so i wanna draw older (young adult) jesslake in the show style but idk about their designs

jesse def has longer hair, normally i'd say braid but i think i'll actually go with just a ponytail. i'm thinking they're in their early 20s (bc that's how old i am) so jesse prob doesn't wear his pupfish jacket anymore but blue and yellow are so his colors to me, at the very least one will be his main color and the other an accent. i think a t shirt and sneakers still fit his vibe but maybe he gets pants that actually fit right lol

not sure if lake will have grown out their hair into another style? but i def like a punk look for them. still mostly black clothes. i also can never decide if lake is a low effort style kinda person or if im just projecting. like does lake prefer to just roll out of bed and throw on what's comfortable (with a little styling here and there) or do we think how they look is really important to them and something they spend a lot of time on? (not to imply they don't care at all, obviously they do care, it's just a matter of how much)

i would love to hear ideas, both specific and general

More reason to watch infinity train;

1. Cool sci-fi setting, world building, cool characters, and cool locations on the infinity train

2. Short as shit. It’s only 40–10 minute episodes 4 seasons of 10 episodes each(actually shorter than season one of toh but don’t quote me on that)

3. It’s an anthology so each season has a different main character/cast which is cool

4. Season 2 has a nonbinary/trans main character and it’s so fucking well done

5. Season 3 will make you cry

6. The characterization/character develop is so fucking well done

7. Its paced really well

8. It is well animated

9. Please just watch the show I need more fanart!!!!!

Jesslake apocalypse au! Land of All (LOA)

I made this au at least around May 2023 and it got a looot of changes

This au starts with the train crashing out and ending up in the real world, many things happened, the cars are everywhere (some abandoned and some still functional), the denizens getting out of the train, but most importantly… an infection came out of the train, affecting both denizens and humans.

Years after the crash, everyone lives as strays after an invasion of zombies named the Ghoms, which originated from the infection.

Now in the present, Jesse lives in a shelter, he went out with his friends to an abandoned building going after a supposed denizen, the mission is keeping them away. The building is barely stable and when the group walks to a wooden board it breaks causing Jesse to fall, he gets up injured but still able to walk, now having to find an exit. On his way, he hears Ghoms nearby, having no other to hide hoping to not be detected, but then he hears someone killing one of them, who is none other than the denizen they were looking for...

That's all for now, I would talk more about it in the future, if procrastination and/or college doesn't get so involved lol

Since Lake can grow her hair back - and presumably can grow out her nails too - I can’t help but imagine if whenever she cuts them down, she holds onto the clippings until she has enough to forge into stuff. Whether for herself or for Jesse/the Cosays, it would be fun to see what she does with such. Certainly could help with say crafting a punk outfit, that’s for sure.

Also, just imagine Lake being able to show off a knife or even making some chrome knuckles that she can genuinely say were made from her body. It’s a bit hard to get metaphorically and literally more metal than that lol.

this is super nitpick-y but it kills me when in fics the cosays give lake a guest room. idk if the writers are just from a very different culture or what but middle class americans don't just have an empty guest room (unless like, a family member died and they converted it or something). sure they might have an air mattress or a pull out couch but a whole ass guest room??? who can afford a house with a guest room???

not to mention the cosay's house is pretty small. i would guess 3 bedrooms max in that house and even then jesse and nate would both have pretty small rooms.

also, basements aren't common in arizona, so that's even less space for a potential guest room.

just. please. i feel like the cosays are so clearly middle class it's okay to write them as middle class. we see their house in the show and it is a small, middle class family home in a middle class suburb. technically if the lake by the house is an actual lake that would hike up the price making a house with a guest room even harder to afford!!! (though personally i think it looks more like a pond which would only have a small price increase)

tldr the cosays do not have a guest room y'all are crazy /lh
