WWWY UPDATE

UPDATE!! I know that it has been over a week since this first came out, but since then WWWY Fest has updated their event. WWWY, that was once an 12 hour event for 65 artists, turned to 13 hours and then 3 days, October 22nd, 23rd, and 29th. - Im not going to lie, the fact that they didn't think this all through before making the announcements and a week late announcing that they are changing things seems like they don't know what they are doing. The sloppiness made the event sound like a hoax. Looking back on the page a week later I seen that all of their Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets are either sold out or unavailable. PRESALE BEGINS MONDAY JANUARY 31ST AT 10AM PT" They have also changed the presale date from January 21st to the 31st. If presale hasn't started, how are the Tier 1 and 2 unavailable. Tier 3 is available and is not greyed out for all of the options. It also looks like they added more information to the website and more accommodations as well. As I was going through the "Allowed and Prohibited" section, I got a couple laughs in. Few of the options were funny, but I am realizing that they are necessary in a large event like this one.

NO Glow Sticks or LED Gloves

YES Chapstick and Lip Balm (Sealed/Unopened)

YES Cigarettes and Lighters (1 Pack of Cigarettes per Guest)

and a ton more. There wasn't many updates made except for the date changes. however... I don't think the suspicion that most people feel about the event is going to subside because they addressed the main concern. Also, the 22nd, and 23rd is crossed off on the poster.. does that mean that they are sold out?

All day this photo has been exploding through social media and there are many different opinions on it.

When I woke up this morning, I opened TikTok and the first video I see is someone talking about it. 4 bands on the digital poster instantly caught my eye and as I started reading I seen 13 bands/artists that I love.

Another thing that caught my attention was that Live Nation is presenting it... and if you weren't aware, Live Nation hosted Astroworld late 2021, but that's another topic.

so. Information.

On Tuesday January 18th WWWY posted a flyer about a festival that put a lot of people in a frenzy. Live Nation is presenting a WHEN WE WERE YOUNG Festival for a nostalgia festival for all the "emo kids" that grew up or still currently listen to these bands (guilty). It is a one day 12 hour festival showing 65 bands/ artists on October 22nd 2022 from 11am to 11pm at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds with 3 stages.

I know I am not the only one that has questions.

4. How are they going to have all of those bands play with only 3 stages in 12 hours?

I went to the WHENWEWEREYOUNG.COM and was looking at pricing, ya know to see if it was a realistic thing for me to do, and realized INSTANTLY that it was a little more on the pricy side for a one day festival. Tickets starting at $224.99 USD as of when I am posting.
