Many clients have cried as they have never expressed anything like this to themselves before.
At one of my workshops of “Loving yourself,” a client said that she could not do this exercise of saying ‘ I love You’ to herself. Because said felt that it was more important to be able to say I love you to her family first. But I really do feel that if you do not know how to love yourself, how can you love anyone else? You must know and experience love and positivity to be able to share it too.
Mirror work is definitely one of the most powerful ways to work towards Self-love.
Normally I ask my clients to start with one affirmation ( which we personalise together ).
Look into the mirror and start affirming to yourself daily. For example, You decide to say “ I am healthy “ as your affirmation and all through the day you just keep chanting I am healthy. This could just become something in the background which is getting no real attention from You.  On the other hand, You look into a mirror and say to yourself while looking into your eyes, I am healthy. The impact is very different. And if you can add your name to the affirmation, it can become even more powereful.
When you use a mirror to work with an affirmation or just talk positively, you become more aware of what you are saying, what you are resisting. A lot of people I have worked with find looking into a mirror and talking to themselves very difficult. Yes, initially it is. But many things we start initially are difficult. Then it just becomes easier with practice.
Once you plant the seed and start doing this regularly, You can see and feel the difference soon. When you talk positively to yourself and start giving yourself positive messages, it changes the way you look and feel about yourself too.
Tumblr media
M-mirrorHOW CAN I TRY MIRROR WORK?
I feel you should start mirror work by a simple “ I love you “ or a specific affirmation for yourself.
This I tell my clients you should look into a mirror and say to yourself 21 times daily. ( Honestly how long can it take ? ) And the important thing is to do this for at least 21 days.
Having the discipline to do it for 21 days will plant the seeds and start the growth of a new habit.
And as Louise Hay always taught us .. every time you pass a mirror give yourself a bit of a pep….. ‘ Looking good’ , ‘ Hey there Gorgeous’
Every time something good happens in your life,  go to the mirror and say Thank you to yourself and give yourself a pat on the back.
And if something happens that You are not happy with,’Its ok, this too shall pass .. I love You’
You decide what you want to say. Use positive words to lift yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Some Powerful affirmations by Louise Hay which  you can start with ( or contact me so we can make one specifically for You )
“ I deserve to live a good life and I begin now “
“ I am in perfect health “
“ Every experience I have is perfect for my growth “
I must admit I do look into the mirror and smile at myself and then just give myself a wink 😉
I have many affirmations stuck on mirrors all over my home. Every time I see it, I smile and affirm to myself positively.
Make your mirror your pal who you talk to ..and not just to see how you are looking physically.
Enjoy your time with yourself.

laughter best medicine for Depression treatment for a better life
Seriously .. do we need a blog on laughter?
Why? Don’t we all know that laughter is the best medicine and good for Depression treatment??
If this is true, then why are we not laughing more in life? Why are we looking for laughter therapy, laughter yoga, laughter workshops?
Where has laughter disappeared?
Have you seen children laugh? Have you heard them laugh? How does it make you feel?
I immediately start smiling or laughing when I see kids laughing. My heart just feels full.
Tumblr media
Honestly, how often do you laugh? Daily, weekly?
What makes you laugh? Who makes you laugh?
I must share something fun we do as a Family. We sit with the kids and put on Youtube videos of Babies laughing ( or doing silly cute things ) .. this drives my husband into splits, followed by another one giggling at him and another laughing..  and what follows is all of us laughing together. It is one of the funniest sights to see .. who is laughing at what and who no one knows.
After all, laughter is contagious right?
“ There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour “
- Charles Dickens
We share with others when we are upset, angry, have anxiety, excited... But when is the last time we shared our laughter.
At one of my workshops, I took everyone into the garden. I started laughing and told them to try it too. First, they looked at me like I was nuts but eventually all ( but one ) started laughing.
Why was it difficult for one person? Because she felt she needed a reason to laugh .. not just laugh for the sake of it. Now I think differently ..I feel Life is living and loving and laughing and being.
Laughing is something which anyone at any age can do.
I often hear people say I just don’t know how to laugh anymore.
Let me share a few simple things you can incorporate into your life to lighten it and laugh a bit more.
A smile is as contagious as laughter. So just smile     more .. smile at the trees, the birds, the buildings, because you are     here, at someone walking by .. anyone and anything. Just smile 😊
When you hear people laughing, move towards that.     People love sharing funny stories and love the reaction and attention they     get when sharing these too.
Basically, this means that try and spend more time with     fun, playful people. Laughter lightens our moods.
Every day or week ask someone “ What's the funniest     thing that has happened to you recently?” This makes one think and smile     as they and You recount all the fun things that have happened.
Get on YouTube and watch funny videos .. there are so     many of them. Or read fun stuff more often.
There are so many ways to laugh more. Find the one that works best for you.
Who do you feel in your life always makes you laugh or feel light? Spend more time with them.
Just a few benefits of Laughter - ( But do we need to know the benefits to laugh )
Laughter can make your relationships stronger &  help resolve disagreements and tension.
Laughter helps you relax and destress.
Laughter helps in Depression treatment and improve for daily lifestyle.
Laughter burns calories. ( ok a few but it still does )
Laughter boosts your immunity.
Laughter releases endorphins...
“ Laughter is and always will be the best therapy “
Make a pact with yourself for at least a week that you will laugh daily. "I will have a good laugh".
See how you feel. Any shifts? Any difference in any way?
I would love to hear what you feel helps you. Who helps?
Do share your thoughts and comments and SMILE 😊
Life is about living and laughing and sharing so let's share something funny that could help others laugh too 😁

