I hate that lung cancer is stigmatized.

My dear friend has lung cancer from secondhand smoke. He's 16.

Whenever he tells people that he has cancer, they react with sympathy. Then he tells them it's lung cancer.

Boom. No more sympathy. Just 'why did you smoke?' 'Did you vape?' 'You're a little young for that, aren't you?' 'Why do you have cancer?'

Fuck you. He's 16. He can't breathe. He's gone through chemo and every type of treatment under the goddamn sun. We goof off and act like kids and he has to sit down to gasp and choke for five, ten minutes.

I hate that lung cancer is stigmatized.

The Newsies but I rank them on how well they'd probably be able to handle alcohol (excluding the younger ones) with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best:

Jack: -436. Will start sobbing after one shot.

Davey: 7. Usually the designated driver but can handle alcohol for a little while.

Crutchie: 3. After a few shots he starts forgetting how to use his crutch, and also he starts screaming curses.

Race: 8. He can handle himself because he's unhinged enough while he's sober for most not to notice he's drunk.

Spot: 10. He can down a whole bottle of whiskey and not even react.

Specs: 4. He starts talking to the walls.

Blink: 2. Also talks to the walls. Tries to start fights with the walls. He looses.

Mush: 3. He will start crying after enough alcohol but early on he usually just starts laughing like a psychopath and trying to do parkour off shit.

Albert: 2. Doesn't even need alcohol to act stupid. He just gets angrier when he drinks.

Les: 0. He was given apple juice and was told it was beer.

Boots: 1. He was given apple juice and told it was beer. A few minutes later he spiked it with actual alcohol when Jack wasn't looking. He started screaming about conspiracy theories then passed out.
