Every so often, I’ll see a video of San that just makes me want to aggressively (but affectionately) ruffle his hair:’)
Sometimes it’s just a really sweet video of him or one that makes me proud. Like yes, he looked soooo good at Milan Fashion Week, but man, I just wanted to just WOOSHUWOOSHUWOOSHU 🫳🏻🫳🏻🫳🏻 because he’s come so far:’)

I wrote this Fantasy AU!Ateez Drabble a while back, here, take it!
No really, please, it’s been sitting in my Google drive for almost 4 years
Word Count: 336
TW: None
——————
With two kingdoms at war, it was as if Hades himself was at their side, and he perhaps was. The whole day had been almost too perfect, and Hongjoong smirked, invisible due to the cover of the outer castle walls, but caused goosebumps to come over the other 7 masked figures. For months, the group, along with a small faction within the walls, had been waiting for the perfect chance to finally seize control, and here it was. They had been monitoring the feud for months, and watched as the tensions rose, until finally, like watching an egg drop to the dusty market ground, it broke, and what was once a peaceful alliance was forgotten in favor of bloodshed. To say the lord of the underworld himself didn’t have a part in it would be a lie, an understatement, a laughable one at that.
The light of a newly blazing fire leaks over the stone wall, and a bit of moss crumbles and falls onto the ground around them.
It was time for their arrival. Instead of just simply barging in and taking the crown, that would have been a death wish with no real change, after all, the crown was just a gaudy piece of metal placed on a target. They instead opted for bigger, better, more ambitious. The throne. An unshakable symbol of power, he who holds the crown may look good in front of a nation, but he who sits upon the throne has the true power.
A clink and a long drawn out creak, followed by dust only lost souls know how long had been accumulating. A hiss, a snap and a spark followed by a lantern sputtering to life, illuminating the escape route used only by the king’s court for Seonghwa, Mingi, San, and Jongho. The royalty themselves, a panel of 12, had a separate route that the other 4, Hongjoong, Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Yunho are already on their way to shut down and eliminate those who used it to flee.

Ok but why do we get to have a mermaid AU and no sailor AU like I want to see Silvio doing actual sailing and shit
PIRATE AU
Tumblr media
FOREIGN FACTION
privateers. In short, pirates working for the government to carry out quasi-military activities... a pirate with papers if you will
With their solemn and equally terrifying captain, Chevalier who oversees his bunch of lawless brigands abide by the contract or else don't get caught. Don't ever engage in direct combat with his fleet.
Clavis is the quartermaster, during the Golden Age of Piracy this was the highest ranking pirate on a ship under the captain, usually elected by the crew. The quartermaster was the only officer on a ship who could veto a captain’s decision, but only when the ship was not engaged in battle or on a mission. This rapscallion is a wild card, difficult to control, has to be strictly supervised to deter from causing all manner of nautical misbehavior but he's always onto something. All the captives are under his supervision... Some destinies are worse than death.
Nokto appraises the goods values and is the one in charge of dealings, negotiations, pricing and reselling. Also paperwork.
Luke is the errand boy whenever they are at port. He is also the cleaning lad but don't be surprised to find he has enormous strength from doing all that sea man work.
DOMESTIC FACTION
Sailors. Honest to goodness sailors. The Royal Navy.
Leon, this charismatic swashbuckler is the captain of the Crown Fleet. He is easy-going but takes his job very seriously. If they ever happen to pass Chevaliers ship they'll definitely exchange annoyed glances.
Jin is the second in command, this shameless carouser enjoys festivity and especially the riotous drinking once on land. He knows his bitches in every port.
Licht is the lookout. He knows how to read the weather and sea and has very good eyesight. Being up there also gives him some much needed alone time from all the noise Jin is steering with the crew.
Yves is the cook. The first time he was introduced someone in the crew was reluctant to accept him on board saying women on ships bring bad luck. Yves was definitely outraged at that remark but rest assured he became an absolute essential to the crew, anytime he's absent Licht is left to cook and we know how that turns out, pray to the gods someone is there to save the ship from burning.
Sariel is the king's emissary, he communicates his majesty's wishes to the captain and anything paperwork related is to him. His inspections aren't without scrutiny, usually Jin is the one getting a scolding word.