It all starts with FORGIVENESS
All of us, in our everyday lives, go through situations where we feel let down or hurt. Anger, pain, frustration all these are natural feelings that all of us go through at some point or another. Sometimes we hurt ourselves mentally or emotionally to protect a loved one. Sometimes we lie so that someone else is not hurt. Sometimes we give up on our closest relationships or friendships because we have been hurt by the other person.
So, how do we deal with things we run from, the mistakes that we made or the time we lost and the people we hurt?
It all starts with FORGIVENESS. Forgiveness is such a beautiful and a powerful word yet we always think of it in the context of forgiving others and not ourselves. Forgiving yourself is as important as forgiving others because you deserve peace too.
Tumblr media
It may not always come easily as the natural choice but it is the right thing to do. It is absolutely normal to feel guilt, shame, pain and other such feelings after what you have gone through. Forgiveness gives you the ability to rise above the negativity and allows you to give yourself the permission to move forward after whatever has happened. And you deserve to move on!
The first step towards self-forgiveness is being mindful of what you are feeling. Allow yourself to observe your thoughts, feelings and reaction to them and really just go through them. Cry if you have to, shout, or feel angry. If you are able to freely acknowledge your feelings, the rest will follow.
The next step is acceptance – accepting responsibility for your actions. Here, you have to stop making excuses, giving reasons or justifying your actions. Accept yourself for the person you are, even for the mistakes you have made, for it has made you who you are today. Accept also that whatever has happened has happened. It’s in the past and it’s done.
What’s next? Be empathetic to yourself as opposed to blaming yourself. Feeling negative feelings will hinder you from making positive changes for the future. If you carry around the weight of the past on your shoulders, how will you be ready to build a better future? Be empathetic, loving and compassionate to yourself. Just like when a child falls, we lift it in our arms with love, compassion and empathy. This is exactly what you need to practice with yourself!
Once you are more conscious of your thoughts and energies and give yourself the permission to rise above the self-doubt, pain and guilt bring about a conscious change in your everyday life – the way you think of yourself in a particular situation, your reactions to it so on and so forth. Real change can come about when we change our thoughts and actions consciously.
The final step is to stop and appreciate yourself for the change you have made in your life. For having overturned negative feelings though the power of self-love and self-forgiveness. Here on, you can consciously avoid falling prey to past patterns and making similar mistakes that you may have in the past. You are now equipped with a new way of thinking, a new way of living! So welcome a new way of life!

K – Kindness | Anjana Shamballa Life Coach in bangalore
A quick short blog ☺️
My this blog K has been delayed a lot .Am sorry, I must say.
I felt really guilty when I could not get it out on time, but I told myself, it’s ok. It’s more important that I am kind to myself and not feel guilty.
Life over the last few weeks have been very hectic ..feel I have just been on the move and in this state honestly between my health and travel I just could not write.
A wonderful children’s program ( Sesame Street )  has a wonderful video that teaches kindness to children saying K is for kindness. Unlike many books which taught us K for king or K for kangaroo, I feel we must teach children how important kindness is to others and to ourselves too.
Kindness is defined as the quality of being friendly, generous and compassionate. If we can apply this to our life we by being kind to others become more gentle, more affectionate, more compassionate too.
Tumblr media
There are many types of kindness:
Kindness to people: giving a sibling a hug, helping     someone in need, and listening to a friend.
Kindness to animals: adopting a pet, filling up a cat’s     water bowl, or walking a dog.
Kindness to the environment: recycling, planting a     garden, throwing garbage away.
Kindness has been found by Scientists to be the most important in satisfaction and stability of relationships. Many colleges, including Harvard, are now emphasizing this on applications for admission.
As this is a quick short blog, my only question to you is
Do you show kindness to yourself?
And if so, can you share the different ways you do.
We all do learn from each other right ☺️

