jac schaeffer in 2021: what if I make a banging show about a false reality where the setting and costumes are different every episode and everyone thinks that agatha harkness is manipulating the whole thing but the false reality was actually created completely by accident by someone named maximoff which I will heavily hint throughout the show but it will still be a shock to everyone when it's revealed

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be excited for with Marvel? I don't wanna see RDJ Doom. I want a proper conclusion to the saga not just a throwaway. I don't want everything to be just thrown away for a reboot.
Idk with Marvel it always feels like I'm being punished not rewarded; like I stan the "wrong" characters (this became an issue starting maybe in Phase 3 at some point?), have put too much effort into the current saga and now even they want to throw it away, etc. Like idc about cameos and nostalgia but feel like I'm supposed to.
Sorry I'm not making sense rn. I don't mind the saga ending but I don't want them to throw away everything with it. I really liked how they made things like Dark World and Iron Man 3 elements people disliked more important/better later on and I want them to do that here too. What do you want to see?
I feel the stanning the ‘wrong’ characters thing lmao. Loki, Sylvie, Moon Knight, Agatha, Wanda… Like they either don’t get the same amount of content or they get killed off and given the tragic plot lines over and over - destined to never be happy.
I think my issue is that the nostalgia can only go so far. Cameos are great but it also feels like fan service overkill, which is why I’m leaning towards them doing a reboot because they have used so many cameos (spider-man & deadpool 3). They’re getting them all done now so they can wipe the slate clean (is how it feels to me).
I think they need to stop with the jokes every five seconds. After Ragnarok, which whilst is my comfort movie, it felt like every project used the same cookie cutter style. It works with some projects and not with others, and I feel Endgame suffered from that treatment, where it didn’t work as well as they had hoped/thought. I liked how each project had its own distinct style when the MCU first started, then it just began to kind blend together and each character began to just exhibit the same characteristics and personality.
For example: Thor in Age of Ultron felt like a good balance of comedy and seriousness and still kept true to the original source, whereas Thor in Ragnarok onwards, whilst is hilarious, felt more like comedic relief. Kate Bishop’s personality fits her, the wit and awkwardness, and it pairs well with Yelena’s deadpan humour, but then you have Kamala who is similar (to me) to Kate. And I get that having so many characters can be difficult to make distinctive, but I’m not too sure about when they put them in a film all together whether it will work because the characters will be too alike at their core.
So basically, I want the MCU to go back to having a distinctive difference between projects (like Moon Knight, WandaVision & Agatha All Along have done that pretty well I feel).
