“For your information, you don’t know you have herpes until an outbreak. You could have had it for years.”
“The joke is you’re a whore.”
“ Yeah, you got it right, I have herpes. Hit the nail on the head. You really think I’ve had sex since I’ve been here? ”

“I need a doctor,” Cato said. This was something he had never admitted before, but since he didn’t know where he was or what was going on, it seemed like an okay place to start. It was obviously a medical ward. Which meant there was something wrong with him, right?
He tried standing up again, this time a little more stable.
A memory flashed through him like a snapshot from a camera. There had been tracker jackers. That’s why he couldn’t remember anything.

Cato frowned. “I guess they wouldn’t have let you go if you were dying or something. Maybe they were just keeping you there while the treated the Herpes so you couldn’t infect anyone else.”
“ Well, I didn’t die, so it doesn’t kill everyone. I don’t know, Miss President’s weird about this sort of stuff. ”

“Okay, so maybe it’s not gonorrhea, but maybe there’s something they aren’t telling us. Like a disease that isn’t the flu that’s killing people or something. Why else would they lock you away?”
“ Well, yeah, you know how germophobic they are here. I don’t think that’s how gonorrhea works, you know. ”

“They put you in quarantine for the flu? Are you sure it wasn’t gonorrhea or something?”
“ Chill out, I knew I was going to get put in there. What I didn’t know, though, was that quarantine was going to be the most uncomfortable room to live in for the best part of three weeks. ”

“Well, what the hell did you think was going to happen? Pretty much everyone’s sick and in the hospital wing.”
“ To say Thirteen’s supposed to be organised against the whole ‘germs’ business, I still managed to get the flu. Quarantine was fun. ”

Cato shrugged, not wanting to talk about it. He opened the door to his bedroom and closed the door behind them. “I haven’t much felt like going anywhere.”
“I asked about you, nobody I talked to gave me an answer on where I could find you though. I’m sure Clove’s looked for you too, she seemed sad when I asked about you.” She told him, following after him. She had just assumed Cato had started making friends and just was busy, apparently that wasn’t the case..

“Alright. Come with me. No one comes in my room. No one’s been looking for me since I’ve got here.” He tried to shake it off, that his family wasn’t here, Clove hadn’t visited, and neither had Marvel or Glimmer.
“No, we wouldn’t, which is why I think your place would be the best bet.”

“Great. We wouldn’t want to be interrupted...”
“How about yours? I caught Clove in mine the other day, and it’d be better not for her to barge in.”

“Sounds perfect. My place or yours?”
“Well, if you want company, I’m free right now. I wouldn’t mind spending some time with you.”
