Size: Skull is‭ ‬3‭ ‬meters long.‭ ‬Total size estimates vary between‭ ‬13.5‭ ‬and‭ ‬17.5‭ ‬meters long. Known locations: Peru‭ ‬-‭ ‬Pisco Formation. Time period: Serravallian stage of the Miocene of the Neogene. Fossil representation: Partial preserved skull,‭ ‬mandible‭ (‬lower jaw‭) ‬and teeth.

Known locations: USA,‭ ‬particularly associated with Kansas‭ ‬-‭ ‬Pierre Shale. Time period: Campanian of the Cretaceous. Fossil representation: Many specimens.