PIRATES
Lawless brigands whose name is feared far and wide. Ruthless and unforgiving like the tempest seas, they bow to no man.
Silvio or as some call him Silver, he's... Well actually, I lied. Silvio is not a pirate but a merchant growing his empire of trade and influence. Let's just say that to do that he has the morals of a large corporation, that is, he has the human rights violations as a checklist.
"The capitalist machine must be oiled with the blood of pirates"
-this guy at some point
Keith is a savage pirate you wouldn't want to cross paths with. He committed all manner of atrocities without batting an eye. His ship mostly sails tropical seas and is very difficult to track as it hides in the mist and uses the weather to sail unnoticed. He's very good in dealing with poisons and has a pet bird on his shoulder, Dill.
Gilbert's face is the universal symbol of death and destruction :D scourge of the seven seas, World's Calamity, and prominent glutton, this pirate sails an Obsidian black ship, incredibly military advanced and commands a ruthless crew. Despite the considerable size of his ship it's difficult to predict what route he's going to intercept (making him a constant nuisance to Silvio). Maaaaybe tried to kidnap Emma... more than once. You're not safe. Not even on land.
That said, you never know from where or when he's coming but when you see the dark flag, it's already too late.
Possibly uses pirate slang unironically

Rio Ortiz Romantic Epilogue
This is mostly a summary for me - I make no promises on the accuracy of what’s happening. I’m not nearly fluent enough to get half the jokes/innuendo much less accurate plot points.
After completing her duties as Belle, Emma has started a new chapter in her life in Benitoite, the country of sea and trade. She is together with Rio, who regained his memories and returned to his life as the third prince of Benitoite.
She resides in the Benitoite Palace as a guest of Rio and the King of Benitoite. Within a few days after arriving in Benitoite, Emma started to receive invitations to social gatherings hosted by Benitoite nobles. This was an expected development, as she is continuing her guise as a noblewoman with some connections to the Rhodolite Royal family started when she was named Belle.
As Silvio had once warned her, Emma is being judged and valued by the Benitoite aristocracy. In her role as a goodwill ambassador, she must attend social gatherings. Even though the thought makes her nervous, she won’t run away.
Since he has returned to his duties as the Benitoite court, Rio’s schedule has been very busy and packed. Still, he has made time at the end of every day to visit Emma with tea. Emma asks Rio about a particular invitation that has caught her interest.
Rio looks over the invitation and admits that it seems like a good choice for her first social gathering in Benitoite. He warns her that the host, an earl, has a notoriously difficult personality, but several of the guests would be good to cultivate as acquaintances. Emma leans over to look at the invitation list, and Rio uses the opportunity to kiss the crown of her head.
Rio warns her that this party is being held on a ship and asks if Emma has ever been on one before. Emma has been on boats on the lakes and rivers in Rhodolite, but not a ship in the ocean. Rio talks about the waves and the rocking feeling but assures her that she will get used to it. Looking out her ocean view window, Emma wonders what it feels like and admits that the anticipation makes her heart pound.
Rio praises the sparkle in Emma’s eyes and muses that if she shows up with that expression, people would love her. She’s charming enough on her own that if she spends too long talking to one single person, doubtlessly she would charm them. Rio asks if she’s planning on taking her maid with her as a chaperone.
During her stay at the Benitoite palace, Rio had arranged for a maid to attend Emma. She was supposed to consult with Rio to have the maid accompany her when she attended social occasions, however from Rio’s expression things would be different this time.
Rio doesn’t think he can arrange a maid to come with her, so instead, he will send a butler. At Emma’s protest, Rio insists, explaining that there will be a lot of drinking in an enclosed space with a party that is made up of mostly men. Emma thinks that Rio is deflecting from his real concern. The events with Emidio are still fresh, and she still isn’t experienced enough to judge where the next attack will come from. It is obvious to her that Rio wants to send a bodyguard more than a chaperone, so she decided to accept Rio’s offer. Rio is delighted and promises to arrange for the best butler in all of Benitoite to accompany her.
Just before the party
‘Butler’: Hello master! It is I, your one and true butler, here to serve you!
Emma: Rio.
‘Butler’: I have been waiting in anticipation to be exclusively yours for this evening.
