Hmm, I'm not sure. I'm not so present in the fandom anymore and neither are a lot of my mutuals, and the last one didn't get much participation towards the end. On the other hand, I love Halloween, I love uranium city, and I love seeing uranium city fanart and fanfiction! i'll put a poll down below:

For those unfamiliar, @ride-the-cyclober was a month long* Halloween themed event for ride the cyclone and Legoland accepting any kind of art medium, be it art or writing or edits or anything else!

mischa keeps backflipping and/or canonballing off the dock into the lake much to everyone’s dismay

he also tries to bring his phone into the lake to text talia, ocean puts a stop to that real quick

ocean and connie have matching tankinis and bikinis respectively

pennys wearing shorts on top of her one piece because of The Incident

mischa gets one hell of a tan line over the course of a couple hours because of his chair he didn’t take off and thinks it’s the sickest thing ever

noel simply Refuses To Get In because unknown textures and being wet = bad

ricky and constance keep splashing him in an attempt to get him to join them

the most he agrees to is sitting at the edge of the dock

ocean burns. bad. all of the rest of the choir tans, it’s just ocean that capital B Burns. she has to keep getting out to reapply sunscreen every 30 minutes. she still ends up sunburnt, moment of silence for her

poor Connie brought pastries but someone (noel, it was noel) put the bag too close to the lake and when high tide came in they got wet :(

mischa probably swallowed like at least a gallon of lake water by the time they left (on purpose or not we may never know)

Constance convinces them to play chicken fight (heavily supported by mischa) with ocean on her shoulders and noel on mischas

penny and ricky watch from their shared float lounge, ricky sitting on it and penny leaning from in the water

noel only agrees under the promise that mischa wont drop him

he does

ocean wins

she will not shut up about it for the next week

this is devastating to mischa, self proclaimed chicken fight champion, ’s ego

after the drug bust penny and ezra start moving schools a lot because they keep getting in trouble (poor Ms peachery is fighting for her life out here), og pjo shenanigans ensue, ezra has no idea what’s going on but gets dragged along with ricky and penny on the way to chb because they assume he’s a halfblood too, he “dies” at the hands of the minator pissing penny the HELL off and making her kill it, penny goes to the underworld to try to get the lightning bolt back from her dad and save ezra instead of her mom

ricky is still disabled as a satyr and doesn’t just use his crutches as a human diguise

penny has a very brief intense crush on Tammy when they first meet (Tammy just sort of has that effect)

Noel and Mr d are sworn enemies

Savannah, ricky, and penny are different people

On that note ricky names pennys doll Savannah when they go to school together and just says it’s a special name he’s been saving up

maybe her doll plays a part in her powers?? idk

when she’s knocked out after the minator fight she has these weird dreams about a jane doe she can’t quite make out the face of but who’s body looks easily similar to a more grown version of hers… I’m sure there’s nothing weird or foreshadowy about that)

mischa and Talia are in a long distance relationship, neither of their fellow campers in both camps believe the other exists

Tamara sends mischa off to canda for him to go to chb so he can be safe after she dies

oh did I mention chb is now in canda

not in uranium though just Saskatchewan

@june-doe-2024 day 30: Disability Pride Month

***From my Everyone Lives AU wherein an alternate Karnak is the kids' nurse following the Cyclone accident***

In which the kids all come back to life and Ricky finally gets to say his piece. I felt my AU was a good vehicle for this and will probably incorporate this into the fic later down the road.

Wooooooooo!!! My last June Doe for this year! I had the time of my life doing this event. Usually when I do month long art challenges like these I fizzle out by the end of the month and either don't finish or by my last few pieces I'm just not feeling it anymore but this time I think I really finished strong with my last few days. Or, well, comics have never exactly been my STRONG suit but I felt like this conversation deserved one. This is a conversation that we never really got to see in canon. Had I had more time, I probably would have made it even longer.

I always felt like Ricky sort of avoids confronting Ocean on the things she was wrong about, for a lot of reasons. For one, he'd rather occupy his time with things he sees as productive and fulfilling, and he was just never sure he'd get anywhere trying to explain these things to her. For another, he's very observant and he's seen lots of other people's conflicts with her devolve into a debate which she's always trying her damnedest to win. But while he knows who he is and he never felt the need to prove himself to her, deep down it does bother him that this issue never got addressed, and Penny can see it. Something I noticed (at least, in the 2016 version wherein Ricky still has enough lines lol) is that Ricky doesn't really care what Ocean thinks of HIM, but where he DOES feel the need to correct her is her views on the whole of HUMANITY. I think after the accident, getting a lot of time to reflect, he would come to realize that her misconceptions about disability not only affect the way she sees him, but the way she sees disabled people in general. I also did reference the 2018 version here: in that run, Ocean had a line speculating that Ricky had "two? three years?" left to live, insinuating that that's why he shouldn't be the one to come back.

Yes, I definitely could see Penny separately luring the two of them and then trapping them in a room with her to put this to rest, lol. It's the kind of tough love she'd be bold enough to provide. She definitely thinks he deserved a chance to speak his mind and that Ocean owes him an apology.

Mostly. . . Ricky just wants Ocean to love her fellow human. I can't wait to write more of my AU because Ocean's really going to shift her focuses after surviving the crash and I feel like writing all the changes in her thinking and beliefs will be interesting.

This is more of a concept piece: What if despite choosing Penny to go back, Ocean still ran and entered the portal instead? Since I like picking on Ocean, I changed the name of the game a little.

Actions Have Consequences, You Know?: Rated T: Ocean shrunk within herself, unease beginning to take root. “Y-you are?” She stammered. That was Penny Lamb. Karnak told them that before she sprinted through the portal herself.

Oooooof. Man

This took a lot of time and effort but I wanted my free day piece to be something special. I’ve been so dedicated to this idea and this is pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be. AU in which Jane Doe is a TV head and Karnak tells everyone’s stories through her.

I decided to take this prompt just about as differently as I could have- The choir put on a production of their own! This one is based around the production I was a part of in my freshman year of college. Have a mini crossover that I'm not gonna actually count as a crossover: The Choir vs Shakespeare! This one is Jane-centric.

The Opposite of a Dream: Rated G; The choir finds a copy of 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' in the warehouse and decides to put it on. Jane discovers an insecurity.

I had a schedule change, woo! I got a gig going this week that's shifted things around, but June is almost done! For this prompt, I chose the minor character route- in this case, Virgil. I don't know enough about the wonderful cut characters to do them justice.
