What's your favorite food?
Hello there -
I would have to say Pad Thai or Pad See Ew. I can never get past my love for Thai food.
On the same level as that, a good meatball sub.
What is your favorite?

Hey joe.. I find your replies quite interesting I am interested in what you'd say to me this is fascinating..
Hello Remi -
I hope you have better luck in your job search soon.
May your laptop be free of chocolate and your quesadillas unburnt in the week ahead.
What are your latest recommended reads?
I have been re-reading Wicked this week, since the movie had reminded me of it again.
The book is much less child friendly than the movie or play were made out to be.
I do prefer the original Oz series but, that’s my own nostalgia speaking.
I hope to keep you fascinated.
-Joe

Hello, you.
Do you miss me?
I watch you from the shadows, the way you hide in plain sight. I prefer a more literal kind of hiding.
Do you wonder where I went? Do you think of me at all? Or do you go about your day, never thinking of me? Never caring of what you left behind?
I think you've forgotten me, Joe. And I can't have that.
I'll have my revenge.
Anoniem,
I could never forget you. I am sorry for my absence.
I have missed you. I have thought of you often. I do care, and I am sorry that I hurt you. I will find you again soon if you allow it.
If you do need revenge, I’ll be waiting.

Yo Joe,
What is your favourite snack to have while reading?
Hot diggity dog,
Monroe
Hello Monroe -
I try not to eat while reading for fear of making a mess and the chewing being a bit distracting.
I do like to go to this little bakery nearby my apartment though, and grab a coffee and a croissant once in a while, to indulge a little as I read.
Hot diggity dog to you as well.

i also have yet to start the book that you brought for me, but it’s definitely next on my list to read.

Hello Lori - apologies for my late response.
How was your visit with family? Are these visits good things or bad? It’s different for everyone.
I have just returned to New York from the UK, I’m feeling much better now.
I hope you’re doing well. Talk to you soon.

Hello, you.
You've been absent. But now you are posting quotes about your darkness. Is it a message, or am I reading into it? Sometimes I can't tell with you. You are like a shark hiding inside an even bigger shark. What I mean to say is: you are an enigma to me.
I didn't see you around New York, either. But yesterday, I spotted you at your favorite deli. I thought about going inside to say hello, but that would have been far too pedestrian, don't you think? It would have been beneath us.
Instead, I watched you. You got a meatball sub and then you walked to the park. You seemed sad. Why are you sad, Joe? And where did you go when you were missing?
Thank you for recommending secret window, secret garden to me. I very much enjoyed it. But I think you told me to read it for a reason, Joe. Do you think John Shooter is like Rhys? Or is your enjoyment of this particular story just a coincidence?
I have a recommendation for you, as well: America fantastica by Tim O'Brien. It's about a man who decides one day to rob a bank, and his life goes entirely off track after that. I am kind of like him, in a way. I never robbed a bank, but I did make a decision at random that derailed my entire life. You were that decision, Joe.
Don't leave me alone in New York again. Even if you never wish to speak to me, I think I will go insane if I am in this city alone, not knowing where you went. I'd rather watch for afar than have you completely disappear.
Love,
Adelaide.
Hello Adelaide,
Please forgive my absence. There were complications I needed to tie up back in the UK. I think things are more settled now.
That meatball sub was amazing, I truly missed having junky american food once in a while. I would have liked to see you again, but I’ll be seeing you again soon nonetheless.
Yes, John Shooter is enough like Rhys that I related to the progression of madness throughout the story.
I am eager to read America Fantastica. I will begin reading it soon.
I wouldn’t leave, Adelaide. Not forever.
I’ll always find a way to return to my roots, and to you.

Hello, you,
I hope you've found your first clue by now. If not, you might need to check around your apartment. The clue will lead you to the next, and the next... Until you find your present. Hint: nobody wants to move a cactus.
Love,
Your Adelaide
I am excited for this.
I’m going to start looking right now.

Hello all -
Today marks the start of
Banned Books Week. Of course, I have to participate. Banned books are the first books you should read.
Don’t let these important voices be silenced.
Kicking the week off with Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It’s not considered banned anymore, but for hundreds of years it was. Frankenstein was banned for obscenity, religious conflict (“playing God”), and moral and political ambiguity. This story has outlasted the test of time.
It was written in 1818 when Mary Shelley was only 18 years old, and is often credited as being the first ever written horror and science fiction novel.

hi, joe!
thought i’d drop in after our book discussion yesterday. i really enjoyed it— and it was a very good way to spend the little free time i had.
also, thanks for paying. i never realised that you actually did until i saw you at the counter when you decided to go to the toilet. which.. very mysterious. but thank you.
next time i’ll pay.
if there is a next time, of course.
i’d love to do it again with you.
XOXO, Lori
Hello Lori -
I agree, it was nice.
I think we should do it again as well.
I really enjoyed our conversation. I hope you enjoy the books we talked about, and the one I brought for you to try.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