Emma: I know.
Butler Rio: You could pretend to be surprised, you know.
Emma explains that Rio had been all too pleased with himself after she agreed to bring a butler, which gave his ruse away. Rio is delighted that Emma knew him well enough to anticipate this turn of events and hugs her. Emma knows that technically this PDA is far beyond what a true butler should show their master, but she can’t bear to stop him.
She can, however, ask if there will be any problems with the third prince attending the party as a butler. Rio assures her that he is still relatively unknown to the aristocracy and that if anyone suspects anything he can pass himself off as a look-alike. Besides, he wouldn’t miss Emma’s first time on a ship for the world. Emma has so many firsts coming up, he can’t bear to miss any of them.
Emma still thinks that there are a lot of problems with this arrangement, but when Rio looks so genuinely happy, she can’t tell him no. Instead, she thanks him and tells him that she is delighted to have him accompany her. Rio kisses her on the cheek charmingly, and again Emma is too happy to bring herself to reprimand him.
Upon reaching the ship, Emma realizes that her limited experience with the boats of Rhodolite is nothing. This isn’t so much a vehicle as it is an entire building in the sea. Emma is surprised at how large the top deck is, and how many people it could accommodate. And the inside dining room is large enough to be considered a mansion on its own.
From the railing of the deck, the water shines like a polished jewel reflecting the sunlight. It is far more beautiful than any night sky she has seen.
Rio tells her that Benitoite’s shipbuilding technology is the best on the continent. It’s considered a status symbol amongst the aristocracy and other wealthy people to own a ship, so everyone is competing to show off the most advanced and luxurious ships. The host of this soiree is a shipbuilder in his own right, making this one of the highest-class ships in Benitoite. If Emma likes the ship so much, Rio offers to one day give her one.
Knowing that Rio would actually do it, Emma quickly declines. But Emma decides that she really likes the ocean and the ships on it. And the pride in Rio’s voice as he talks about the shipping industry is proof enough to her that it is worth that love.
Suddenly a man approaches them and calls out Emma’s name, bringing her back to reality. The man is wearing a lot of jewelry, though he barely holds a candle to Silvio. Emma surmises that this must be the host of the party, the earl.
Rio quickly whispers to Emma to keep some distance between her and the Earl, and not quite understanding, Emma agrees. She apologizes for the delay in greeting him and thanks the earl for his invitation. The earl is delighted that she has accepted his invitation, he has several ties and relatives in Rhodolite and relishes the opportunity to make more acquaintances. He offers her a drink to celebrate their auspicious meeting, and motions a nearby servant to bring them drinks.
Emma recalls from Rio’s Love Book Letter that drinking alcohol together was customary in Benitoite society. Mentally thanking Rio, Emma accepts the glass gratefully and is nearly blown away by how strong the drink is. She wonders if all Benitoite alcohol is this strong.
As she mentally compared Benitoite and Rhodolite alcohol, the earl closed the distance between them. He can’t speak long with her for now, but he would love to talk more about Rhodolite. Together. Alone. Privately.
Just before the earl can touch her, Rio pulls her back strongly enough to stumble. Rio immediately fusses over her, asking if the drink was too unexpectedly strong. Rio apologizes on Emma’s behalf to the earl and asks if there is a cabin that she can recover in, as Emma has a low alcohol tolerance. Suddenly a caring host again, the earl directs them away. When the earl isn’t looking, Rio gives Emma a quick wink and she is relieved that he was able to save her from that very uncomfortable encounter.
After securing Emma in a cabin and promising to bring her water, Rio makes a beeline for the earl. He recognizes Rio as the butler from earlier, and Rio kindly thanks him for providing room for his master to recover. The earl makes a polite inquiry after Emma’s health, to which Rio assures him that she’ll be fine. More importantly, Rio was entrusted with a message from Prince Valerio to the earl.
The air grows tense as Rio leans forward to whisper into the earl’s ear.
This will not happen again.
The earl looks at Rio, and instead of seeing the polite and cheerful butler, only sees a mad dog poised to bite him.
In the blink of an eye, the butler has the demeanor of a loyal dog once again. With a cheerful smile, Rio explains that his master is waiting for him so he must be off now. As Rio leaves, the earl thinks about his blonde hair and blue eyes. Blonde hair and blue eyes. It couldn’t be, but could it?