J - Judging Ourselves | Anjana Shamballa | Angel card therapy in Bangalore
Judgment is just an opinion - it could be a positive or negative one .. but it truly is just an opinion.
For example - You may feel Anjana writes these blogs and they are very personal. Now that is your opinion, your judgment about my blogs. But does that mean they are true? No. It’s what your opinion is about my blogs.
I feel I want to share whatever I can with You and hopefully hearing about a personal story may make it easier for You to connect with. So when we are judging someone it is just our opinion about them, not the truth. You may make it your truth, but what is the real truth?
There is an amazing verse in the Bible which says “ Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.“
This is something to always remember. If we have so many opinions of others, how much do we judge ourselves?
Self-judgement is like someone within trying to tell you what is right and wrong ( in their opinion )
I should have... I am so silly.
Why do I keep making the same mistakes? Why can't I     learn?
I called her and she hasn’t called me back. She must     think or be ...
I shouldn’t have said that. Oh dear, why did I?
I should, I could, why didn’t I?
Can you take a diary and now note a list of things or ways you speak to yourself and judge yourself?
Tumblr media
One of the ways I work with this in my workshops is to ask people to think of a friend going through a hardship. What would you say to the? Would you console them? How would you react?
Now put yourself in the same situation and honestly think - what would you say to yourself?
Can you be as kind to yourself as you would have been with your friend?
Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.” ― Naya Rivera
There is an amazing method to judge ourselves less and this is called the DUAL method.
Don't pass judgment.     If you find yourself being judgmental, stop yourself. ...
Understand.     Instead of judging someone for what he's done or how he looks, try instead     to understand the person. ...
Accept.     Once you begin to understand, or at least think you kind of understand,     try to accept. ...
Love.
To liberate yourself from your own self-judgment is to liberate others from it as well. To love yourself is an act of love for the world.” ― Vironika Tugalev

The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life Might Just Help You Live a More Fulfilling Life – ( Your reason to Be / for being )
The Japanese island of Okinawa, where ikigai has its origins, is said to be home to the largest population of centenarians in the world.
One international study found that people who have a sense of purpose in life are at lower risk of death and heart disease. Why? Researchers found that those who feel purpose often have healthier lifestyles. They are more motivated and resilient, which protects them from stress and burnout.
Discovering your own ikigai is said to bring fulfilment, happiness and make you live longer.
Want to find your Ikigai? Ask yourself the following four questions: What you love (your passion) What the world needs (your mission) What you are good at (your vocation) What you can get paid for (your profession)
{ So am going to try and find and share mine here… I love being there for people, helping them, sharing all I have with them. I want to help people heal and laugh and just Be. When I am doing this or my sessions or workshops is when I feel the happiest. I feel the world needs more love and compassion and understanding and being there for one another. I feel I am good at helping people tap into a happier and more positive version of themselves. So doing this makes me a coach, a healer? And Yes I can and do get paid for this. }
In their book Ikigai The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life, Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles break down the ten rules that can help anyone find their own ikigai.
1. Stay active and don’t retire 2. Leave urgency behind and adopt a slower pace of life 3. Only eat until you are 80 per cent full 4. Surround yourself with good friends 5. Get in shape through daily, gentle exercise 6. Smile and acknowledge people around you 7. Reconnect with nature 8. Give thanks to anything that brightens our day and makes us feel alive. 9. “Follow your bliss.” Find where it is, and don’t be afraid to follow it.”

Most of the people think they can get into the top of SERP just by launching a new site, and by doing some basic SEO stuff. But even if you win a good position. You should make some move to hold this position.

Gentle and grumpy? Yes 🙂. Ok, let’s start with Gentle. Gentle is being kind, mild or tender temperament or character. I feel in this blog what I want to share is understanding gentleness and how when one is grumpy you can still be gentle with people.