As the rumor of Emma having a terrifying guard dog began to bud and spread amongst the aristocracy, the remainder of her time on the ship went off well. It was only when the party had ended and Rio and Emma were back in Rio’s rooms at the Benitoite palace that she remembered that she had not formally said goodbye to the earl, a minor faux pas.
But on the other hand, with Rio’s warning, it sounds like this earl has a reputation for propositioning women, so it probably won’t negatively affect her too much. She thanks Rio for helping her out of that situation, she is horrified to think of what would have happened if she had been there alone.
Rio warns Emma not to let her guard down in front of the aristocracy or any strangers until she is certain of their intentions. Then again, it would be nice if she could use the threat of Rio finding out about their actions to clear up any similar situations. Emma appreciates Rio’s offer, but she doesn’t want to use his name to solve all of her troubles. She has to find her own way in Benitoite’s social circles to support him.
That said, Emma wonders why the earl never tried to approach her later. Considering how much she had to drink while mingling with other guests, she was certain that the earl would try again later. Emma looks at Rio, scrutinizing his face.
Rio jokingly asks if she’s looking at him like this because she wants to kiss him.  Emma thinks about all the fun she’s had since coming to Benitoite. Sure, she’s had minor worries and anxieties, but with Rio, every day was fun and new, like a gentle world. She wants to thank him.
Emma reaches out, grabs Rio by his butler uniform’s collar, and pulls him forward to kiss him. She meant for it to be a light kiss, but the moment her lips meet his, her heart starts screaming that she loves him. When she finally releases Rio, he is dazed and asks what kind of kiss that was. Emma tells him that she just wants to share her happiness and tell Rio that she loves him.
Rio tells Emma to stop being so cute, his self-control can only take so much. Emma tells him that she doesn’t need his self-control right now.
It occurs to Emma that she may have made a mistake just now, but unfortunately it is far too late. Rio’s heat makes her shiver with its ferociousness, and she pulls away from him to beg him to be gentle with her before she’s pulled back to his mouth. As Rio works his tongue in her mouth, Emma clutches at his clothes.
She tries to retaliate by using her tongue and dominating the kiss and feels Rio tremble under her hands. It makes her happy as she desperately tries to maintain control, and parts again to ask if he likes it. Rio does.
Rio takes off everything Emma is wearing, from her dress down to her undergarments, leaving her bare. He picks her up and carries her to his bed, losing his jacket in the process.
As they continue, Emma thinks back to three years ago when she first met Rio. She never expected that she would end up in this kind of relationship with him. Back then, Rio had been so wary of everything and everyone, but he had gradually opened up to her, becoming first her friend and now her lover. In the end, they accepted each other, both the good and the bad, wholeheartedly.
Emma admits that she has recently come to understand why Rio feels so passionately devoted to her, she feels the same way about him. Maybe this is what it means to love, the feeling that she would do anything for Rio. She tells Rio not to hold back tonight.
Rio tells Emma that there is nothing in this place that he cherishes. Surely by now, she has noticed that his room is bare except for the minimal essential furniture, correct? This is because the only thing in the palace, in the world, that he truly cherishes is Emma.
Rio will cherish Emma forever and begs her not to leave him.
Emma feels herself melt into Rio and promises that she won’t ever leave him. Her first love has also become her last love.

Sariel takes Belle & the Ikeprinces on the monthly Costco trip
@atelieredux this is all your fault, and you know it. Based on this post.
Edit: Here's a quick overview of Costco in case you need a visual of where the madness all goes down.
Tumblr media
Sariel Noir
Dreads the first Saturday of the month more than any other day.
Premium Executive membership card holder for the past 20 years. He wears the same tired-dad-this-close-to-snapping expression every time they take his picture.
Always walks in with the current month's coupon book, a shopping list with prices calculated down to the cent, and a target budget. They have never once left the store according to plan.
His favorite section is the Vision Center because they only allow the patient inside.
Belle
In charge of organizing the items in the cart and checking them off the list.
Was very excited the first time Sariel invited her since she's never had a reason to shop there on her own, but now dreads the trips as much as he does.
Is trusted with alerting Sariel anytime a non-accounted for item "happens to fall" into the cart. Only bothers informing him if the item is too big for her to return to the shelf on her own (like those 48-can soda packs or an extra giant bag of flour or a TV set)
Her favorite section is the book stand in the middle of the store, but Sariel doesn't let her dawdle there for long.
Rio Ortiz
In charge of pushing the cart and unloading/reloading at checkout time. The employees always offer to help, but he's done before they can finish asking "Need a hand?"
Also in charge of rounding up the princes when it's time to leave. He can run across the entire floorplan in 3 minutes, but then he collapses so it's up to everyone else to unload the haul into the van.
His favorite section is Outdoors & Gardening because it's right next to the books.
Jin Grandet
Sneaks giant chip bags and soda bottles and those big Halloween candy packs they sell all year-long (for some reason?) into the cart when Rio turns around. Belle always gives him 3 chances before telling Sariel.
Keeps his eyes on the other princes when they pass through the store to make sure they're not hurting themselves (or anyone else)
His favorite section is Beverages, but Sariel never lets him walk through alone.
Chevalier Michel
Picks a book and sits in the rocking bench in the gardening section. The kids that walk by ask if they can have a turn, but he doesn't budge.
Whenever he finishes a book, he scans the surrounding area to make sure no one is nearby. He runs to the book stand, picks up a new title, then rushes back before anyone can steal his spot.
"Why not just take more than one book at a time?" Clavis asked during one trip. Chevalier grabbed him in a headlock and left him hanging off the wall of a display tool shed until it was time to leave. It was the least destructive trip to date.
Clavis Lelouch
Steals the cart away from Rio and runs around the store, laughing and ramming into people. Sometimes he accidentally runs into the free sample stands and has to awkwardly help clean up.
When it's time to checkout, he is glued to Sariel as he does a last-minute check of the items and sings top-volume in his ear.
When they're stacking the items into the van, he steals the keys and locks everyone out until Sariel apologizes for yelling at him in the middle of the store.
His favorite section is the Pharmacy because it's the farthest away from the book stand and the Vision Center.
Leon Dompteur
Says he'll order pizza for the group the moment they walk in. Ends up spending the entire trip at the food court stuffing his face.
At $1.50 a hot dog and unlimited soda refills, they're just asking for a challenge.
Claims the churros are better than anything the bakery's got, much to Yves's chagrin.
By the time they're checked out, he's been crowned the King of Wieners after finishing 62 hot dogs and is awarded a $500 gift card. Sariel snatched the card and ordered him to wash up for 10 minutes before he'd be allowed back in the van.
Yves Kloss
Spends the entire time in the bakery section inspecting each of the baked goods and reading the ingredient lists for the newest items. Scoffs at the excessive use of added sugars and artificial colors and all those other ingredients he can't pronounce.
Watches the bakers from behind the cookie display with hawk eyes. They're more afraid of him than of their manager.
Eventually huffs, barges into the kitchen, and snatches the piping bag from the shaking new hire. "Let me do it!" he says, and within 15 minutes he's become the new head baker.
Licht Klein
Likes standing in the big refrigerated room with the dairy and produce. Not because he's particularly interested in them, it's just so hot and noisy and crowded everywhere else.
When he gets too cold, he walks through the smaller refrigerated aisles. He spends extra time drooling over the ice cream portion.
Every once in a while, he'll ask Sariel (quietly so Yves doesn't hear) if he could pick something to buy. It's always something small, like a pack of bubblegum or a cheesecake or brownies. Sariel never refuses, and when the time comes he tells Yves that Luke asked for it.
Nokto Klein
Pulls Licht by the chilled arm out of the fridge section to help him tackle all the free samples stations.
Gets upset when the employees Licht visits first claim he's already tried their sample and can't have any more. He started bringing a wig and mustache into the store just so he could double dip with the samples.
His favorite section is Personal Care & Hygiene because it always smells nice there and that's usually where the ladies gather. (And it's where he stocks up on his favorite baby-soft lotion)
Is usually the last person to find when Rio's rounding everyone up to leave because he brings a different disguise each time. One thing that stays the same is that his pockets are always full of snacks he's saving for the ride back.
Luke Randolph
Falls asleep in the car ride over. Has to be lifted out and into the cart by Jin and Leon.
When he wakes up (from the screams of terror after Clavis crashes into another cart), he's usually starving. Opens the triple-fudge-honey-glazed cookie box and starts eating. Sariel wastes more time chastising him than Clavis in the middle of the store.
He prefers staying in the cart because when he walks around people usually corner him and ask him to hand them items from the top shelves.
His favorite section is the bakery because he likes taste-testing the new desserts for Head Baker Yves.
Gilbert von Obsidian
Beat Chevalier to the rocking bench that one time he visited the Rhodolite Costco and never lets him forget it. All he read was one children's book, but he flipped through the pages so tauntingly slowly just to rub it in his face.
As he walked through the aisles, he couldn't stop making comments on how the section locations were not optimal and how things were much better planned in Obsidian. Why were the snacks right next to the adult beverages? And why were the pharmacist and optometrist on opposite ends of the store? And why were there spills and knocked-over carts in every other aisle?
Although, he never admitted it out loud but the bakery was lightyears better than Obsidian's.
Keith Howell
Spends most of his time in the clothes section refolding and rehanging the clothes the other customers mess up. He has an impeccable pant-stacking technique.
He really shouldn't have worn a red jacket that day, because someone came up to him and asked where the bathrooms were. That was an easy one, but after he directed the man another person showed up and asked for the spices aisle. And then another for the meat section. And then for the office supplies...
He doesn't know the layout of the Rhodolite Costco very well, so he just pointed the people in random directions then hid underneath the children's pajamas table until it was time to leave.
Silvio Ricci
Buys Costco.

There's speculation Rio is from a noble family, and thereby he has training from there. Obviously nothing gets by Chev as he can already see past Rio's exterior. And I have to say I'm really not into bubbly overprotective suitors, but I love a switch. And I hope we can see this side of Rio more.

miya’s character analysis - kaeya alberich
anonymous asked :
- !! you do character analysis? If it’s okay, then could you do one for Kaeya? Id love to hear your opinoin
- what do you think kaeya’s love language is?
- Hey, could you analyze Kaeya? I read your analysis on Diluc and I found it very interesting, and I wanted to know if you could do it with other characters (the one that interests me the most is Kaeya, that’s why I asked about him). I don’t want to force you to do anything, so if you can’t do it, nothing happens. I also want to add that I am writing all this from the translator, so if there is something that is not understood, I am very sorry.
my love letter to kaeya,, he is so,,, he,, *grips kaeya* why are you the way that you are? ++ the lovely nonnie who sent the ask through google translate - don’t apologize sweetpea you are totally a-ok! i think it’s really admirable and super cool that you’re communicating in another language! english kinda sucks haha
diluc character analysis can be found here!
- long as hell to keep me warm in these cold kaeya-less nights - 1.3k words - spoilers for kaeya’s stories - content warning : mentions of unhealthy coping mechanisms and dubious personality traits
- In my opinion, a lot of Kaeya’s characterization comes from the in-game voice lines of other characters, specifically how they find him shady as fuck. I feel like the fandom glosses over this or doesn’t explore it that much, but Kaeya is by far the least liked person in Mondstadt. And with good reason too! If you discount the opinions of the elderly and the bandits he often drinks with, Kaeya’s kind of a manipulative bum at the best of times and downright terrifying at his worst. Legitimately the best way I could describe Kaeya is morally gray and chaotic neutral. Literally his whole life is a big lie. (jump to bullet 5 for detail.)
- According to the other characters of Mondstadt, notably the stories from the Knights, Kaeya’s main defining traits, (and the main reason why most other characters dislike him so much,) are his unsung sadistic streak and his wild penchant for manipulation that he acts on whenever he feels like it. This results in his schemes putting both friend and foe in harms way as a path to get what he wants - a very “the ends justify the means” kinda guy. He’d never hurt his subordinates, of course, he’d be less the Captain of Cavalry and more like the Captain of Convicts if that were the case.
- But for me, this is where Kaeya gets truly interesting. In my opinion, this isn’t Kaeya being sadistic for sadisms sake, it’s him scoping out how far he can push his enemies and his subordinates.
